| It helps but generally I will watch what I want to watch. However at least 9/10 opinions on an anime at least here will be the oppressive type you mentioned. I'm just as guilty sometimes but I try not to be. |

| Usually I don't bother with others opinions of the show. But if it comes to the point were i cant decide whether to watch and not. I typically prefer the person who has a more well-mannered opinion like you stated above OP |
| frankly NO, after being on MAL for some time i realized, that tastes really differ, some might like this but others wont .... an opinion "might" interest me if it measures/gauges solely the amount of effort put into said anime (of course basing on his opinion) and those are kinda hard to find on MAL, because most of them believe that this is impossible to accomplish, however I AM setting a very high standard here, so not expecting mush from a bunch of 18 year-olds. |

| A well thought out opinion is always going to be in my considerations when looking for an anime. It shows that someone took their time to write out their thoughts so that everyone else can see, but since this is entertainment we are looking for whether anime or manga in the end it really just counts if you know what you're looking for. Someone can say anime X is not great because reason Y, but I would think most people would still try to give some anime a chance because entertainment is something that can be judged, but not be judged for you. At least I hope so. |

| If there's one thing I have learned from being here on MAL it's that it's impossible to state your opinion without being shit on like if someone says I love Naruto an asshole will come in and say you got shit taste but what they fell to realize is that everyone has there own opinion and they make themselves look like dumbasses without realizing it so yes it does matter to me but it's hard to find good opinions these days |
