I'm still kinda curious about the secrets of the Demon's Plan. Seems there's something missing in between everything that happened during the first chapter.

Well, the start was alright I suppose. Boro just became someone that he probably never thought he'd become. The artwork seems okay so far.

I thought this was decent, but honestly one of the weaker Jump first chapters this year.

On the positive side, I like the MC's design and the friendship between Bolo(hate this name btw) and Carlos feels very genuine.

However, my issue lye within the pacing. Carlos transition to calm, loving and timid, to becoming ruthless and overbearing felt completely rushed and out of no where.

And I know they explained how one receives the powers of the Demon's Plan, but Bolo recieving his powers felt out of no where and had almost no build up.

I also feel like some of the anatomy of the characters in the art was a bit off. Especially when they were children.

Overall it was ok, and I'll definitely give the next few chapters a read

Not really original or anything.

Pretty good first chapter, I liked it.

The friendship between Boros and Carlos was very nice and really well developed. Loved the way both of them stood up for each other, Boros as a kid and Carlos for the scame. I was getting a little emotional thinking that Carlos would die and Boros rushing toward him thinking of the past was really good emotional build up. That being said the final quarter of the chapter came out of nowhere, I agree with @ashtherobot 's opinion that Carlos's transition to an overbearing attitude was way too fast.
Honestly, if Carlos had died, I think it would have been a really emotional first chapter very similar to BnHA's start but in a different way.

The Demon's plan thing sounds quite interesting, I'm interested in how it affected Boros.

Looks like we're starting off with a classic Shounen rescue arc, Let's see where this heads.

That wasn't a very interesting chapter. The pacing was too fast at the end, and it feels too generic.

i enjoyed it and found boro's and carlos's relationship very refreshing, but the carlos's transition between soft and loving to a demon willing to hurt his best friend came completely out of left field.

I liked this start it felt like Tenma and Alone from CDZ Lost Canvas or Guts and Grififh from Berserk but much more human! About the transition on Carlos behavior it's reasonable If you think that he was ready to die for Boro's dream as it was all he cared about and the way it was taken away from him. How much dispair can a broken heart bear? Moreover If the Demon feeds from one's Desire and from what both Carlos and Boro endured during their life there should be a lot of darkness somewhere in Carlos. I'm looking forward to know more about this plot.

Quite cliché - pretty much every single table was a trope. Truly disliked the fact that, once again, it's blood powers. Let's hope it doesn't keep disappointing when the real plot actually starts.

other than cliche edgy revalries and battle, it found them good...

It didn't come out of nowhere at all, it was clear from his flashback that he had some serious issues in the past, all of which would hardly disappear just because he found a friend. Tamed yes, but not gone.
The policeman and the con were the ones who not only pushed him over the edge, but also made his happy life feel like a lie. You don't really need anything more to break a person.

They had to ruin it with the edgy cliche rivalry drama shit

2/5 generic and boring story, probably will be axed soon if the author doesn't make it interersing somehow.

Wow, the art in this is fantastic!
Kind of hard to believe it's the author's first work.

The story seems a little scattershot, but pretty interesting in concept, really curious to see where it goes. I'm really liking it thus far.

Starting this series after it ended, I can somehow understand why this got such a low score. It's like the mangaka is trying to stuff a whole arc in a single chapter. So many things in such a small amount of time, rushed like hell...

The best thing to do for this first chapter was to end it when our hero's bro was arrested. Then end the 2nd chapter with the revelation of this whole Demon's Plan being a scam. Then may be 2-3 more chapters to portray the battle and realization etc. etc. all those cliche stuffs.
