This was bottom of the barrel. I'm sorry, Naruto. Obito was the coolest dude? Maybe the small Obito, but this guy? This entire shit is going on because he couldn't get over the death of his friend. He killed your parents. He killed your friends. He mocked the death of your friend in front of you(Neji). I know it was like year ago to US, but to Naruto himself, what, a couple of hours ago? |

I felt bad for Obitio even though he did a lot of bad things (this doesn't redeem the things he did at all) but I kinda wish he stayed a villian until the end (but can't expect that in Naruto) and died earlier. He started to be a plot device at one point. WTF Naruto? Praising him? There should be a limit to your forgiveness. Why didn't you guys grab his eye for Kakashi? Kakashi is useless now v.v. |

Lots of lol-moments in the chapter, but whatever, I like the end of Obito, though it took real long to get to it. Black Zetsu was damn talkative, eh? And seriously, Naruto, why do I keep liking you less as a character as the series goes on? Edit: "Let's recharge our chakra." "Don't waste your chakra." Well at least chakra is still not limitless. |

I felt sorry for obito but he deserved to die. Because he did so many bad things, he killed so many people -kushina and minato agagagagag- Even if he regrets, it doesn't change what he did. So i liked this chapter and i know that when this scene comes i won't be able to hold my tears back |

Finally, Obito dies. And it was a good death. I was hoping Obito would give his eyes to Kakashi. Oh well. In the end, I feel bad for Obito, but he still killed lots of people including Naruto's parents. But that's the past. At last, he met Rin again. I wonder if he's gonna get friendzoned. lol Naruto cutting off Kaguya's arm was intense! Overall, this chapter was great. 5/5 Can't wait for the next chapter! |

Neonzel said: "I can't see him as anything else but awesome" Does Naruto have short term memory? This guy killed Neji, his parents, he's the reason why almost every bad thing in the series happend, but somehow Naruto just seems like it doesn't matter anymore because Obito also wanted to become Hokage a long time ago. Naruto just keeps making me dislike him more and more. Think for a moment, and understand what Naruto meant, the context, and Naruto's emotional nature, and what he felt specifically during those scenes. ''Don't you laugh at Obito! Obito tried to become Hokage. To me I can't see that as anything but awesome'' He thought that was awesome, Obito redeeming himself, and saving him and Kakashi. He is describing the current version of Obito, and how sincere he was, in trying to make up for his mistakes, and what he saw back then when he connected to him when Obito was the Juubi's Jin, how Obito could have been an important figure and respected in his life, how different Obito could have been (just read that chapter). This was directed towards BZ, because BZ has been shitting on Obito, and calling him all sorts of insults, while Naruto thought the current Obito was awesome. He did the same thing with Nagato. In the end, he judged him, by his final decision (atoning for his sins and taking a leap of faith in Naruto). Goodness gracious...Shit is not rocket science. |

Behemoth11 said: Again: nope. Naruto forgave Obito, he even called him 'the coolest guy' just because he wanted to become Hokage. But that's simply a judgement of the books cover. He reduces Obitos character and his involvement to sympathize with him. That kind of pattern is known in the Shōnen-Genre, but Narutos case is one of the worst I have ever seen. Whether he called him the "coolest" guy or not is a problem of translation, there's the same page somewhere else where he says "I can't see him as anything else but awesome". Respecting the dead people does not equal to forgiveness, we'll agree to disagree on that, until he actually makes a long speech about how good Obito is, and how saddened he feels by his departure, then I'll take it as if he was forgiven, for now, he simply atoned for his sins which changed Naruto's opinion of him, nothing more. Madaras conclusion is based on a whole lifetime of fighting and enduring. And there lies truth in Madaras words. Obito never participated in a war, except the current one. It's useless to compare Madara and Obito in this context. Obito only lost Rin, how can you say he had to endure 'too much pain', huh? As I said before: try to be more objective, please. In the end everyone has a choice. Obito had the chance to never return to Madaras hideout. He was already 15 years-if I remember correctly- at that time. He was 13-14, not 15, Madara's conclusion was based on reading the Uchiha stone, nothing more. It is barely his own vision, anyone would find out that CHAKRA is the source of "endless suffering", unless you're brain dead that is. Madara participated in a few wars, which gave him experience, but nothing more than that, it does not put him in a position above Obito, trust me, he's as foolish and moronic. No, Obito never had the choice to return to Madara's hideout, Madara himself plotted it, try to be more "objective" yourself and re-read the pages where he takes his rinnegan back, he even put a seal on his heart for a reason. He said that EVEN if Kakashi didn't kill Rin, he would have done it himself, he saw Obito's potential to shift away from the light and get engulfed in darkness. He planned the whole thing, just to force him to stare in the darkness, and find reason in Madara's plan, you do not realize what BRAINWASHING and MANIPULATION mean, in his case, considering he was not as mature and wise as Itachi, he got fooled by a retarded thug. There's also a reason as to why Black Zetsu compared Madara to Obito, he's not any different, Madara was as foolish, whether he participated in wars or not didn't matter, once an uchiha endures PAIN whether it is by the death of one or a million, they will turn away from the right path. The intensity of the pain does not matter, and the sharingan abilities reflect your emotions, if Obito earned a god-tier sharingan, then yes, in his stead, it was too much pain to handle. I really had to stop reading at first after reading the last part. Naruto sympathized with Nagato as well as Obito. Because of it, Nagato has used Rinne Tensei to save the people of Konoha. Yeah, Nagatos trust based on Narutos decision to forgave him. Or Nagato's trust based on Naruto's ideals, he believed in Naruto and wanted to see what his answer was, I do not think he would care about being forgiven, you're misreading or definitely not getting to the right point. Because as Jiraiya's disciple, he was given the task to break the curse of hatred, Nagato wanted to find assurance by interrogating Naruto. Either way, he did forgive Nagato, but Obito? You wouldn't know yet, it's not one line that sells it all. That's kinda nonsene. Nagato did far more. He was a member of the Akatsuki who killed also Jinchūriki(Naruto knew that), he killed Hanzō and his whole family, everyone who had a connection to Hanzo actually. Nagato was out of his mind. That's all? Hanzo who forced him to kill Yahiko? And? Hanzo deserved it, he got fooled by Danzo and strayed from the path, it's called justice. Whether you agreed with Nagato or not is your own problem, and mindset, it definitely was well-deserved like how Obito's death was. Nagato killed a lot, but his kill count definitely won't rise up to Obito's, Nagato was still naive to begin with, he fought for what he thought was right, he didn't kill people randomly on a whim. ...and still wanted to be with her together. Even as an 'adult'. He never got rid of those feelings for a thirteen years old girl. -.- And? That's called love, manga and real life logic are different, why are you trying to make them collide with one another? You do not realize how ridiculous your statements become, right after you add the "lolicon" part, no one will be able to take you seriously or even bother arguing any further, because it's immature, childish, old, and nonsensical, the worst use of the word I've seen. I'm not going to go any further with this argument, there's just no point to begin with, the character has died and is leaving space for the fight, we'll agree to disagree, let the manga give one of us the right to boast off, simple as that. |

Some nice layer and detail that I noticed for those who care about Obito. Obito did exactly Naruto's idea of a Hokage. He walked in front of everyone else, and died for the sake of creating a path for Naruto. I'm still happy about this chapter. Really strong and impactful scenes in it. I hope the next chapter is not dimension hopping, major plot developments need to happen. |

Now that's a good death, but I just can't let the "coolest guy" line slip. That reminds me too much of Kirito praising Kayaba in front of Sugou. A motherfucking terrorist who just lost his way and somewhat redeemed himself in his last moments, but a motherfucking terrorist nonetheless. Except he didn't excuse it, goddamit. He described CURRENT Obito's decision to get his punishment and redeem some of his mistakes, and the dream they shared. It's as if that one line, implies that Naruto thinks Obito wasn't wrong or is excused for his crimes, it implies quite the opposite actually. He didn't forgive him complete, he acknowledged the sincerity from Obito. Well w/e, this was the best chapter ever since BZ derp plot twist. The funny part of all of this, is that line might have been a mistranslation, it's not the first time it happened, what Naruto said still fits his personality of describing people imo. At last, Obito is dead for real this time. Naruto respect him too much, though. He is still evil no matter what. Sasuke's "silent "respect" or "i don't care" face more like the appropriate way to do. Just like Itachi said, maybe Obito died as a hero. Too bad they didn't/can't steal the Sharingan, now Kamui hax is gone. I feels it too, Kakashi. This is probably enough for the build up. Naruto actually reached Kaguya rather quickly when he lobbed off her arm. I do remember him having a lot of speed in Kyuubi Mode, but he hasn't shown that kinda speed yet. And I'm pretty sure Kaguya could still outmatch him. So....what happened exactly? Was it Sasuke who somehow teleported him? |
Jul 30, 2014 5:11 PM

I think it was just speed. Naruto can use any of the abilities of the tailed beasts and implement them in the way he sees fit (magama from Son Goku on the rasen Shuriken, Kokuō on Taijutsu) I think speed comes from Kurama, and the way he cut her arm, was like he did it with a claw. Although I'm not sure, since it hard to see in manga form. I think she may have attempted to avoid the attack, but Naruto was too fast, or Naruto was targeting BZ, for obvious reasons. |
