| Pretty cute romantic one-off. Nice change of pace after that arc. I was surprised Sousuke kissed that girl without a second though, but given his background shouldn't have been. Kaname wears her feelings on her sleeves pretty hard, even subconsciously puckering up for a kiss by the end. Not that he'd notice, she barely did. One day perhaps. |

| Absolute hilarious episode. For Sousuke who doesn't have any clue about these things it must be so confusing :D It's cute how jealous Kaname is because of other girls. Especially when Mizuki and Sousuke were practising and when Sousuke kissed Mizuki. It's crazy how few he knows about relatively normal things. I hope at one point Kaname can express her feelings for him :) But it was really funny, I had a lot of laughs. Seems like the next episode will also be funny :D |

| At every rewatch this is one of the most anticipated episodes, and every time it becomes funnier and funnier, arguably the best of the entire season 1 at least not counting the action-focused arcs. Satoru Shirai barely introduced himself and he's already held at gunpoint. "Neither you or your family will be spared" LOL. Also, what kind of torture was he receiving in the restroom? Mizuki is easily the least favorite character this time, so many people speak ill of Chidori often but even if Shirai is bad, ordering all that take-away food at his own expense is petty, mean-spirited and a disproportionate retribution. Also, respect for Chidori herself that at least struggled with just the idea of entering a boys bathroom, showing no double standards. The dating sim part... Damn. "NO! YOU CAN'T INTERRUPT NEGOTIATIONS!" jesus christ, i laugh hard every time to a point of hurting my body. "Where is everyone else?" "i'm sure they disowned you". Once again, Sagara still stalks Chidori with a literal paper-thin disguise and the newspaper has also a cut-out article. The act he has to pull off to "save" Mizuki's reunion with the color-coded friends. They went to a karaoke? Too bad it was just a mute slide. Oh, well, yelling out loud in the cinema pointing out war-focused inaccuracies more than made up for it. "my former war comrad... i mean... junior high class representative..." "i've been defeated by a dating sim game" "flirting with girls gives me a big amount of unimaginable happiness" ALL OF THIS TOLD WITH THAT STRAIGHT FACE... HI-LA-RI-OUS. Obviously, the masquerade fails, but Sagara still ends it all going out with a bang (even if Mizuki isn't the nicest girl). Poor Kaname, whatever happens she thought to have chances to become the person of his first kiss, but now... No, wait, he already did it before in his work, and it makes sense too. Masterpiece, a needed one before the second serious arc. Ummm, does anyone else get the feeling that the A-Team was going to show up? The background theme is very similar to the A-Team theme (or am I just showing my age here?). Yeah. |
