This show sucked ass! I have no clue how this is still in the 7 range. It's all the raging boner light novel readers arbitrarily giving it a high rating even tho it was boring, random, not funny, and just plain shoot your self in the head bad.
I just had a birthday and when my friend said what did you wish for as I blew my candles out I said.....that this donkey spunk of a show get to a 5 on MAL.
Great sage weak Crest, Leadale and Wiseman Pupil are the worst anime this season all get a 3 and I'm being generous.
There were definitely issues with the show, but overall I didn’t mind it. I feel as though it didn’t pretend to be anything other than it was and it went with the whole overpowered MC trope. Although if it were more realistic the kid that was adopted would 100% have PTSD and emotional issues. It’s like she totally forgot about her life before her current situation.
Other isekai seem to try to make it look like the overpowered MC has actual struggles and battles when really they don’t. Or they make it gross like someone being reincarnated as a kid and then falling in love with another kid (it’s literally pedophilia, regardless of what excuses they may give). So I’m glad it was more slice of life in this one rather than romance.
I definitely feel bad for Cayna’s kids though with how she treated them vs how she is treating her new kid. Although it does kind of make sense since when she entered Leadale the others were grown up (and she still remembers them as NPCs from the game) and this is kind of like starting more from scratch.
Overall I rated it a 5. It was okay, and if another season came out I would probably watch it.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?
This anime isn't so bad for a change of pace. It was really relaxing to watch from start till the end. I hope we get season 2 someday. I really enjoyed it, and cayna's new daughter is dang kawaii.
It makes me teary-eyed when Luka finally said mother to Cayna. She finally get a new and better life. She's such a nice girl. Even became a mediator to stop Cie and Rox from fighting.
Its a decent slice-of-life isekai show that you can just sit back and relax. There's little to no conflict. Seeing Cayna from having a sad bedridden life to becoming a OP High elf that she can do pretty what she wants is nice.
Not much to say, good episode and nice ending. Don't feel like we will get another season.
This was a very wholesome anime and there wasn't too much plot in this anime but enjoyed it nonetheless so overall I'm gonna rate this anime 8/10 solely due to the wholesome, cute moments and banger of an ED.
The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.
"Fake it until you (fail to) make it", the animation.
This show is basically a succession of random stuff happening in order to desperately try to hide how lacking the author is. Because, this author is unable to write good character or any good scene.
As a result, you get random stuff happening : Meeting her three kids, a prince, meeting her grandson, meeting a princess, meeting brigand, meeting a new player, meeting a boss event, meeting a fairy, meeting a siren, meeting two other player, meeting two cat servant, meeting zombie, meeting two other players, meeting a girl who is going to be her adopted daughter...
But, 99% of this stuff has no impact whatsoever. The author is unable to write a serious situation. Killing people is dealt with in one second. Meeting new player has no effect on the plot. Adopting a girl... and two episode later, they still didn't have a proper discussion.
The author is unable to have a clear picture for his overpowered main character who can do anything (the main character is either a psycho or too nice) and she's never wrong or needing to improve. The humor is non-existent (hahahaha she's drunk, lol, hahaha let's do it ten time in a row), the design has nothing outstanding, OST are bland... and the last episode is useless. Fight have nothing going for them...
The biggest mystery is why this title got an anime adaptation.
5/10.
The scene towards the end with Luka calling Cayna okasan was directed perfectly. It was heartwarming and a nice goodbye to the show, nearly shed a tear too. Overall though, I felt that the show had little to offer in terms of a plot, yet didn't feel like a proper slice of life either. It was kinda confused about what it wanted to be. Limited enjoyment from this one, but relaxing enough to go through. The art is also easy on the eyes. Would be ok with a season 2 but not expecting it.
I had a lot of fun with this series and I thought it was super cute and fun, I will for sure put the manga on my must-read list for later, I am interested in seeing what was cut since a lot of things usually are for these series.

It's an adaptation of a web/light novel, not a manga.
I enjoyed the first ep or two but it got worse after seeing how mean Cayna is lol and her meeting a bunch of random characters that we don't see again...
I like how this little shit Luka already started to bullying those two fucking slaves into submission.
I can't imagine what bitch she'll grow up with such crazy, cruel mother.
Nothing too special, just a (mostly) lighthearted isekai with some goofy moments like the Cayna's family thing and Cayna's alcoholic habits of partying in the village every time.
I feel this anime is solid but unimpressive.
It has pretty good quality and it connects the story to the viewers.
It does a nice job of presenting the world of Leadale but doesn't go much further.
Although this could be seen as a bad thing, we have not been informed whether it was a game-world-made-real or a parallel-world-where-players-made-avatars. In the more-likely earlier case, the world would've been pre-defined by code so a lackluster story is all-but expected as the inhabitants would be AI-turned-human.
The story of Cayna has direction (towers, exploration, enjoyment) and doesn't veer far from it even when presenting world-threatening situations (Event Monster). Because of Cayna's high level, the battles were expected to be subpar so there should be no shock with that.
With all that said, it's a fine anime but quite lackluster.
If you're looking for a cute story, this is a reasonable choice. Otherwise, you should probably skip this one.
The comment from @Collins89 asking why it's floating at a 7 rating could be valid but there's 3 caveats he should keep in mind.
People rarely vote something lower than a 5, and when they do, it's often caused by their personal dissatisfaction and not a poorly-made anime.
That is to say, it's the Rater's fault for poor grading.
Another part is that there's no generalization as to "what is worth a # rating?".
MAL shows FMA:B at 9.3 and/so some might say "it has to be as good as FMA:B to earn a 9." Personally, I don't think it deserves to be over 8.4 (eccentrics could push me to accept 8.6). Even if someone wanted to argue it deserves a 9, those who voted less would've killed the score so an exceptionally LARGE number of people had to have rated it a 10. Do you see where this line of thinking leads?
Furthermore, looking at the Interspecies Reviewers (IR) rating that had raters, people asking others to rate it (rather than just updating their progress for the series), moderators abusing their site privileges, alt accounts, and bots going into it (varying both for and against it with some overlap), it's not hard to see the writing on the wall for the ratings on MAL (especially with the moderator privileges).
That's not even counting the question; do you really expect people to put their brains to use and do an in-depth evaluation of the any/all series (watching it 3+ times in some cases) before giving it a rating that had a complex thought process behind it?
People use sites like MAL to keep track of their progress and converse with others, not to give a law-defining rating of a series. Because they don't use it for rating purposes, MAL is a bad place to check ratings if you're asking yourself if you want to watch a series. Luckily, there's plenty of Reviews on MAL that are more helpful since they're either obviously someones opinion from watching the series (maybe once) or someones in-depth evaluation about the series (story, characters, progression, animation, sound, background, etc.).
There's nothing wrong with the series to make people dislike it. The animation, characters, developments, story, and everything else looks solid. This translates to people having no reason to vote it lower (apart from taking their time to watch something).
Going a step further, because it's solid, they don't feel like their time was wasted. At most, they would feel "If I knew it was like this, I wouldn't have watched it." and move on.

I liked your ideas about why its still that high of a rating, big ups for the writings!
Yeah I'm glad too see since I last visited here the score has dropped below zero so my sould is happier seeing it's not at like 7.3 or whatever it was.
But yeah good points, always like seeing diff ideas and points.
Very chill ending to a pretty good slice of life isekai. It was nice to see Cayna just hanging out with the two girls (they’re too cute!). The little fairy is pretty adorable too! I hope they renew this for another season. I really dig these super chill isekai like Slime 300. Well, in the meantime April is coming up and there’s like about a million shows that are premiering soon, so those will keep me busy for sure.
This was disappointing.
It was a good sol anime, but these type of shows need some further plot development beyond episode 6-8 or it'll just be tiring.
Like the "I was in a hospital for years and then randomly died while the only thing I could do was play a video game" thing was not touched on enough. That would have been a great way to break up the excessive wholesomeness...
This anime was great, it really hit the spot for some reason. I hope this would have a 2nd season, but knowing Maho Film, there are very few chances for that to happen (unfortunately T.T), but hope is still free to have, so I will have it anyway.
I would give it a 9/10 but it felt too rushed sometimes, this should probably be a good show for 14 - 16 eps, but ey! there are only those few days per season xD So I will give it a well-deserved 8/10.
I really feel that we need more shows like this one.
For the ones that like to bother others (like me) with "you should read the manga/LN", please stop. I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations.
This has some of the best world building I've seen in a fantasy isekai. By the end you have a very strong sense of the different locations, what's going on where, and who's where. Not just that, you actually care about what's happening to the people there, rather that think of them as just extras walking around to fill up the background.
Unfortunately that strong setting is paired with a weak episodic format. Even the episode names reflect this - they're just 4 things which happen in the episode, as if it were adopted from a 4-koma. The episodes focus mainly on introducing characters, rather than actually using them to build up any real overreaching plot. Character are escorted out almost as quickly as they're introduced.
This would be ok if it were a 24 or 52 episode anime. Play around with all those memorable characters in the beautiful setting that's been built, like most sitcoms or soap operas do. But trying to make it stand on its own with just 12 episodes, it's pretty weak. It's kinda like if you just read the first few chapters of The Hobbit or LotR where everyone and the fantastic locations are introduced. Then it just ends. You feel like there's a huge amount of potential there, but very little of it is realized.
I've rewatched this just because I like the setting so much. If this were a real game, I'd very much like to play in it. But if the setting doesn't do anything for you, you're going to be bored and disappointed.
Cute and entertaining but not really much substance. Initial goals was the find her other guild mates, the towers and other players. When it does happen it's always done nonchalantly. The gimmick with her having children and grand children was nice but they didn't do much with it as with most characters they meet.
so Cayna really forgot the demon player.. I feel bad for him though, he's just a child trapped in a demon body, what's more Cayna didn't really tried to befriend him, but trying to kill him instead.
Damn.. when Luka called Cayna mommy that just melted me. Our girl Cayna found happiness she never found in the hospital in her previous life. This is wholesome til the very end..
