That is most likely because listening to music on Youtube is much easier than using a separate program and you can use an add-on called Last.fm Scrobble which adds the music you listen to on Youtube in your Last.fm list. So, to me, there is no point in logging in to Last.fm |

Without lastfm i wouldn't really know which are my favorite songs even.. i've used it as a radio and i've used it to find new music and mostly to stare at my profile and hope somebody is stalking me. You get to learn stuff about artists if you care. Theres also monthly top songs which is cool and its one of the things i look for every month and sometimes its a surprise , sometimes i know which one its going to be ! There may be more alternatives to lastfm now but when i started using it i didn't know any and im pretty sure there were none/not very much. Having whatever music you listen recorded is cool.. you can look it up in 10 years and remember stuff and be like "oh thats what i used to listen" and then remember a feeling or something, i dont know |

No, there are apps that allows it to track what you listen to on the internet, or through iTunes, foobar, etc etc. Also has a phone app so it can track what you listen to on your phone as well. So, its good to use it so you know how often you listen to certain things, if you're into that. |
