I enjoyed everything except the main girl showing up to the scene of conflict when it's damn near over, standing there in the way of danger like an idiot, and then playing peacemaker.

Get the hell out of here with that "family shouldn't hurt family" type nonsense.

Well, wasn't expecting any less from Trigger. Quite entertaining first episode. Really liking the aesthetics and color palette so far.

As for the story, it seems superficial at first glance but we'll see how it unfolds. By the way, MC girl reminds me of Akko but hopefully, less annoying.

It's pretty good so far! It kinda has some Dorohedoro vibes going on, with the "humans vs other intelligent being similar to humans but that they don't get along with each other".

It's very obvious that it's an anime about racism, and while racism as a plot is not a bad thing, I just hope the anime doesn't come off as too preachy, trying to connect the anime to reality, trying to seem all "deep" and "woke", ect.

My jaw dropped, hit the floor, and stayed there for the entirety of the action scene at the end. And I was already completely engrossed in it before that because it did such a good job expressing the main tanuki girl's emotions through her body language shift from closed to open as she experienced the animal city for the first time.

Beautiful use of shadows. GORGEOUS use of lighting and staging! Beautiful use of good dynamic animation techniques like squash-and-stretch, smear frames, and follow-through to emphasize the action and add a bit of extra visual humor.

This first episode was SO GOOD! I don't have enough superlatives to praise just how good the lighting, direction, character animation, atmosphere, mood, and just the sheer bombast of explosive action this first episode had.

One of the best first episodes of an anime I've ever seen. Bravo, Trigger!

Very interesting premise and I really like the concept. While this concept is pretty commonly used in various animes but depending on how things develop from here this might turn out great. Thou the female lead looks like she'll be one of those irritating naive brats.

As expected from Trigger, a really solid start. Unfortunately, since this is Trigger, I can already see the final couple of episodes becoming a convoluted mess (with aliens included possibly).

Huh.. that was okay I guess. Some pretty weird stuff. The acts of violence for the sake of racism are pretty fucking extreme.

Not sure what the director was thinking with her entrance to the city scene. That was the epitome of nonsensical trigger things, but not in a good way. It just left me going wtf?

But okay we got a festival that both was held entirely for her arrival and spontaneously plane shifted into space. Then there is this extremely random and over the top fight between a crazy wolf and some terrorists. I mean it looked pretty cool I guess, but I was still recoiling from the festival entrance so idk how to feel rn.

I'm no furry, but Michiru's looks and her casual outfit brings out the cuteness and sexiness out of her. =)

With that said, this was a pretty solid first episode. The pacing was pretty solid, although a bit fast at times, but the visuals and animation was really good, as expected from Trigger.

The whole premise itself is also interesting as well, so I expect cases like racism and discrimination being used a bit in future episodes as well, I'm presuming. If it tackles those topics effectively, then BNA could be one of the stronger anime shows this Spring season. Onto the next episode I go!

The first episode was very impressive, Studio Trigger definitely shines by their animation, its always fluid, detailed and cartoonish. As other comments said, racism and politics are gonna be a topic here, this show reminds me of Zootopia or Sing, animated movies. By now, the show established that there’re humans and beastmens, but a human transformed into a beastmen is itself strange.

Actually yes it is an opinion, the way you word it doesn't change it. I watched the first episode and thought it was shit. My opinion doesn't mean anything, it's a biased judgment based on my personal preferences. Sorry you're apparently too stupid to know what the definition of the word is.

You can't just come into a forum and say "this garbage is shit" without any repercussions of people challenging your opinion on to why you think that.

Maybe you could have at the very least came up with a excuse as to why this anime pissed you off such as: not liking a anime that revolves around racism, hating furries, or believe that the world setting is unrealistic as the main character went from being a runaway school girl to a police helper in a span of 24 hours in anime time despite being a total stranger.

Granted people will probably make fun of your opinion but at the very least they will not call you a simple troll.

But nope, you went with "studio trigger bad" and slapped a score of a 1 on it and expected people to believe you at your word with no questions needing to be asked.

Then when people criticize your opinion, you don't do anything to justify your opinion by changing the subject to the likes of: "its just my opinion. stop taking me so seriously" and "stop bitching about my opinion".

Subjectively speaking, a score of a 1 should only be given to animes that are so dreadfully boring and dull that you couldn't even finish the first episode let alone the whole series. A broken mess of a anime that is incomprehensible to watch that you dropped it because the anime is broken on a technical level but in a way that it is not even entertaining to watch. Or if the anime did something that ticks you off on a personal level that you hate watching every second of it which I feel is what you are expressing but are not explaining as to why that is.

That said. Explain why you hate this anime instead of complaining about people who are complaining about your opinion.

damn this is how you should roast a nonsensical opinion of some numbskulls who have lost a number of screws of their brain.
That dude was literally SILENCED.

Michiru's defense of the contract terrorists is bizarre. Regardless of her attachments to her human past, these three are literally criminals who tried to kill people. She is protecting them despite knowing they bombed the festival? How is "not all humans" even an argument when it comes to this situation, where without a doubt certain humans really did hire these killers? Yeah not all humans, but these humans and these beastmen in particular are the issue! Wack.

But other than the protagonist's over-dramatic naivete, I enjoyed this first episode.

Gosh! I did not expect such a funny start and with such a tight rhythm, the action seen in the second part of the narration was really excellent. From the creators of LWA I had hypothesized a more conforming anime, but having discovered that this is not the case, I was not disappointed, but shocked in a positive way given the narrative cut so serious and almost dramatic in certain situations, I promote it without if and without but although history is not very original as a theme. Excellent drawings and animations are to scream as expected from the Trigger. Reference to "Inferno Cop" on the giant screen? Who knows!

Japan once again trying to turn people into furries... as if that's gonna work.
...the main character is kinda cute, though.
In all seriousness I enjoyed this first episode quite a bit. You can never know when it comes to Trigger but I feel like this has a lot of potential. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't screw this up. :D
However, it does kind of suck how they immediately released 6 episodes. I'm guessing we won't be getting any more for over a month, right?

I would love to live in Anima City, they celebrate festivals by watching Inferno Cop on a big screen!

Fluid and vivid animation as expected of Trigger. The world aesthetic is gorgeous and soothing. Facial expressions were on point. Loved the ED aswell.
By both the opening and scene with the mayor of the city it seems like depeding on the light they can change from human to beastman, but it seems like out female protagonist was originally just a human until something happened. The wolfman fighting scene so so so well animimated in terms of choreography (he ended the deerman whole carrer like that lol, and survived a explosion like a badass), "you dont mess with the festival yo". It seems the story will tackle prejudice from both sides (humans and beastman) and our protagonist will be the inbetween..... speaking of protagonist SHE IS SO DAMN CUTE!! Her Tanuki power it seems to give her the ability to make her tail get big.
We need more Goat-ojisama too!! XD that scene was hilarious.

The society is practically Beastars but unlike carnivore vs. herbivore, it is human vs anthropomorphic animals. For some reason, it looks more a reverse situation of Somali to Mori no Kamisama where Beastman are a minority instead of a majority and obviously removing the fantasy genre.

I hope that the world building is explored because it is quite poor. I still have many questions, if Michiru was human why did her parents do nothing? It can be seen that she also had friends, what happened to that?

Nice to seeing some of Trigger show again since i just came by here because of the last watch of the Promare movie. As expected, very nice art and well performed animation for the action scenes and battling. Not much say for the storyline here tho. I need more episode to analyze what is going on. However, on its first episode, i must say this is amazing.

I'll admit, there were things I both liked and disliked about this episode.

Likes:
solid style.
beautiful colours.
diverse cast (somewhat)

Dislikes:
What was that thing with the girls tail? is there any explanation about that? seemed quite out of place. Perhaps we'll learn about it later.
Pacing.
Some of the animation.
Angsty bit with the wolf. Looked cool, but was a bit...much per se? Reminded me of fights from fanfiction lmao

Anyways personally it was an OK first episode, not too bad
