| Holy foodgasms that was glorious, this one's a keeper for sure. And what a father & son combination: Kiritsugu & Kirito who happens to be a readhead. Well, both are anyway. This must've been one of Kiritsugu's dreams after he took up Shirou after the events of F/Z. But Shirou was like nooooo, wanting to be a hero & shit. |

| I'm not very fond of ecchi and this episode didn't change my mind at all. I'm just glad they had both fanservice for guys and girls (but mostly guys, because how else would it sell?) I'm interested in this series because of the culinary academy factor, but if this first episode was a taste of how ecchi this show will be, I may drop it at some point. Who knows? I expect more food and less boobs, but maybe I'm crazy. |

| Lol pretty epic start. Souma's voice doesn't really fit his character -_-' And people hating on the fanservice i don't know if you've read the manga but, unfortunately for you guys. This is just the start of it, and you haven't seen nothing yet. At least the fanservice treats all gender equally. The males also strip. xD And FYI there are 2 Main Heroines in this series. | I would recommend reading the manga to the people that are already criticizing the first episode and already contemplating on dropping it... ^^;; It does get really serious about the cooking aspect. I feel like I have become very knowledgeable after reading the manga and you really do learn a lot about cooking and the techniques and hardships of the culinary world! And tt's only the beginning, after all. Personally, I do not really like ecchi, but the manga had me bursting out with laughter every time the foodgasms came on because the ecchi is too ridiculous to dislike. Their foodgasms are each different and unique, and they all make me laugh like crazy. I am OK with having Kirito's VA for Souma, but maybe they could have picked someone better. I think he's doing fine so far. We'll see how he gets better as the series goes on! The adaptation is already really great just from the first episode! The art and animation were amazing. They stayed true to the beginning, so I can only hope they get better from here on out. I think the show will get so good that no one will drop it. It really, truly is a great cooking series! Also, if you get the manga, the recipes are translated as well~ Everyone has their own kind of character development, and Souma is really cool in the manga as of the most current chapter out! I hope you all don't judge it too harshly just because of the ecchi! I know it really sticks out and everything, but really, it gets even better from here on out. The foodgasms will always be there, but it'll appear a little less frequently. I do think they stretched it out a bit too long though in this episode. But they stayed true to the manga! I don't really understand the criticisms from people who have been reading the manga... I think they did a fantastic job with this first episode. Oh, I also think the art in the manga is still better than the anime, especially when it comes to the facial expressions! But the anime did a solid job! Anyways, this is definitely going to be the anime of the season for me, haha. My expectations were blown out the window! I'm really looking forward to the next episode~ I wonder how long this will be? I hope it gets multiple season; it really deserves it, especially with how things are in the manga right now!! |

| Good OP/ED. The art and animation are really nice as well. Voice acting is great. Plot is interesting, I'll surely watch this. But the fucking fan service??? I can't even??? | tfw you mistakenly thought Ohsaka Ryota was voicing Souma, and them BAM Matsuoka strikes again. You'd think they'd opt for some diversity in their MC's at least in the same season. Props to JC Staff on everything else though, the episode was delicious in every way. |

| What a lovely st- is that girl getting raped by a peanut butter squid? Aside from the strangeness of the foodgasms which I actually found pretty hilarious, the show is looking pretty promising so far. OP is good, but the ED leaves a bit to be desired imo. MC served that bitch up with a side of pork and potatoes. The whole enrolling in school kinda disappointed me though. If the show were about dealing with and defeating problematic customers within the restaurant, I would so watch that. But it's too quick to judge, let's see how this elite academy story goes... |
