The gold roger thing is not there to remind you anything but to eat up time so they don't have to drag the episode even more than they already have to. Not an unexpected response but let me get to my grand master plan of including an extra chapter by removing those fluff from the opening, it's entirely plausible that it would work. Plan B, you removed fluff at the opening then on the back-end after the brief preview, you include new mini comical skit of chibi OP pirates, I forgot the Japanese term for it, but I think you know what I mean. I have a plan C but that's not needed if plan A and B succeed. (Think they call that comic short at the end of an anime "omake", but I'm not certain.) Plan A wouldn't suceed because it would lead to fillers, and Toei obviously doesn't want fillers. Plan B is also not worth it, because making skits takes time and money, so it's a much better option for them to just insert the same shit every episode. |

How dangerous that is depends on the ability, I guess...because imagine the catastrophes that could occur if Sabo ever awakened the Mera-Mera no mi? Fires everywhere!!! Crocodile could quite possibly suck the moisture out of entire islands O_O Wondering how that'd affect sort of outlier DF abilities such as Violet's though...what would her awakened DF do? Maybe give her the ability to see into peoples thoughts without even being near them? On another note, I found that old lady hilarious XD |

| Gear four isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Like a typical shounen protagonist, it seems Luffy is pumping himself with way too much power(haki) to handle. Due to that, it will probably work like Monster Chopper, a trump card he cannot always rely on, giving us more reason to why we haven’t seen it yet. Doffy is happy to run the clock and the way he is doing it is by explaining to us that devil fruit powers have an awakening they can tap into, which from what we’re seeing is familiar to us. Not that we’ve necessarily seen awakened power before, but this is a case of a paramythia mimicking logia! Crocodile would put his palm on the ground, such as in his second fight with Luffy, and turn the entire world around them into a desert. Blackbeard, if I recall in his Ace fight, turned the entire town into darkness while devouring it. Doffy is showing us the ability to do the same, looking near identical to the time Crocodile did it. Like gear four, I’m unsure how to feel about this in the long run but I don’t have much to say about it for the time being. Speaking of Crocodile, this arc feels to be ending in the inverse to the way Alabasta did. Luffy had fought Crocodile underground when a war was ongoing, few people knew about this. When he ended up winning, the war stopped as the rain came but the Straw Hats chose to leave the country without being celebrated as heroes. They left with the majority of the community not knowing who truly saved the day. Here, like with Fishman island, the Straw Hats are celebrated as heroes, they are cheering Luffy on as Riku announced to the world that Luffy was the person they were all relying on. A little comically, we got a baby smiling at Luffy just like we did in Fishman island. While in Fishman island it was to depict the next generation coming up with different beliefs, in this case it makes me think of how Luffy will have rumours akin to Roger one day. After he dies I bet that kid will have a great story to tell. If it can remember anyways. Outside of that, Burgess is back in the story, he is presumably what Koala and Sabo were keeping tabs on. I’m glad, he’s keeping this interesting and I’ve been wanting to see him since he vanished. Hopefully this will be the look into who he is that I’ve been eager to see, it seems like the best time imaginable to explore Blackbeard’s crew! Franky has reunited with Zoro and the Wano samurai as they rode on the back of that poor sparrow and we now have a situation arise. With the factory being made of sea prism stone and not ultimately becoming an issue, it has actually done the inverse and it is now their best ally, a building which cannot be cut. I don’t exactly know how to stall the birdcage with it unless they push it back or something, but that is the safest place to be right now. Evacuate there now!! And most importantly, I thought that kids' shirts would be an animal bear. IT WAS LITERALLY BARTHOLOMEW KUMA?!?!?! I’m definitely curious about that. |
| If Doflamingo's awakened Devil Fruit has the ability to turn anything into strings with just a mere touch, I'm very curious about what extra abilities the other Devil Fruits would have if they were awakened. Like, an ability to surpass Gear 4th's already crazy enough of a thought to have! I wonder how the they'll try to stop the Birdcage from shrinking. |

| I totally forgot about Blackbeard number 2. I assume he might attack a weaken Luffy after he beats mingo. Then maybe ace comes and saves the day. But it does seem like gear 4 has a timelimit. Maybe next episode is when he finally beats Mingo. I am curious about Fuijitora and Ace role to end this arc. Maybe Ace is beating Blackbeard guy. Fuijitora the true wildcard. Also little kid having the Kuma shirt was super random. Is that a nod to Kuma or just an Easter egg. |
| Feels like for such a key world lore reveal, the ''Awakening" power of Devil Fruits was too quickly glossed over. It came across as a bit of an ass-pull. Oh Doflamingo is finally on the back foot as Luffy does a major power boost with Gear 4?...um, he can turn everything he touches into strings now! Also back to the times we see complaints about the likes of Luffy and Law just walking off everything most of the time. This episode showed that like when Luffy first had Gears 2 & 3, he had a limit on how much they could be used which vanished as he got stronger. It seems that the reason people don't go around armament coated all the time is because it is taxing, so Luffy can't hold Gear 4 for too long. However, despite being thrown across half the country and knocked through multiple buildings...Doflamingo's patch job 'first aid' stitching of his oblterated organs is perfectly holding up? That's more busted than any injury the Strawhats or their allies have walked off. As beautiful as your speech was Riku, you have a horrible sense of urgency. Everyone was running with the cage right behind them...and he went over the top with too many words while they all just stopped and listened. Was Doflamingo polite enough to stop the cage shrinking during this speech or something? :P |
