| Why would they make an *energy* sword a type of revolver when they have energy weapons? If they would actually have "physical" swords, he would buy one and rule the battlefield instantly (though he probably will do so anyways). I also don't see a problem with him being able to beat that gambling game. It's basically the same situation he had a hundred, if not a thousand times in SAO (and ALO), where it was not a matter of beating that monster or the dungeon, but his life hang on it. And he always had good reflexes, even when he first started SAO. Having kept the stats makes it perfectly fine for the *character* to be able to do it, and two years of constantly having to fight for his life makes it perfectly fine for the *player* to be able to do it. He could probably do it when facing a robber standing in his bedroom in the middle of the night, because his body would follow his thoughts. Given that it's also based on SAO, many basic systems will be the same. Given that it's a full dive system and not controlled by mouse/keyboard, and you initiate actions by thinking, the controls are basically the same also. Even today there is often a clear difference between someone who plays a lot of games, and someone who only plays a few when it comes to learning a new game. If you so to say have "seen it all", you will more easily adapt to a new system. Just press a different button or adjust timing a bit. Until reality is perfectly recreated, when really only your real life skills count (Which SAO etc. isn't yet as explained by Kirito), having experience with other games should help a lot. It's not WoW vs CS, but CS vs CoD, heck, maybe even CS vs CSS or CS:GO. Anyways, nice episode. Shino was cute, Kirito, despite (or because of) being a trap, too. |

Maybe because the energy weapons are based on real guns, and use real gun ammo and not a made up type of energy ammo. Basically you feed the guns regular ammo and they use it as a type of battery to power energy blasts. |

I don't even get why people waste their time trying to give you a good explanation, everything that has been said was legit and part of the story, if you're looking for a realism you are wrong to even be here. |
| This is such a great episode! I have too much laugh watching this. Kirito is badass in this episode. He gets a panic attack when he sees himself as a female character. That moment is priceless. While talking to the random guy, he touches his chest to find if... you know, then he's relieved that he doesn't have it. Then he meets Sinon and begins to pretend he's a girl in a cutesy way. I was laughing too hard at the Gambling Game NPC'S English. Then Sinon explains the mechanics of the game, and as expected, Kirito challanges the game. The other players think he's a noob player. But all of them, are open-mouthed at Kirito's badass moves while playing the gambling game. Then he wins and gets a lot of money. Then Sinon is amazed at how good he is. Since he gets some money, he buys the photon sword (we get the "Star Wars" vibe here) because he's obsessed with swords since the SAO game. And Sinon is kinda confused but she praises his skill in sword. That awkward moment when he puts the sword in his back then they both react... Oh and then he also buys 5.7mm FN Five Seven Handgun, as she suggests it. Then they go to the practice area. Since it's his first time to handle and shoot the gun, of course he misses. Then later on, when they're at outside, Sinon realizes they're going to be late in BoB event. Since he's good in riding the motorcycle, he grabs her hand then they ride on a buggy motorcycle and he drives it. She wonders how he's good in driving it since the motor they're riding is not easy to drive. Kirito, you're really badass dude. And lastly, is it just me, or I've seen many times the word "paied" (a misspelling) every time he(and the other guy) put his hand on a pad? Who has seen it besides me? I can't wait for the next episode. And the "Ignite" song is one of my favorite opening songs in anime. I can't stop listening to it. <3 |

| Now time for thoughts on this! 4/5 Enjoyable, entertaining Heck it isn´t the uber stuff critics like but it doesn´t have to be (I doubt all of us would actually read and like The broken woman of Simone de Beauvoir) Seems Kawahara is getting better at writting comparing it to the first SAO (and that A1 is learning to adapt the LN´s) That trap Kirito was so frigging funny, and scaringly cute Oh fuck! what´s going on with me? And now we´ve got explanation on stuff! Great They´ve already explained why Kirito can dodge bullets here on the forum so I wont talk about it Though he just zigzaggs, he´s got practice in that dodging shit, and he imported his stats Now let´s talk about swords Practice made him good at swords, that´s why he got one on first place He can use some skills ("muscular" memory) Then we come to find that he is shitty at shooting He should´ve gotten a shotgun, if it is like most FPS and or TPS the shotgun would be better than his handgun, and would be easier to hit a target as long as he uses buckshots and or birdshots, maybe even AP flechettes (If I recall well US army at some point experimented with flechettes packed in shotgun shells) But well, he got the FN FiveSeven, armor piercing rounds! As long as you are less than 50 meters from your target (though it seems most of them aren´t long rangers) an if he cuts bullets he could get to the enemy and slash it. Wowowow You remember that G36 on a wall? I think it would´ve looked good on Kirito, it isn´t that heavy, and 5.56 recoil isn´t that much, besides, rifles are easier than handguns to shoot and master Or a revolver... Those guns are OP, they can fire heavier bullets than your average handgun, and a .500 S&W would certainly cause more damage than that small 5.7mm round, though I have some doubts about its AP power, maybe in gahem they have S&W ap rounds, hope they have them. And we´ve got some gun porn! :D Such a shame Sinon didn´t explain the M16 story, I would´ve loved it. Well I won´t get over the Kiritrap :v Ok I will. |

| Finally! An episode I like, I'm still waiting for the show to really begin. Maybe 2 more eps and they will pick up the pace. |

I sense "YANDERE Asuna getting jealous xD Trap Kirito pawns that robot xD Sinon's encounter with Kirito was great. IMO, natural couple. Sinon was sure having fun at the end when Kirito was driving the motorcycle, since he actually drives one in real life. |

| Well, I came back to check on the discussion, and here's what I think: I'm still upset at the people criticizing Kirito's "overpowered" and "perfect" abilities which are irrefutably disproved when Kirito fails at shooting. I'm still upset at the people criticizing Kirito's dodging which is explained in the episode and has been explained continuously in these forums. I'm still upset at "paied," and I seriously hope it wasn't misspelled and that it means something else, which is probably not the case. |

| Everything about this season is so good. I wasn't expecting it to be good with the disappointment I felt from ALO but GGO is turning out to be amazing. I loved the scene where Kirito's inner self is cringing so much at having to act like a girl. I loved Kirito's bad-ass debut into GGO by winning the mini-game. I was a little disappointed at first that his character in-game wasn't female but I quickly got over that. I think complaining about GGO because of Kirito's apparently OP-ness makes no sense ( after reading through some posts ). The very role that Kirito plays is being unstoppable. Where along the journey through SAO, ALO and now GGO did you suddenly expect Kirito to start failing? He doesn't fail. That's the point. Fair enough when trying to get through the deliberately impossible end fight in ALO he needed help but that was just to emphasise the value of teamwork etc and should be ignored. Another key point to explain his skill after just joining is the obvious fact that his strength and agility stats would've been built pretty high after spending so long in previous games. His build is literally designed to dodge things and maneuver quickly. - Just my addition because seeing people complain upsets me too. |

| This episode was easily the best one of the season so far. Not sure why Kirito resembles a girl but I guess if you look closely, he does look like a guy. But anyway, everything about this episode was good. When he played that game where he had to dodge the bullets was cool. Seeing all the weapons that were available in the game was cool too. Wish we actually saw his stats though and see an update with Death Gun. |

| Bad episode, as usual. An entire episode spent getting a weapon and showing off how sugoi and overpowered Kirito is. I find it funny how literally EVERYONE IN EXISTENCE wants his dick. From every girl in a 100 mile radius, to the hospital nurse, to a bunch of random guys in a game because of his effeminate avatar. It's getting tiring. We get it, he's a perfect Gary Stu, can you stop shoving it in our face? First season moved way too fast, now this is moving way too slow. A1 Pictures really suck at pacing their shows. |
