Where could those many petrification devices could be now? And, besides... the Moon is the destiny. But how could they deal with someone who can intercept their communications and knows about the petrification device? What could the link with the other petrification devices be? Very interesting show.

I didn't expect that they would actually go to the moon but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised considering that Senku has always wanted to go to the moon.

This little project sounds like it's going to take a ridiculously long time.

Another great episode from this arc jsut as the battle with Ibara was finally over.

Just as the celebrations were being held a new mystery from the radio signal came to fruition. Indeed, Why-man somehow replicated Senku's voice and tried to petrify the Earth in its entirety from the Moon. That's a shocking phrase without a doubt. So now the end goal is clear: go to the Moon to defeat Why-Man.

Exhilirating

This episode might've felt more relaxing, considering how tense the last few episodes have been, it still had important revelations and discoveries that'll help drive the story further on.

Slowly but surely, Senku was able to get everyone revived by the revival fluid and the repairs of the ship got underway. It's also nice that the group chose to revive Kirisame and she's settling into the group already, from seeing her having sparring match against Kohaku, to seeing her adorable expressions on her face upon seeing Kohaku hugging Senku, still believing that they were dating. XD

However, while getting their communication system working again and calling up Ruri on the mainland, they get a message from Why-Man, which not only uses Senku's voice, but the message itself refers to the whole diameter of Earth itself. Upon reviving a man who has been petrified a few hundred years prior to the present say (as well as proving to be immensely strong and made Kohaku and Kirisame weak in a comedic fashion), he did confirm about the petrification beams raining down from the sky.

With this, Senku concludes that Why-Man's location is on the Moon itself. That is a long term goal that'll be very difficult to achieve, but knowing Senku's skills and the group he has, I'm sure that objective of getting into space and landing on the moon is definitely possible.

Also, I do love the addition of colour in the ED sequence. It already looked great due to how tricky it is to make well-detailed scenes with sand, but with colour added, it looks amazing. =)

this just a guess but think why-man is just AI that got out of control, and his objective is to continually wipe out humanity. how far am I manga readers ?
@Orsted_Corp
Going by chapters there's still about 200 chapters from now before the end. Episode-wise, that's probably close to 50 episodes, so about 2 more seasons is required to end the series.

Or do you mean Why-Man's identity? If that's what you're talking about...

Kohaku returning was a great moment in this episode. Senku is back at it again trying to raise his stonks this time. Also, seeing the ED with colored sand instead of black and white was a nice touch.
@AbyssWalker21 It's not the sand that it's colored. I think it's just digital painting over a yellow lightbox

For me there is something really important when it comes to an anime or show: the mistery.

Is something that a lot of anime are lacking, DR STONE is doing a great job when it comes to that.

When Why-Man appears it always give me chills.

It never was "well-detailed scenes with sand", just a few sand scenes and the rest were normal drawings processed to look like sand. They just reduced the processing now.

One by one, Senku revived everyone back. Well, everyone except the problematic ones.

Kirisame should be loyal to the new master of the island, just like the old days.

So, Why-Man is literally on the moon. Senku finally has the excuse to realize his childhood dream. It's so crazy.

I have only one question, why? What could anyone gain from petrifying the entire earth? Is it even the same person who petrified the entire earth 3700 years ago? I highly doubt it is a person. I have a feeling it's some sort of an AI. Or a human experiment gone wrong.

@RainyShadow Is there anything that confirms that, out of curiosity? I'm only going by assumptions from what's shown on the ED sequence, so that's where I'm probably jumping to the wrong conclusions. I still like how it's done overall, although I guess I got fooled too easily into thinking my previous though.

Did they really have to revive mf Ginrou? Well, peace was good while it lasted.

That aside, I'm glad Kirisame joined the group. It would be a shame to waste such good character design ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That's why the Moon has been featured in every single opening so far, apart from the symbolism.

Also, in case people didn't notice, the ED is now in colour.

These are the episodes i like the most in Dr.Stone when they just chill after some big event, it's honestly the best thing ever to see them just be there all together.
But wow, Moon? This is indeed Dr.Stone, since i would never expect them go to this soon to space lmao, but can't wait!

It was amazing to see everyone revived and together, to know that they didn't believe in vain, but they knew that my boy Senku would take care of things.
Also, the girl that used to throw the petrification device, seems like she will be a nice addition to the team.

This show went from cool/fresh & original and not too far implausible, with step by step credible world building/re-creating "old world" tech to infantile & imbecile, way too far-fetched
from having a guy having memories from when he was just a baby to having to go to the Moon ....

From legit building surviving equipment to going to the moon💀

@RainyShadow I see. In time like these, it makes me wish that the production studio would make a video of how it was done and post it on Youtube or X/Twitter. Maybe one day, that'll happen, who knows. =)

I get that it's to keep story interesting, but going to moon seems like weird move. It'd be much easier to develop long range observation devices and nuke missiles then just remove whatever is there. At least you don't have to worry about life support and 2-way trip this way.

Woah woah so many answers given in one episode and so many more mysteries,This Matsukaze gives the vibe of a samurai or swordsman. Why-man is a vocaloid fan lmao, So there were petrification devices thrown everywhere and there could be other people who have those as well. For a moment I was so into the Evil Senku twin theory lmao.

Slowly, everyone is getting depetrified, including the Treasure Island's folks. :D

Why-Man's message was once again adapted perfectly, with preserving that menacing atmosphere coming from hearing Senkuu's voice telling a petrification device to engulf the whole planet in the petrification beam. Another episode proving that this season is a peak adaptation.

To the Moon!

By the way, I think the light filter was used more frequently in this episode, compared to the previous ones. Nice touch, given how the situation on the island has changed after defeating Ibara.

Was thinking about that too. It might even reach the moon if the center is on earth's surface.
