I noticed that we have this topic for anime but not for manga, so here it is!

I've been slowly acknowledging that I haven't enjoyed reading Hot Gimmick since volume two or so, and after eight volumes I've officially dropped it.

Oh! My favorite manga! What don't you like about it? (just curious...I know what most people find at fault with it, just wondering if your problems with it were the same)

I've never thought about it, but I've never dropped a manga series before.

i've actually never dropped a manga. usually when i start them i finish them in one sitting (if they're not too long)

otherwise i put them on hold because i dont like waiting for releases. then after a while i catch up and put it on hold again lol.

It's mostly because of the characters, they all either annoyed me or just didn't interest me.

Gothic Sports. Pretty horrible imo. I guess I dropped it because I just didn't like the way it was drawn and the story were horrible boring. Duh, might just buy the last vol just to see how it ends.

I dropped Claymore . It sounds surpridsing as it seems that most of the people like it but after the first volume I stopped and after a few months I realized that probably I wouldn't read it again . I hated the art . Every time I read another page I disapproved and I wasn't enjoying it all even though the story wasn't really bad .

I haven't watched the anime yet so I hope it'll be good or at least better than manga ...

lol that reminds me, I own a volume of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha. I need to add that to my list...

Well, I also sorta dropped Ranma 1/2 due to it's length (I didn't realize how long it was, and the first volume didn't interest me so much as to buy all that...)

I also dropped Lights out and Skullman. Both series didn't hold my interest and I didn't like the art.

I dropped a few but not for good. Some of them will be read later when I'm done with the ones I'm currently reading and the ones on hold.

I dropped Death Note becuz I already know the ending and hate it, and I dropped Jojos Bizarre Adventure becuz the drawing is terible.
I also dropped One Piece, Bleach and Naruto becuz they drag on and on. I might continue Naruto and Bleach later. Not sure about One Piece cuz I don't like plot as much and the art is terrible.

Dropped Saiyuki. Blind purchase that couldn't catch my attention in over 200 pages.

Even as a fan, I'll admit the art in the first couple volumes of the "Stardust Crusaders" arc is weak.

Saiyuki, Inu Yasha, Ranma 1/2 and Naruto are a few that I can remember off the top of my head. Naruto was ok at first, but I just got bored before the 5th volume. Inu Yasha/Ranma 1/2 I started to read in order, got bored, read random volumes and just stopped. I tend to drop stuff if runs on too long or obvious patterns start to develop.

I wanted to drop Death Note but since I made it half way I had to finish it.

Can I count a series as dropped if I only saw three pages? Cause I tried to read the Ouran Host Club manga, but I thought the characters looked really creepy in the manga. I'll watch the anime some day, probably, but I can't read the manga.

The anime was awesome, but the ending was open ended because the manga hasn't finished :( It takes a little while to get used to, but since it's such a great story, it really makes up for the art style!

The only manga I ever really dropped was Parfait Tic ... I read up until Volume 11, was having trouble with all the anguish going on, read a few spoilers and said "I can't handle this". Especially since I'd been on the other side of the world from my boy for three months at that point, and didn't need more emotional turmoil that would continue for the next 11 volumes...

Last volume just came out a while ago - I think I'll see how it ended, and decide whether to pick it up again or not.

Death Note because my parents banned me from it untill I'm 16.
Excel Saga because I really didn't get the humor.

Haven't dropped a single manga lately. However, I did drop shojobeat magazine. I just couldn't take anymore. The only series from their line that are any good (imo) are vampire knight, anything by kaori Yuki, and arina tanemura

Death Note after Vol. 7. Seen the anime and know that it all just goes down the shitter after that. I also have decided to drop Gintama after vol 3. This is a manga that I WANTEd to like more than I actually did I think. I don't find myself laughing as I should. And there isn't anything remotely interesting enough for it to not be a humor manga so I find myself saying blah how dull after each volume. All I can remember from reading them is the dog thing that bites Gin's head. Literally.

Naruto. Long much? It was driving me insane how slow paced it was going. IMO
And Fruits Basket, corny. I thought the anime was corny, but damn... the manga proved to me that it could just get even GAY-R

"GAY-R"??? :'( Well, the beginning was kind of slow - especially if you'd just finished watching the anime. But the ending was fantastic ^^ My top 10 for life!

Glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. I dropped Death Note manga awhile ago but I own them(about 8 volumes) so I might complete it even though I know what happens. Not even gonna bother with the anime!

Love monster.

I kinda just click at it and didn't read its summary at all, and what kind of manga it is. And then i just found out that its not the type for my age, its a bit all about $xx and it has lots of nude scenes and stuff. And i don't find it very entertaining at all, in short its not my type and also its kinda boring.
