| I find guys who worry about things like that a little bit annoying and on the other side of things I dont mind if people give me compliments that express a bit of masculinity. Some things I would take as an insult, but for the most part I like to think I have some masculine traits so it's occasionally nice to hear. I think being a bit in touch with your masculine/feminine traits is cool for both guys and girls. |

I've been in that situation before and they clearly didn't mean it badly, so I didn't mind it myself. Then again, they'd also called me other things besides cute so it kind of made it clearer how exactly they meant it? If it was the first thing someone I was in a relationship or attracted to used to describe me I'd be a little surprised, but still not offended. |

| oh, I was thinking more personality wise, but isnt it normal to call a guy cute? it's not exclusive to girls, I would associate it more with something like youth when it comes to physical attractiveness if anything, but I could understand not liking being called beautiful or maybe even pretty because I wouldnt like being called handsome normally. it's nothing to really be offended over though. |

| No, in fact I love it. I want to be cute and appear as others perceive as "feminine". But to be honest I don't really like the term. Same goes for masculinity. They're social constructs. People just are. |

| Pretty - I only had one girl who called me pretty. I took it as a compliment. I kinda like being called pretty. Cute - This one is really frustrating. It has so many meanings when girl says it. It could mean sexually/romatically attractive, or cute like a puppy, or it could be condescending in some situations if they say it a certain way. If first I take it as a compliment, if second then how I take it depends how I feel about the person, if the later its negative. Beautiful - Not sure. Id have trouble believing her. |
