Looking for more anime that either a) Fully adapts its source material or b) It IS the source material (i.e. Code Geass). I generally don't like abandoned anime. Some genres I like: romance, mystery, thriller, supernatural (includes Vampires, demons, etc.), slice of life, adventure, harem, ecchi. If it's unfinished but has a manga that is finished or is likely to be finished, I'll consider those, too. I already have a lot on my completed and plan to watch lists.

Try out:
  • Toradora!- completed romantic comedy, also a light novel but those are done
  • Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun- anime doesn't cover all of the manga but the manga is finished
  • Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (2012)- action, adventure, and comedy, there are two parts in the anime and each part is like a self-contained story, the manga is still on-going but it has 7 parts (so 7 different stories) but I'm not exactly sure if that really qualifies
  • Needless- action, adventure, comedy, and ecchi- anime has an original ending but the manga is now finished

You should try out Supernatural The Animation :3
It is about two brotheres who go out and kill demons and vampiers and ghosts and anything bad. It is made after the show Supernatural which is also awesome ^.^

You know, it's pretty funny that you mention Supernatural because I've heard of that anime but I never really thought to look into it. I never realized that it was actually an adaption of the live-action US TV series. I watched a few episodes of the live-action show here and there with my mom and it was pretty good. Maybe I can get my mom to watch the anime version...

The live-action is a lot better the anime moves a little too fast but it still works well with the show. It stays close to the story and follows the real show very close.

The only bad thing is it has not continued so you may want more :3

I've really been into Slice of life/romance/comedy lately.
Please have a male protagonist and check out my profile to see the anime I have finished.

Oreimo is ok. It makes fun of Otaku culture, but still has some romance.

Mirai Nikki had a satisfying ending, but you need to watch the OVA. Not sure what you are into, but you should check it out if you haven't already.

Okay. I can help with this.
Something that IS the source material: ANOHANA. Nothing else was before this so there is no comparison. Sad but good.

I honestly loved Ao no exorcist. Although the end was different that the manga (which is ongoing), up until that point is SPOT ON. Same goes for 07-ghost, I think. Never read the whole manga yet for 07-Ghost but the anime was good.

And lastly, check out azu manga daioh for slice of life its HILARIOUS!

Okay so, for vampires, you may want to try out Blood+ and Hellsing Ultimate. For demons, if you don't mind ecchi, I'd say give High School DxD a try. You may also like Hataraku Maou-sama for demons.

If you've watched any of these before, update your list and post again, we'll try to help you out :)

I have had a hard time finding new anime to watch. I want something that is completed, I don't like waiting week to week to watch a series, and I want something that has a good, happy ending. I don't like watching a whole series with the ending turning out to be crap. I don't like any of the main characters dying either. Any genre is fine aside from horror or the magical girl type. I like the plot to have depth.

I know I can be quite picky, that's probably why I'm having such a hard time, but I'm hoping someone will have some recommendations. :)

Okay so, literally, the first five or six anime that immediately came to mind you had already watched so I nearly pulled my hair out XD But, from your plan to watch list, Needless has a great soundtrack and great action but but I wouldn't really consider it amazing in the art category. The Rebuild of Evangelion movies are pretty good for those three (especially the latest one) and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) has all three in my opinion as well.

You can check Monster too if you like Seinen - Mystery - Psychological. I liked it's manga a lot more, but it's anime is a full adaptation, there is almost 0 difference between the manga and the anime.

I didn't read their manga yet but I heard Bakuman and K-On! are complete adaptations too. They're both Slice of life - Comedy mainly.

Luna's weird requests, next round~

Have a character, who gets/has a reason so deslike/detest/hate a different "side", other type of persons, monsters, swears revenge, fights them, whatever. And just sorts of ends up actually being more or less of that other "side". (Personality dilemma or so not necessarily needed.)
+ I haven't watched it yet.

Hi guys, just finished Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom and all I could think the whole time was holy shit dem feels. With moments such as (SPOILERS) Reiji becoming Phantom in the church, or the revelation Eren was still alive in the sniping scene. The whole anime was filled with "FCK YEAH" moments that made you just want to keep watching, in a similar way to Death Note and Code Geass.

Anyway looking for something that is just addicting to watch, doesn't have to be top quality, I prefer things with a serious tone, anything over 50 eps is a no-go. Thanks guys!

Hi, I'm looking for some animes that will make me cry :p

Ecchi or fan service don't bother me, I prefer something serious than something going out of imagination but I might like both ...

(I did not like Clannad, it's not in my list but I've dropped it, and I did not like it, although I think I might have dropped it too early)

See my list for more details, also see in my "Plan to Watch" if there's something I must watch before something else ^^

(My favourite of all is : Zero no Tsukaima, if anyone could ever give me something related, 'cause I can't find something anymore, again see my "Watched" for more info, I've watch a lot of relateds but nothing hit me up to the same level as ZnT.
Something else to mention : I love Fox/Wolf and almost all animal characters !)

Thx a lot, and Merry Xmas (a little late) !

(And I'm sorry for the bad English)
