| no way I sing along to the opening every time! Anyway for me this was a top 10 One Piece episode. Amazing animation from beginning to end, some of the best since probably Zoro vs. Kuma and it ended with super poisoned melted luffy. It was thrilling to watch. |
| I never liked the opening. I can't stand it. I still say that it makes Luffy sound incestuously gay for Ace. Not surprisingly, this episode wasn't nearly as epic as the manga version. And I gotta wonder, with the guy who played Jimbei dead (suicide for those that didn't know), I wonder who they're going to replace him with. |

The opening isnt that bad the song is a little weird and the animations a little irrelevant but it could be worse hopefully the next one will be a little more Shounen friendly I do agree though that this episode wasn't nearly as epic as the manga version and I am starting to feel its going to be that way the entire arc |

| Not a bad episode. I like how determined Luffy was in the episode. I can't wait for the next episode, and see how Luffy gets out of this mess. |

| I have no problem with the opening, i like it. and i was also impressed by the weight and atmosphere of this episode. i kinda forgot the manga already so i honestly thot it was even more desperate and amazing here, which i rarely feel with OP (as opposed to Naruto, which is usually a big improvement on the action with the anime over the manga). |

| I love the opening song, its awesome! I thought the episode was great, I was really shocked at the end, I wonder what will happen to Luffy!! As for Mr 2, it was obvious he'd end up rescuing the other two! XD |

| It's just an opening people, don't take it so hard xD This episode was pretty good, got a bit tired of the staring contest between Maggelan and Luffy but the fight made up for it. Second time Luffy got completely owned by an overwhelming power. |

| I would hate the opening but the animation and scenes after Ace walks up the stairs make me like it. And I don't see why everyone is saying the animation was so good in this episode. IMO it was above an average episode but One Piece has seen a lot better. |

| Why complain about the OP? If you don't like, just skip it :D I find the animation quite normal compared to the animation during the CP9 Saga. The animation there was the best for me :D Luffy just got owned by Magellan big time. Can't wait too see the next characters animated and hope that their seiyuu are good and fits them... |

| Damn Luffy was just completely beaten this time. He threw everything he had at him and it still wasn't enough. Even going to the extreme of contact despite the consequences didn't do a thing. He couldn't do enough damage and was defeated. The worst part is the whole there being no way to completely negate all the poison he's ingested. Sure it's Luffy so he'll recover somehow, just can't figure out how. Feel for Ace knowing how dangerous it is to go into this place and worrying for Luffy. Sadly he has good reason to worry. |

| I never thought the opening fit with One Piece...seems like it would fit with Love Hina/To Love-Ru/Rosario + Vampire that sort of thing. I never liked Magellan as a character and he annoys me even more in the anime. |

| Even though it's not logia it's about as bad. He might have felt the impact but they had no real effect on him. You could see holes almost made, but they just got filled in. There was no chance for Luffy no matter what he did or how hard he pushed himself. At least easy enough to see why people could get confused. |
| Indeed in the anime it seems more like logia, holes made and when his arm reforms from hydra to normal also gives a logia impression. However this was never shown as such in the manga. Furthermore if he truly was a logia he would completely transform into poison to avoid being hit and he wouldn't have to use venom road to travel. -> so paramecia, the same as mr3. He can secrete the poison from him like mr3 does with his wax. |
