I tell myself to read more books and manga but I never seem to do be able to do so.

Productivity (if you can even call it that) is just not in my system.

There's Jekyll and Hyde sitting there which is a pretty short novel and I haven't even read it yet

If you want to read Victorian 'horror' you should just read Frankenstein instead, Mary Shelley is pretty good. Inb4 Frakenstein is pre-victorian, that's technically correct but a bit pedantic.

well I don't know what defines something as classical so I just say "classical" when I mean a sufficiently old book kek

The writer of HotD had like a cancer or something at some point, which stopped him from writing. He's been healed for many years now but never got back into writing the story. Meanwhile the artist started doing Triage X

TL;DR it's one of those cases where the source material is stuck in a limbo

Also the reason why I want to read classics is because while I have read books before, like from Mitch Albom and shit, I've never really read a classic book until Monte Cristo, which I was so engrossed with I had to stop myself from finishing in a single day because there's a blackout caused by a storm(which lasts long). Its also now my favorite book.
So i became interested

Just don't become one of those people who read certain books because they feel like it's something to cross off their list.

People should read books because they want to, not because they want to read certain books that are on some sort of list of things to read to become accepted in some fraudulent circle of nerd readers.

Always frustrates me when I see people jumping around the canon, picking up all the "hard" books and ignoring everything else without any concept of pacing yourself and reading stuff that isn't just big name "high-brow" literature.
like in anime, I just pick what seems interesting. I dont really read much into the backgrounds of the writers or the books. If there's a "tag" in the book called "classics" im just more interested.

And fuk no i wouldnt do that. Reading a novel takes far more motivation than watching anime, bragging rights is none of my concern

Owarimonogatari volume 3 (second cour) anime adaptation has been green-lit for production, according to a push notification from the Koyomimonogatari mobile application.

Source: Kazuhiro Tsuchiya via Twitter

Hype! Shaft is already doing Kizumonogatari and has taken two non-Monogatari projects recently, so second cour may air sometime Summer of Fall of 2017.

It's pretty crazy that we might actually get a full adaptation of the Monogatari franchise after all these years.

Usually LN adaptations stay at the one or two cours so it's nice to see something complete for a change
