...and I thought it was only 1 cradle egg!
Wazukyan's feeling and emotion 🤯🤯🤯

They finally told us the origin of the village, I wasn't expecting it was Irumyuui herself.

OST used in this episode hits like a truck, overwhelming feeling.

Can't wait for the next one.
Why do we have to live in such a cruel world?

As an anime only I wasn't really sure what I was expecting going into season 2. But damn it's dark, well-thought out and filled with emotion. There is still a few things I need to look over to truly understand the details but ending scene with this episode with vueko saying she just wants to remember and the ending kicking in.... Damn.

I have a hard time understanding the shock of eating the "babies". They looked more like animals that would die in a day anyway while eating them would save the people. I can understand Irumyuui's anger, but Belaf's reaction seems out of place. I could understand Vueko having that reaction but not Belaf. Wazukyan did actually do the most humane thing.

I actually thought they were eating Irumyuui, which would be disturbing.

BTW, the eggs look like the Madoka magika soul crystals which seem to be the reference.

Belaf's reaction is not out of place because there're multiple scenes showing him observing Inmyuu .
He knew her wishes of having babies so ofc he feels guilty.
And ofc he's the only one along along with Eluko that felt guilty about doing so cuz they're the only ppl that know Inmyuu's wishes and what they actually eat.

Personally speaking this went past "so weird its good" straight to .. torture porn?

I have never seen anything like this. I had the biggest "WTF" on my face for 24 minutes straight

Damn the 2nd part of the backstory is still trauma worthy but interesting as a whole to understand the situation, I understand Belaf's reaction to how mentally broken he was, same for Vueko's suicide attempt and it feels like it would have been better for her and for the situation overall if she managed to do it sadly, but that last part really shows how harsh it was for her during the whole way :/ Now it's up to how things with Faputa will turn out.

She isn't a kid. Look at Liz the Annihilator (Riko's mom) as an exanple, she also has a childish face.

In fact, 90% of the cast is drawn in this way, yet half of them are adults. The rest of adults such as Bondrewd are drawn as titans, and are hung lo'.

Finally the full backstory. That was a incredible episode with the dark atmosphere, music and the voice acting was on point. Belaf in pain hurt my heart.

Wazukyan decision is kinda understandable if you see as a survival way, but is still insane.

I see your point, and I understand the author makes a big deal out of it. But survival takes priority over someone wanting to have babies. Might have to do with women wanting to have kids, which is not something I understand as a gay male.

MASTERPIECE episode after MASTERPIECE episode in a MASTERPIECE serie.

Sosu.

I liked Belaf's performance....
Feeling so guilty because he survived at the expense of Iru's babies...
Despite these will die after 1 day... those were still lives...
And that is Humanity.

That same Humanity he wanted to get rip off so badly after his acts.

---

First we thought Bondrewd was the enemy, then just an antagonist...
And now we think that about Wazykuan too...

But, both of them are really that?... keep watching/reading...

Congrats, you've seen the Hard Times of the Serie..... Now, just the WORST Times are left.

The despair these people felt is something they did a really good job of show-casing. Things are also a bit clearer now, and by clear, I mean a better idea of exactly how f-ed the village is, or can be.

Wow what an episode. Still digesting(no pun intended)

I find it truly disgusting what happened to Irumyuui, she was just a child herself and her whole identity became about being childless and having one became her wish and dream. Poor thing never even got to experience childhood herself. What a life of suffering and sadness. This is just truly disturbing on another level. It is trauma porn IMO because its so akin to real life. And her form was just plain weird. But the whole episode was fucked up so who knows.

Yay for no in ur face sexual weirdness like last episode, ugh.

So lastly, I'm gonna ask, now where the hell is Reg from!?!?

Reg: Hey Faputa, can you lend me a hand

Faputa: rips off arm Sure!

Bruh lol tf?

Human Belaf is a lot less cold than the Hollow version. I don’t blame the dude suffering a mental breakdown after what Wazukyan’s been feeding everyone. He tried to starve himself to death but they kept sustaining him with the stew. And he couldn’t resist despite knowing it’s wrong. No wonder his mind broke.

Oh and what’s happened to our poor Irumyuui? She’s become a horrendous monstrous mess, but with juuust enough of her mental faculties intact to feel the grief of seeing her “children” ripped from her arms. Awesome. Does Vueko want to try cooking Irumyuui’s kids, Wazukyan? Seriously? Get fucked, dude.

Seeing Vueko wrestle with the guilt as Irumyuui embraces her… geez. Wazukyan really treating Irumyuui like a science project and shoving another Cradle in her is beyond fucked. Oh and we got Ganja exploding like popped balloons. Swell.

Irumyuui is massive now. And what’s this? Belaf sacrificing himself? Yeah. I think at this point I would too. The rest of the Ganja have broken. This is how they become Hollows I see. But not Vueko. Our girl wanted to end this hellish existence for her and Irumyuui, but no. That fuck Wazukyan won’t let her. Selfish prick, fuck your prophecy. In the end she’s trapped with the babies (black tentacles) that were never born, deep within Irumyuui’s head as Irumyuui becomes the actual village.

But, I suppose Irumyuui’s final wish came true: She birthed a living “kid”, Faputa. And the girl is out for blood! Fuck you Ganja Hollows! I’m with Faputa. Destroy this village.

That's right, folks. We have been seeing Irumyuui this whole time, given that she's indeed the whole fucking village. Easily, the most fucked up revelation Made in Abyss has offered so far.

So well. That's it for Iruburu and Faputa's origins. Now we are ready for the climax of this arc, also called: "Faputa going absolutely mental with whoever she crosses paths with while featuring the angriest face expressions ever drawn by man".

The previous episode was really good but wow, this episode is just as awesome as the previous one or even better, I really enjoyed these last 2 episodes. I was shitting on this season a lot in my comments and had it rated a 6/10 but these last 2 episodes really impressed me so now I have this season rated at 8/10.

These last 2 episodes are the best episodes of the entire anime IMHO and the OST in this episode is fantastic!

And damn, that poor Irumyuui, I thought she was reborn as Faputa or something but nope, Irumyuui is just like a tree now, something that lives but can't communicate nor interact with anyone anymore, she doesn't have agency, and damn, Faputa is actually her last child that she made in secret.

Man, I really loved these last 2 episodes.

I'd hate to be inside the head of the author of MIA.. easily one of the best animes of the year, possibly ever. But the misery in this season.. ughh. to be able to put this into a story must be some kind of reflection of the author's mind. 10/10 episode again but man I just feel depressed afterwards.

Wow I thought I was the only one. Honestly I was expecting something more disturbing with how the manga readers been hyping up the soup reveal to be the most fucked up shit ever. I guess it would be too much if Irumyuui's children look more like an actual human babies rather than a deformed baby animals.

A few things I still not understand. So Vueko is the only one that didnt turn into a Narehate right? How did she survived for hundreds of years trapped down there without any food or water?

But overall another fantastic episode and Kevin Penkin's ost is on a whole other level.

Me every episode: Pain

The more we find out about the origins of Iruburu, the more pain we receive. There's still a lot of questions, but I don't think we're anywhere near done with this (help).

Wow, all this time I thought, Irumyuui was gonna become Faputa, but that was already looking very unlikely last episode. Faputa is the embodiment of Irumyuui's feelings I guess.

Belaf was definitely not having it this episode, poor lad. How'd he go from this to the value taking snake we see now.

Honestly can't fully fault Wazukyan for what he did, he was just doing what he gotta do for their survival, but still, Jesus Christ man.

I guess Reg's promise to Faputa was to eradicate Iruburu, since he got the firepower and he can go in and out the place. Oh shit I just realized, this is probably the reason why Wazukyan was afraid of Reg. Can't wait for more pain and suffering :)

poor Belaf. wow what a harsh episode.

it was amazing seeing Irumyuui turn into the village, what the episode called the 'Golden City'. Faputa is a really well-designed character, I'm a bit sad that she ripped her fucking ear off for Reg right at the beginning there

can't wait for Reg to help her destroy the village for Faputa, that will be dope.

Belaf and Wazukyan simply played by the rules of the 6th layer, which is mysterious and dangerous. The only resource that they had for drinking water was a fucking parasitic creature they called psuedo-water. Like, damn. They really were not given a chance. Perhaps fate wanted to eradicate them right then and there, and then they found the first wish egg.

what exactly was Irumyuui's first wish? to be able to be accepted by the ability to birth children as her birth mom was in her previous village?? her birth mom was apparently used by their village to have children, but sadly we don't know anything more. We're her children also eaten or were they simply raised as villagers? I guess this would make survival easier in whatever layer Irumyuui came from (was it the 5th?), as birthing mom's would be kept away from any danger, ensuring future babies and villagers. Wazukyan understood this, and used Irumyuui's children as a food source and a cure from the psuedo-water's parasite, even chopping up the live babies. She cries when her babies are taken, reminding me of how elephants mourn their dead babies too. So this may not be remnants of Irumyuui's humanity, but maybe empathy.

and then Irumyuui was able to take in people's bodies and give them a different form. that was curious.
She was given a 2nd wish egg, and eventually Faputa is born with an innate hatred for the village and it's residents peering eyes. we're not quite sure what her 2nd wish is, but Vueko believes it is whatever Faputa wishes for, but that is not necessarily correct.
Irumyuui, as a self contained village sphere, keeps everyone inside safe, and they pay a contract with her for this safety. Irumyuui gets something out of this deal, though she herself has lost her humanity... I wonder why that is?

Though for the villagers to sacrifice their bodies, are they still retaining their souls and humanity?? if they're affected by the curse of the 6th layer, their humanity is what is taken, correct? So I'm thinking that how they trade their bodies is different in that way from the curse of the 6th layer, which takes everything including one's human form. I was also wondering if Irumyuui as a village was actually affected by the curse of the 6th layer, as she was growing larger and larger, moving vertically through the curse membrane, forcefully being sacrificed, while the villagers are protected entirely from the curse inside.. perhaps that is why Irumyuui's humanity was lost early on?

I love the ganja arc so freaking much!

From my understanding the first egg given to Irumyuui fulfilled her wish of getting her dead pet back, having children, being cured of the mock water disease, and providing a safe haven for the villagers. There were so many wishes which caused them to all become distorted. She immediately consumes the egg as seen when Veko wakes up to see Iru has the egg implanted in her chest.

The second egg given was not immediately absorbed by Iruyuumi. She held onto it and then used its full power to birth Faputa. This wish was not distorted because it was her one resolved wish: to have a child and get revenge/to eradicate the villagers to set herself free.
