Himoto House. It needed only two minutes to put me completely off. It was painful to watch. If we are talking about the near past then in the previous season I dropped Deep Insanity: The Lost Child after eight or ten minutes. You don't need more to realise that something is not for you. |

However, sometimes something is so offensive and clearly not our taste that it really just MUST be dropped earlier. This could be a seasonal you didn't know you were getting into, or a show that just looked awful, or really anything For me personally, it wasn't so much offensive as it was just something I really went into blind and wasn't interested in. I generally have a rule that I don't watch shows about middle school environments, as I feel they aren't very accurate to how middle schoolers actually behave. So when Love Lab (which I was watching because of a meme) had a text box saying they were enrolled in a middle school in the first minute in I was like "ah helll nahhh". I then checked out the synopsis and it just didn't seem like anything I would enjoy at all. Anyways, what's your fastest drop? And also, how come?? Cause there has to be a reason. (and please, nobody saying "you should never drop" in the comments, cause if you do, go watch Ex-Arm) A - Can you source that "generally we as a community follow the 3-episode rule?" You'll actually find that barely anyone endorses or follows such a "rule." B - What the fuck were you thinking, watching a show without reading the synopsis? Are you seriously saying you have so little taste that you watch any random bull you get thrust toward you? |

Umaru-chan. I got absolutely everything one could possibly get out of that show in one episode. there's simply no need to watch more. I fundamentally do not understand people that enjoy that show, and I try not to judge people for liking media. but. If you love Umaru-chan you're a bad person I don't want anything to do with. I'm not kidding, and I'm right about this. |

Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ... was my fastest drop, I dropped it after about 14 mins of 1st episode when I saw he used his strongest spells that could annihilate kingdoms to single lowbie slime... I really hate parodies of fantasy so it was enough for me to drop it immediately (wonder why it doesn't have parody genre because I would avoid it). |

I think Elfen Lied was the most clear episode 1 drop I've had so far. Starts out interesting with some nice gore and then reveals one of those stereotypical wimp loser protagonists that never seem to have interacted with a girl in the real world before. It's just so absurdly cringe, I had to drop it from how ashamed I felt seeing what a loser the MC was. Especially after having watched EVA shortly before, I've really had my fill with pathetic loser protagonists. |

I do follow the 3 episode rule at the very least and I only dropped One Piece around episode 600 for along time until I watched Mushoku Tensei which I dropped around episode 4 and Fire Force which I dropped around episode 7. Fire Force was awesome but way too much fan service to the point that it devalued some key moments in the anime. Fire Force would be so much better without fan service or have it toned down a lot. As for Mushoku Tensei I despise Rudeus as a character and that's it he's a terrible character and I wish he was never in Mushoku Tensei. |

Less than an episode. 2 reasons: 1. Can't stand it. The art style, narration, characters. It was just alt+f4 -> MAL -> dropped. Took ~3 min. Devilman: Crybaby Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Mononoke 2. Eyebleeding animation. I don't know how greedy and blind a man must be to create and release these. For me it's an Ex-arm\Berserk (2016) level. Dorohedoro Sidonia no Kishi |
