| Yeah, it’s safe to say that was a date, and Yamada absolutely knew what day it was but let’s not tell Ichikawa that lol. But damn what a good date it was, perhaps one of the best Christmas dates I’ve seen, Ichikawa may have deducted himself a lot of points but I’m sure in Yamada’s book he got a perfect score, tho I will say I did get secondhand embarrassment from when Yamada had to order for Ichikawa, mainly because she seemed like his mom there lol. And man I can’t believe they held hands the entire way home without at least Ichikawa bringing attention to it, and uncensored at that! These two have come such a long way from episode 1 it’s insane. And that final scene was interesting, but the imaginary manga character laying in the bed with him at the end was a funny visual lol. And I absolutely can’t believe there’s only 2 episodes left of this show, it doesn’t feel right at all. |

| Ahh, I have to wait another week now, this really relates to me, on how there are things to say and do that I should've done before regretting it all later. As Ichikawas stated, the time has been moving fast for him that day, I wouldn't want to fumble over it. But it shows that everything happens for a reason, if he hadn't experienced this at first, he might've either not or wouldn't know how to avoid it the next time. Good thing hes only 13 years old. But still though time is very limited. |

| This entire meetup was Anna's idea, from the time she "forgot" to bring the manga and it definitely felt like a date. What's funny is how mature she looks, both from her height and the way she dresses but her mind is not matured yet whereas with Kyoutaro it is kind of the opposite. Yamada to the rescue when Kyoutaro's sister showed up and shoved him into the dressing room. For some reason he didn't want her to know about them yet, probably due to embarrassment in trying to explain what they are but Anna already thinking into the future and made him promise to introduce her at a later time. Speaking of which, Anna also didn't want Kyoutaro to say Happy New Year yet presumably because she may plan on meeting him again or at least texting each other on the day of. I think Anna may be more into him than he is into her (at least that's how it looks like to me) and I'm looking forward to the remaining episodes to see how their relationship plays out. |

| Every anime season has my “pleasant surprise of the season” and this along with Mashle definitely take it for me. I was just not expecting such quality character interactions from this going in. |

| Not so mindblowing episode. Its just your classical dating situation for our main. I feel you, Ichikawa. Its so hard having a good time with those pretty tall model, right? His monologue manage to still stay on point. Good good. Then, holy moly, Yamada, way too adorable this time. Especially with the, ho ho ho, Yamada Santa. So fucking cute! No wonder Ichikawa can't let the memories go and even being haunted by the character he red because of its so damn good memories. The next will be the end of year event, visiting shrine, yada-yada something else, and might be leading into the big event for them: confessing time! Let's see... |

| It is a damn shame this show only lasts 2 minutes. Nor does it help how much I look forward to watching the next episode. But again, they pack so many beautiful scenes every week. I thought the hand holding scene in blue was interesting. I figure maybe a light blue or sky blue could set the mood better, but eh. The implications they portray by showing and not telling are always masterfully done. I still get a chuckle from the commentary the librarian gives on how things made clear are better said than done. Or something along those lines. (Ep.6 "Sometimes people don't realize the obvious until we write it out for them."- Library-san ) Anyway kinda sad they couldn't fit in the dressing room text msg from the manga. Aside from that, the walking home scene of the mc holding hands was too cute. Also, a woman who picks the restaurant and knows what she wants to eat off the menu? I thought I died and went to heaven. All in all, I think last week's episode was the pinnacle of the show. WIth two episodes left now. There is so much to cover in an hour that this anime hopefully gets a second season. But at least all good things must come to an end. edit +50 points for Yamada Santa* |

I was sure I'd responded to this but hey whatever. I'll go into a little more detail. Of course mansplaining fits, not because he was mansplaining but because that entirely fits Kyoutarou's mindset, he is so insecure in himself that he too often thinks the worst of Anna and even though the original script would be unlikely to use such an anglicised term it is entirely in keeping with all the other events where he's deducting points even though he has done nothing wrong. Not saying I think mansplaining is a great choice, but it certainly isn't something to get get all self righteously abusive about. |
