I was all set to come in here and say I didn't like the episode, mostly because I didn't care for a lot of these events in the manga. Then the scene with Killua, Alluka, and Nanika happened. Damn.

Troll level: Pariston.

Well done episode overall.

I think the dialogue between Gon and Ging was a bit different in the manga, eg: Gon did say that Kite turned into a little girl. I think it makes more sense in the anime, it was a small plot hole in the manga.

Pariston crying... wow.

I think the part where Ging told Gon about Kite's power is true but...

I still think that he still died and reincarnated to an ant.
And his power has nothing to do with it.

I agree as well.

Pariston is dat nigga. Too bad ill probably never see him again after this ep. Same with Ging. I feel like the ending to this anime is too abrupt. Hopefully its just going to be on a small hiatus or thats just whack. Phantom Troupe my fav villains are like irrelevant now. Man too many ends not tied up

Gon and Ging's meeting was so goofy, thought so in the manga and still think that now. I almost sort of love it, since it's such a bait and switch anticlimax of the goal that set us on this wonderful journey. But it's goofy and silly as shit.

Luckily, Zoldyck side of things brought the feels. I'm way more invested in Killua's relationship with Nanika and Alluka than I ever was in the manga, so good going on -- once again -- improving the material Madhouse.

VERY excited for next episode. Judging from the preview, they're going to be covering an extremely important scene, and based on the tone of the narration, they're going to be executing it with more panache and reverence than Togashi did in the manga. I've got faith Madhouse: work your magic.

Well, I ended up enjoying this episode far more than I expected to.

The meeting between Gon and Ging was probably the most surprising part. It seemed very believable and Ging actually gave Gon some good advice, though I'd have to agree with the crowd (which was hilarious) that Ging is a horrible father. (As a side note, I thought it was interesting that he too had spiky hair.)

I do wonder about Kite's ability. I don't think that's what saved him, but still.

Pariston is a troll to the core. Even his remorse involves his being unable to "play with" Netero. Still, this confirms his character, and I think I can say I like him as a character. He could make a rather interesting/entertaining villain. (Also, Cheadle seems kinda obnoxious. Just sayin'.)

I have mixed feelings concerning Alluka and Nanika. While the scene was touching, Nanika's mere existence appears to be very overpowered and balance-breaking. It doesn't even seem related to nen (though I'm still guessing it is). While it may be too late for the anime, hopefully this will be explained or better balanced somehow in the manga.

Only two episodes are left. It's so sad to see this come to a close. x.x

Pariston finally became chairman only to give up the role. That was sad indeed. Anyway, his prospects for the future are great, and it is nice to see this anime finally wrapped up. On to the Pariston spin-off series!

Rewatching some parts... I noticed that:

1. Ging removed his hat but magically appeared on his head again.
2. Alluka scolding Killua reminds me of Rikka's speech during delusions. I know, same VA.

Gon was so f***ing annoying in the episode, what's worst is that I don't give too shits about Kite we only saw him for like 2 episodes and that's it. Gon was just so lame.

Any ways, I liked the part with his father and the audience.XD good episode I like it, the part with Alluka was kinda weird, I'm always laughing when She says "kay" but her eyes spinning looks so cartoony though, overall a good episode. 4/5

Ging understand and not understanding xD
Ging teaching a little something to Gon about friends and Kite's power.
Ging being a bit cold to Gon and that crowd complainant xD
Peer pressured then challenging the whole crowd to a fight ^^
Pariston winning then giving up being chairman. Pariston actually enjoyed being vice chairman to tease Netero :(

Illumi figuring out more about Alluka's power and seeing how it is invincible with Killua around!
Nanika is so cute wanting Killua to praise her! Killua telling Nanika to not come out anymore so no one could abuse the power. Then she saying that she loves him :O
Nanika with those crying eyes :( after Killua insisting on her not to come out anymore.
Alluka getting mad and crying for Nanika being disregarded! How she said that Killua has to protect Nanika too T.T
Killua apologizing while Nanika was coming out. It truly felt that Killua made a new little sister ^^ It was adorable and touching for them to hug filled with tears T.T
Even Tsubone cried!

It's done by the same people who did episodes 80 & 126 (Gyro flashback & Netero vs Meruem finale), judging by the way Gon looks, so I expect nothing less.

From what I understand Nanika = Something. They decided to translate it, I feel they shouldn't have.

I was fine with them calling Senritsu "Melody", since that can be an actual name. As someone else said, this is like translating Jamal to "Camel".

But, if this show were to be dubbed in another language - I suppose they had to go with Something.

I honestly would prefer them to use Nanika even in a dubbed version. Calling a character "something" sounds stupid.

What does Viz's translation do with Nanika's name? Pretty sure I've asked this before, but I don't remember what the answer was.

Well now they can basically solve any problem by using their little pocket sized miracle maker.

She's too OP she needs to die or have serious limitations imposed before the story starts getting negatively impacted by her presence. Oh well only 2 more eps left anyway.

It's pretty obvious they are setting up a power struggle over Alluka in the Zoldyck family. So, basically, her overpowered abilities have opened up another can of worms.

Good episode. The Alluka part was emotional so it didn't bother me like it did in the manga. Ging was hilarious but next episode is his best moment~ Pariston just wanted to play with Netero and the association one last time, Ging didn't think things through apparently. XD

It's Nanika in the Viz's translation.

We have 2 episodes and 3 chapters left, maybe the last episode will have some stuff from the Dark Continent Arc.

Haha, what's cool is how original it was. Most shounens make first meetings like that super special or dramatic, Togashi doesn't do that. Who would have thought Gon would meet his father like that?

Even at that, I tend to agree with him. As it is, she's overpowered. It doesn't matter who controls her or who she wants to help. I'm not saying that overpowered is inherently bad, but I hazard to say that I'm concerned, even with Togashi being the writer here.

Even if the power itself is left OP, there needs to be some kind of limiter. I think Vash the Stampede is a good example- extremely overpowered, but he'd never use the full extent of his potential simply because of who he is. Alluka has no limiter. Not only that, her specific ability is far more vast than the likes of someone like Vash or even (in HxH) Meruem. She can do literally anything, as far as we can tell.

Yeah. Isn't it a little strange that back in the Chimera Ant arc Killua didn't just go back home and ask Something to kill Meruem? Or all of the royal guards? The only thing preventing him from seeing/remembering Alluka was Illumi's needile right? He should have remembered as soon as he pulled it out. Not really a plot hole, but still rather strange. As far as we know Alluka is even more powerful than the Dragon Balls.
