Not sure why everyone is sad about Fumitan, she dug her own grave.

A) She would have been fine if she just stuck with Tekkedan.
B) The gang is now stuck there because of her antics.

A) I don't think it's as easy as that. She'll have to do her "part" eventually. You don't mess with the mob.

B ) The moment they accepted Kudelia's escort mission and being affiliated with Teiwaz in the process sealed their fate. With or without Fumi, they would have been screwed regardless.

Comparing Kudelia to Joan of Arc, now that's actually very interesting.

Of course, we all know what happened to Joan in the end...

The character designs were a little off-key this episode, IMO- not in the sense of bad drawing, but rather that the designs don't really fit the mood- for example, Kudelia looked way too calm for someone who'd just seen their mentor killed before their eyes. But other than that (which is actually pretty important to me), it was a really good episode. Looks like I've got an excuse to properly check up on my history lessons now, lol.

Great, now Fumitan is dead.

WHY NOT BISCUIT'S BROTHER TOO?!! HE SHOULD DIE BECAUSE HE'S AN ASSHOLE, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!

Somehow i feel bad for Biscuit's big brother. I think he just wanted to help, but yeah he did it in the wrong way (if we look from main character perspective) but it was still reasonable.

And R.I.P Fumitan, i really hope she do not die since last episode but well, her death flag has been flailing too high. It couldn't be helped

Fumitan's death was under utilised that I didn't even feel a thing, looks like this isn't going to be an easy battle for Tekkadan as they are outnumbered.

The saddest part for me was when kudelia said to mikazuki that fumitan was not answering. OMG that was hard to see...
And fumitan died but she did not explain who the fuck are these guys she was working with =(.
She was working for Nobliss? I'm confused

just watched from [Manko]
such an emotional/dramatic episode!
Fumitad Admoss is now dead because of she took the shot that was intended for Kudelia.
4/5.

Flag expected, but felt real & unexpected at the moment Kudelia realized many will sacrifice for her.
Two oldies plotting together.

Damn. That was hard to watch. Everyone saw it coming but it was still very powerful. All the poor union workers who only wanted fair treatment, massacred.
I thought Fumitan's death was handled well. It was predictable but still a strong moment. And they didn't go overboard with the melodrama. She protected Kudelia, said her farewells and that was it. Now I want to see how Kudelia's character arc will progress.
My only concern is that right now Gjallarhorn comes across as a generic opressive nation. I hope they'll do a bit more to flesh them out.

tingy covered pretty much everything I have to say in regards to Fumitan, but I'd like to add that I agree with some of the other posters here that it feels like this is just getting started, in many ways. A second season would be very much welcome.

I'm not overly concerned with it myself. It's not like bad organizations or forms of government in real life tend to have particularly complex reasons for doing what they do. Money and power explain a lot.

Its certain that their corruption is realistic and their manipulation as well. Mostly that Gundam typically focuses on the complexity and amibiguity of ideologies and grey morality. But with this depticion of Gjallarhorn, the line is pretty clear. Its not a major concern of mine either really but I hope they add a bit more of their side.

THE END for Fumitan.

Seriously, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST KUDELIA, you ignorant little idiot! Everyone was fucking shot like cattle and you're there, sobbing like a fucking little Relena Peacecraft 3.0 (but a hundred times more naive) wondering what's happening? No one is that stupid or that dramatically emotionally attached to a bunch of people they just met in a span of ten seconds.

Kudelia's intense denial, ignorance and drama over Fumitan was so stupid. It didn't make me sad, it pissed me off more than anything. No wonder Fumitan hated you, girl.

Fumitan's voice actress did a great job and made the scene pretty emotional.

It bothers me a little how hard it is to read Mika though. Like what were his intentions behind caressing Atra's cheek? And what's he thinking when he looks at Kudelia? The facial expressions are slightly different from his normal facade, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what was going through his head in those moments

That is exactly how I felt, there was no surprise there, but the execution was executed decently, so it was kinda sad. A bit retarded that the maid was plotting all that in the back and when gets a change of heart, dies... Writers are using this one too much IMO.

Another sad and dramatic episode - those unionists didn't stand a chance, unfortunately. I teared up a bit at their deaths when Biscuit's brother was looking at the bodies. I don't have much else to say.

Watching that disgusted face of Chocolate man's friend and baring in mind what our lolicon Chocolate man said before this kind of behaviours from Gjallarhorn is exactly what they want to eradicate.
Chocolate man wants to take more power in Gjallarhorn and change it and stop it from being so oppressing and malevolent.

RIP to Fumitan. Too bad we never saw her with her hair down. She would have looked pretty fine. Can't wait for Kudelia development now. Hope she becomes a more worthy figure than what she was until now.

many people took from that scene that Teiwaz will become their enemy or that they will ally with Galahorn it seems but that is not what i took at all.
What he said was that he seemed to want to support Kudelia and was asking that other rich guy to join him in that. That other rich that plan her death was also the one paying Tekkatan for caring her to earth and wanted to use her death to create maybe some revolution but not because he wanted to stop her like Gallahorn wants.

The Teiwaz president basically said to him "if her death doesn't happen like you planned then how about continuing supporting her for real this time along with me and maybe threw her we can expand our influence and hurt Gallahorn that limits us with it's existence"

"That's not Fumitan anymore."
Such a simple yet brutal line.

Also, did Kudelia really just casually stroll into an active rally? I get that she needed Fumitan but you'd think she'd have some awareness of what she can and can't do given the status she's built for herself

an expected turn of events but handled really well, i cried a lot at fumitan's death and the scene were biscuit's brother was looking at the corpses of the workers was truly dark.
it reminded me of the workers' uprisings after the First Industrial Revolution.
