| K before I forget ... WTF is up with Rin's teeth?! LOL XD Also man, I LOVE the BGM they use in this show :D Poor Rei not being able to swim ... I thought he'd manage it! Also poor Kou not getting called what she wants ... it's starting to get kind of annoying TBH :P Swimsuit shopping = many, MANY moments showing off their bodies. The rainbow pants ... BUTTERFLY (foreshadowing much? :P) ... but Makoto looked good in his suit I think :P THE RIN AND HARUKA MOMENT. OH MY GOD I WAS LIKE O_O No way else to interpret that ... come on LOL ;P Even with Haruka teaching him Rei still can't do it ... until hearing what he said about not being free, either. Turns out he just hadn't tried the butterfly stroke yet! Which is interesting because isn't it supposed to be the hardest one? Well, I guess there ARE probably people that can only do one stroke :P So is next episode the "training" episode? Well looks like they go to some island ... who would've thought I'd be marathoning to catch up with this show haha XD |

| 5/5 Plot redundant, but nice story anyway, thanks to the dialogues! LOL Rei, thanks to this whole arc dedicated to him will result in the end perhaps the best character in the series. | Was hesitant to see this show at first as I had read of many reviews saying this show has excessive fan-service and whatnot, but finally gave it a shot and am really liking it. yes there are a few scenes service to fanservice for girls, but I don't think its too excessive. And I felt that all the guys are really close friends rather than any of their convos or gestures suggesting shounen ai or yaoi subtext. Well will be cautious on future eps though. Can't say when such things might pop up x_x |

| Idk why but every time I watch Free!, time seems so pass by really slowly. I never experienced this kind of feeling before when I watch anime. Does anyone else feel the same way? The point of having a newbie in the team is to inform the basics of swimming to the average viewer. I think it's done well cos I know little abt swimming prior to watching this. Nagisa's idea for this ep: matching uniforms! Rei fanservice shots lol. His antics really amuse me this episode. Any more of this and I'm gonna be attached to his character. Meeting Rin seems to instill a strong reaction from Haruka, I noticed. And, the part where they shopped for swimsuits is the best part of the show so far! :D |
| If that's what their bodies look like without working out properly, then I'm not sure I could handle it when they do work out xD And omgosh, I loved the shopping/dressing room scene! That one had me laughing hahaha Rei is officially one of my favourite characters in this series <3 & Haru of course! |

| It seems that finally the characters are serious, even if the narration abounds in the spirit and the atmosphere is fun all the time. The character of Gou, she is not useless at the end, her presence in the narrative has its own reason. |

| Well, if girls usually have their own "let's buy new swimsuits!" dedicated episode, why not doing the same with the boys, right? Although Rei's taste in swimsuits is definitely beyond human dignity... All in all, it was an OK episode. |
