| I was blown away by how good this episode really was.........damn..... The entire presentation of the backstory for both Hiro and zero Two was powerful, brutal and also really touching and sweet. Zero Two's adorable grin to Hiro must be protected! =3 I'll admit that I didn't shed a tear, but, especially in the last 5 minutes of the episode, I felt goosebumps throughout by body. The feels were strong and the song that played during the present scene with Hiro and Zero Two crying was insanely impactful. It also makes me pretty much want to hate all of the adults in this show now, with how they treated Zero Two in the backstory. That includes Dr. FranXX as well. What a way to start the second half of the show with an episode this amazing. Bravo! ^__^ |
| Damn damn damn damn damn--- I think this is the most beautiful episode I've watched for this anime so far! Zero Two's past is the answer why she behaves like this all the episodes. It's just so good... And also, Zero Two as a child is so cute. I hope I'm not the only one lol Expecting the next episode to be epic and maybe new opening and ending? |

I am sure most of them, if not all of them will side with 016 and 002 if they plan to take on this horrible world made by those Papa people. Why do you insist calling them by code numbers? They have names. And after seeing how the adults treat them, the names are far more important than the numbers. There will be other 015s, but only one Ichigo. It's Miku. Only the adults call her 390. And it's more and more obvious that the "adults" in this world can get stuffed. I like their codenames despite of that. There are so many Mikes and Davids around me anyways. |

| The beast and the prince. What a fitting story for the two...What unexpected reunion. More of a reason to hate the adults now. Now I'm excited for the next episode. Also, I really like the bgm when the two are under the tree. I would love to get the full song. |

| Absolutely stellar episode. Child Zero Two was so incredibly cute, I felt so sorry for her. She's gone through complete hell for probably the majority of her life, with little to no interaction with anyone. I found myself almost completely captivated by her innocence. Even Hiro was terrific this week. This episode was really needed overall. Zero Two finally got her backstory and we understand why Hiro lost his memories. This only furthered my disgust on how the children are being treated, God knows what happens to the children who don't make the cut. I don't have any qualms with this episode, it was flawless. Excellent shots, music, pace, and story telling; all perfectly woven together to create an incredibly tragic tale. Next week cannot come soon enough, we'll finally get the relationship development between Hiro and Zero Two we've been waiting for. 5/5 |

| Okay this has got to be one of the best flashback episode I've seen ever. The story is good in and of itself but goddamn the execution was so well done. I loved the beginning with present Hiro beside oni zero two and also holding young Hiro's hand. I loved the narration. I loved the static here and there. I loved the parallel to Zero Two's actions in previous episodes. The story in the picture book was tragic as fuck also fits really well with Zero two's actions as of now. All in all definitely one if not the best episode of the series. Will expect great things from here on from this show now that the characters have been established and we can finally move to the grand plot. |

| Great episode, though my only one dislike is that it was kind of so typical...oh they knew each other as kids....oh he is the original darling. Jeez. Other than that, it was really touching and great story. I always liked 02 and Hiro, now I feel even more for them. |

| Great episode. My favorite one so far. Awesome storytelling! Apparantly memories were wiped for obvious reasons. I wonder how he suddenly got it back (not sure what triggered it. missed that). Can't wait what will happen next! Things got so much more interesting now! |

| Great episode! So the adults wiped Hiro's memory. I still wonder, if Papa and the others are even human. At least no one can complain, that the childhood friend doesn't win after this episode. |

| Didn't expect an episode of THIS caliber from this show. This was fantastic. Easily the best episode I've seen this year thus far. The voice acting from Tomatsu Haruka was also amazing. |
