Anyways, there are arcs before it that I enjoyed (such as Shikamaru and Hidan), and I'm sure another person might enjoy some of the other arcs. But since the OP expressed boredom with the first few arcs and the Pain arc can stand on its own, I think it'd be best for him to just skip all the nonsense (because, really, there's a good bit of nonsense along the way). If the OP were enjoying it so far, though, it'd admittedly be a different story. |

| Naruto has a couple of amazing highs but it drags through so much of it, filler or not. That plus I never could like any of the characters much means it'll never be one of my favorites. I think you have to be somewhat of a masochist to really love the show. |

| Episode 1 for me. The timeskip made all the annoying characters from the first show bearable and the main plot finally started the **** up again after all that filler in the first show. Then there was the better music to top it off. Just drop it if you don't find it interesting, I've dropped it and picked it back up myself about 3 times, myself, usually when there is a long flashback/filler arc. Naruto's quality control is very questionable. |

| If you asked me it some years ago I would say: "Watch it" right away, but right now I don't know if I can tell you that, thing is, it is dragging for so long, and there's so many fillers episodes that really annoys anyone, I keep going coz you know, I watched 390 episodes, and there's some parts that I want to see animated, but still, it's tiring...it's like Bleach manga, should have been over years ago! |

Only problem I had with the beginning (at my re-watch) was that it was noticeably slower, than usual, Team 7 going to the sand village, and from there to the Akatsuki hideout, was really slow, and Team Guy fighting against themselves (which I skipped in my re-watch), other than those two things, the Kazekage arc was amazing for me. The pacing gets good again, from the Hidan and Kakzu arc, and onward. |
