It features elements from several anime I like and and even from one of my favorites. But what's the craziest about this show is that it's from the same brain as whoever thought up zetsubou sensei, a series I don't exactly like. But unlike that one, the jokes don't drag, there's no weird tonal shifts and there's a fluidity to everything. Funny thing is, the overthinking is on kaguya levels but it knows when to shut it down. It's really well put together and a great example of a creator whose work I don't usually like can still surprise and entertain me. It makes me wonder if perhaps it's based on a friend or colleague.
