| Shit, with this my second favorite character is dead. Didn't really expect he would die here like that. RIP Mello & Matt. I predicted for some reason Light intended to replace Takada with Mikami, but I'm glad that wasn't the case. Instead Takada ended up being used and thrown away rather than Mikami. Now all is up to Near to finish the job once for all. |

| Seriously, after L died, there hasn't been an episode that is mind challenging. They don't SHOW how they do work. It's just like, BAM! I KNOW IT! Unlike L. Too many plot holes. Seems like KIRA is just too cooperative with the officers...and isnt LIght's people just too fucking stupid? I mean, omg! You're a freaking detective for god's sake! It's your job to be suspicious! And! Isn't it enough evidence to prove light is kira. I mean, just look at the way he talks at N. They should have known it at the very time the mobs were invading the pkc's headquarters. Light was like making N admit defeat! And matsuda is...god..why did he even became a detective..and all of the officers... Mhello/ Mello..too bad he died -_-. He could have been the saviour of this show.. And just how the hell did takeda knew howto spell mello's name? I doubt that Light knew it. The only person who knows mello's real name is Light's father. And he never mentioned mello's real name. Let alone spell it. Just look at the spelling of his name..Mihael Keehl..who the shit would know how to spell that without writting it or spelling it out??! Oh god.. |

I would not expect that Raito will kill that girl... Two murders, a little bit big in one episode. Nice...  A minute of silence for him... |

| No, they did Mello dirty. Such an interesting character and he got little to no screen time and a really underwhelming death at the hands of Takada of all people. I feel like they've pushed Near as L ver. 2.0 way too much and that it would've been a lot more interesting to just have someone reckless and unpredictable like Mello at the forefront instead. After all, you can't predict the movements of someone who can't predict their own movements. It would've been something a little different from the first season with L...because let's face it, the whole Light vs. Near is nowhere 'near' as fascinating (sorry for the bad pun lol) as the cat-and-mouse game between L and Light. Why try to reinvent that when you've already created someone as unique as Mello? It doesn't make sense! Still a great episode nonetheless, and good riddance to Takada...she really was pathetic in the end. |

| Who else thought on first viewing back in 2007 that the opening scene with the music 'Death Image' was taking anime to another level? I felt as if after this, nobody can call anime stupid ever again. |
| I remember the manga making Mello's death more memorable. Even still was incredibly unsatisfied because Near overshadowed Mello's presence in every way possible. |

| There's so many hidden plan played out in here. Light's plan has been hidden from us viewers, unlike the first part of season where we are given the protagonist's plan and the antagonist's plan and are able to expect how things will happen. If only Light were seated in the front seat of the car, things would have turned differently. And Light stated it too that they're stupid. Aizawa who usually very sharp about this, somehow didn't realized. That's what you get for eating too much chocolate XD. Light treat Takada just like sacrificial pawns. He doesn't feel any feelings for her afterall. So it seems next episode Light gonna dispose anyone who has the knowledge of the note, this means he gonna kill the investigation team and Mikami. |

| she was foolish to think that kira would love her or even spare her life. also why does mello feel like such an unimportant character? they just killed him off like that. but then again what to expect from this anime, L did die just like that too, i felt like they could have done more with the art direction, but i'm not sure if it's just a faithful adaption of the manga and i saw this coming, kira wanting those who know about the death note to die. it just didn't sit right with me with such a large number of people knowing about the death note and shinigamis, felt so disconnected, can't wait to see what happens! |

| Mello's character felt so expendable in this anime that his death really felt anticlimactic and had no real effect on me or the story since the anime's heavily focusing on the Light vs Near dynamic that he was just left out completely. Did find Light's psychotic nature of making Kiyomi commit suicide and burn all the evidence up, including what she wrote on the pages that she had, to be pretty damn sickening and good though. Despite his character losing a bit of interest over time, he's easily carried the show, especially the 2nd part where really no other character is that good, let alone close to his level. |

| My quick guess is that Mikami won't do it because Near is a kid...but what do I know. If it's for 'greater justice' in Kira not getting caught, who knows. Light is such a jerk. I hope Near wins. |
| Hmmm, I don't feel much tension. But that's probably just because I feel Light is gonna definitely lose in the end. It makes the most sense with the way things have been going. Its just a matter of how he loses. I really really hope towards the end it reveals that this all according to L's plan and the one to take out Light is L. I feel it can only be L. |

| Oh things are finally getting exciting and just two episodes left. Honestly I just wish Mello had more screen time, or wish he atleast had a on screen death. I wanted to like him so bad but he barely even did anything |
