| Seems like I was wrong, those are perfect replicas, Denken and the others with him couldn't defeat it alone I guess that's expected. IF only there was a mimic oh so conveniently just laying around But I think it won't work as the clone doesn't have a brain, it just mimics The functions of one plus Frieren said she can get out of it alone but it might as well or not give enough time for the real one to destroy it. Fern was so confident that she could kill Frieren that it was reassuring and almost scary at the same time, she was so cute with the way she pulled back Frieren from Methode. And the scenes of other adventures going about their paths are really well put together. ohh and the guy who first went up ahead alone, I guess no one remembers him. Frieren taught Fern the fun of dungeon exploration, just like Himmel taught her. I love how the show always connects Frieren's past with the present. It's beautiful. |

| Ubel and Land, vs Ubel herself. Though Land was injured it turns out it was just a clone. Ubels plan of attacking head on and distracting the clone of herself was quite a smart idead and she sure had a lot of trust in Land to come and save her. Denken and his group sure were out matched against a clone of Frieren adn he made the right call of retreating, Frieren and her group stumbling upon them was unexpected but i guess who else was gonna defeat Frieren? Fern saying she could kill Frieren has gotta to be a joke, right? She is strong dont get me wrong but Frieren is on a whole different level compared to most. Wirbels group seem to be doing well against there clones and it seems to be quite an even match but i suspect theyll pull through. Those protection golem things are quite cool i like seeing them block attacks and run away. |

| They're really taking it slow in this arc. Can't say I enjoy the screentime of the side characters that much though. |
| Interesting to get a little bit of info on what is creating the replicas, really isn't surprising that the labyrinth wasn't completed yet. Ubel and Land look to be making a solid team, but still not sure if she was there on her own if she would have been able to defeat her replica. Seeing Fern bring up that she might be able to kill the Frieren replica so nonchalantly was something I didn't expect, curious to see what she has in mind for dealing with it. |

| Another amazing episode, with epic fights, more development of the characters, and even more mystery. Anything you could ask for in a Frieren Episode. Fern might be able to defeat Frieren's clone, since we know that Fern actually casts spells faster than Frieren, so that might be what she's thinking of. Laufer saving Ubel, and Ubel knowing was cool honestly, but it seems like the other partys are having an hard time defeating the clones, and the mage they were waiting for has actually decided to return from the dungeon, since she was too tired and done with the exam (but they were against the examiner's clone, that's just malicious). Also, the clones really don't have a mind, so she wouldn't be useful anyway. Really curious how will Fern and Frieren defeat Frieren's clone, but the opening does spoil that these 2 are the ones to defeat it. Also, the more times I listen to this opening, the more I think it doesn't fit this arc at all. The song is good, and it kinda fits Frieren's style, but this arc is a lot more action packed that the previous ones, so I don't think a song like this fits this arc at all. Also, the 1st opening was just way too good, so I'm afraid 1st opening will be the iconic opening for now, this one just feels out of place with such a action-packed arc, it would have been better if the arc was more sentimental (which I'm sure will happen in the future). Also, it's kind of funny how Sein appears in the opening, but during this 2nd cour he only appeared in like half a episode, and I doubt he will return any time sooner. Anyways, only 4 episodes to go, and honestly I'm sad about that, can't believe I will run out of Frieren to watch so soon! I'm enjoying this anime so much! It's amazing honestly! Will watch the next episode right after I write this! |
| The anime's answer to the question of what made the 93,000th Dungeon Crawl we've ever seen a particular challenge for the protagonists of this one is: Different levels on the way down are guarded by golems that appear to be CGI renders of the characters themselves, with all the color drained out. So the only way to advance is- you have to know how to defeat yourself! And everything progresses the same exact way as any other fight against a surprisingly determined deaf-mute golem in pretty much every other fantasy anime since the 1970s. Speaking of which I was slightly disappointed that Frieren didn't say "Open Says Me!" to unlock the secret room she found along the hall.... Smug Green Haired Chick plays Ms Smugly with the blond guy, I know she's supposed to be a badass Girlboss but her unchanging expression isn't making her much to empathize with... and the blond guy acts equally dismissive and uncaring- it has a very strong flavor of post-2020 "He Who Cares Least Wins" kind of nihilism to it. Even so there was plenty of action and consequences. Until it all stopped dead in its tracks- so the girl in one of the parties (with the bald guy who first refused the old dude's proposal of working together) starts talking about the golem they're about to face and WILL NOT SHUT UP. She talks in monotone- without a breath- just droning on exposition- for like 5 minutes straight. It KILLED the momentum. But this is also nothing new because it describes nearly every other episode. But it was just so noticeable this time because there had been action, and then it just- stopped. *I do have slightly a question about the loli-proctor girl- since she's not supposed to help in any way but also knows the place by heart; if she knows a particular room has a deadly demon in it- I assume she wouldn't walk in- I mean she'd then get killed too- but if she suddenly wouldn't go in, wouldn't that give away that it's a trap and help them?? Oh never mind. This show never was trying to be logical anyway so whatever. |
| It's not that complicated. Frieren + Fern + Dengen + that other chick surely can simply overpower just Frieren. Or they can just conjure out a mimic. |

| There was alot of fighting in this episode so it was sort of hard to keep track of but that doesn't really bother me. I think the episode started out with one of the characters fighting a clone of themselves which really is a cool concept and really does go to show how complex the magic system is in Frieren. That's the only thing i remember but still a really fun episode to watch and I like watching Frieren. |
| If I had a nickel everytime a fictionnal character fights by transforming their hair into various weapons I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice right? That said I don't think Millia Rage could go 1on1 with this sense clone. Now that I think about it Millia doesn't use Mana so she might get the upper hand if that mud clone just exhausts itself. |
| Fern has better reflexes than Frieren, so that will help in battle. Though I'm still team just let Frieren fight her and everyone else exploits the weakness. |

| Aw, I kinda wanted the non-main ground to beat the Frieren clone. She said that she's been beaten by like 10 people, so it wouldn't ruin her character, and it would be cool for the "underdogs". |
