Pretty sad, but it seems like Vash isn't all that determined at this point. Everything is moving kinda slow.

I couldn't really feel bad about Brad's death. He wasn't given enough screen time to get used to him as a friend.

Same here. I get teary-eyed if it's a meaningful death and a likable character, but Brad just didn't have enough screen time to get me sad. But it's kinda sad how everywhere Vash goes, disaster follows him.

And now I finally figured out that those "power plants" were actually plants inside a glass-container. All this time I thought they were just huge light bulbs.

Things get so hard, now when we're close to the end.. And I really like the sci-fi elements we're getting now.

The theme in the final moment was so sad =

Not for me... IMO it just keeps getting cheesier and cheesier... I preferred the first episodes to what the series seems to be turning into...

Same, I am getting tired of Vash
i always thought the earlier episodes were the cheesier ones with the screwball comedy. What is cheesy about this? The fact that Vash morns over the loss of a human life? I think you are missing the point of Vash's character. Vash is basically a combination of buddhist and catholic ideals made flesh. The author of the manga on which the tv show is somewhat based on was a buddhist like most people in Japan but converted to Catholicism and it show in his writing. Wolfwood on the other hand is an example of a man torn between ideals and reality which is why he is MUCH more willing to get his hands dirty. Finally for all of you enjoy the Trigun anime but are confused by the story I recommend you check out the Trigun and Trigun Maximum mangas as they go into more detail and explain alot more things like what plants really are and they also
, or at least that is what i feel.

they're really piling on the death count now it seems like. vash went completely insane back in the town when the huge gatling gun dude killed a bunch of people. now it seems like there's so many deaths he doesn't even have time to really react anymore lol.

I couldn't take Brad seriously, he looked like a weird vintage Scar from FMA xD

Vash resolution to not kill anyone hurted a lot in this one. If he had killed the weird torpedo guy, the ship probably wouldn't have crashed...

I guess it was Legato plan all along, to damage Vash psychologicaly.

Knives seem to be badly injured (even amputated), maybe one of the reason of his grudge against Vash.

Vash origin seem to be mystic. Brad talked about a timeless man or something like this, and he called the weird creature in the engine ''sister''. We could go farther and say that when he does that weird thing with is arm (the big laser), it is his true form.

Damn... that was a high body count of innocent people. Though its kinda messed up that they stayed secret up there. Who knows how much the "lost technology could have helped the rest of the people of that planet. I'm glad Wolfwood killed that guy. I have a lot of respect for Vash's code of ethics, but I'm glad there's a wolfwood around.

Wolfwood is so cool, too bad his oufit is kinda lame, its so pedestrian. if they gave him black shoes and like a slightly loosened tie, that would raise his badassness by 50%.

I agree "cheesy" seems like a totally inappropriate word to describe these last few episodes. I also agree that this series is getting better and more interesting, but also more tragic. Reminds me of the feelings I got while watching FMA brotherhood.

I thought this was a very entertaining episode. I think Vash is still hungover from the Augusta incident. I think it really took a toll on him. I am excited to see where everythong goes, but also nervous for anyone who is aquainted with Vash. It was nice to see where the new red jacket actually came from too.

A serious episode at once, it would be nice if the show was like that from the beginning. Nevertheless, a death of a newly shown character has no weight/burden at all.

This show seem to struggle a bit with the light hearted humor moments and serious dark undertone in the second half of the show. The comedic timing and funny vash faces he made during a massacre on the ship feel really awkward to me.

Thanfully the priest found the puppet master first, because if Vash were the one to find him I bet it would go somewhat like this: "Why?? Why are you doing this?!?! Blah blah oh well, you killed a lot of my friends and their families?? I'll cry but I'll let you go this time, and the next time...and the next..." LOL

Damn, this episode tore at the heart strings a little bit, and for a character we barley knew.

I'm really intrigued by this Knives/Vash relationship and what exactly are they??
Obviously I feel like they aren't human but possibly were once one in the same? Split from the same source and it created two forms, evil and good?

Very sad episode - I was very sad when Brad died. The fight between Wolfwood and the giant had some weird pacing, but the action was exciting overall. The plant was really otherworldly and weird. We're really speeding ahead now to the end.

What an amazing episode, my favourite one for sure. Now I think that there is a possibility that I might give Trigun a score of a 9, but it will have to get even better than this till the end.

Felt bad for Brad. He was being a bit of a dick earlier, but he just wanted to protect his people. Although my reaction to the moment when he gets shot got kind of ruined because of the way bullets entering his body was animated xd At first I thought "Wait, why is there no blood? Is he a fucking robot?! O:" and immediately after that, I realised that it's simply the way it was drawn and I just started laughing while Vash was holding Brad on his hands. lol

LEGATO IS WINNING. VASH CAN'T CATCH A BREAK. But I kinda like this route anime goes sometimes. Awesome episode, tho I expected the fall of the ship to be more destructive (Like when Vash created a hole in the 5th moon.)

I dunno why people are sad again? They don't give a shit if their people die, so why should we? Also, how did Wolfwood find the puppeteer again? Vash is shown to have vastly superior reaction speed compared to regular humans but he can't react to the puppet, but Brad did? Vash has lived for over 100 years but he doesn't know that he should atleast make sure that the opponent is properly incapacitated? Another BS episode.

I felt really bad for Vash since this was one of his worst defeats yet. It looked like things would actually end well until everything went wrong in what was pretty much an instant. The losses were tremendous but at least Wolfwood was able to kill that accursed puppeteer from behind the scenes in Vash's behalf.

I'm hoping things would go well for the guy for once...

man, just when the episode were so good, cam that twist at the end and made it better.

i just remembered in the episode that vash could "talk" to machines and then that happens. too bad though he didn't made it...

and though they made the series to more battle series, i actually don't mind this much.

Bad episode, I didn't care for Brad, he was badly written character anyway, those villians aren't interesting either, one is a non-talking machine, the other one is just says cheesy lines about how strong his armour is or condemned Vash's past (which already happened in episode 5). The puppeteer had interesting ability that may lead to such plottwists, but also fails as a character. I the writer dig a hole for themselves interducing that many villian character at once.

For those saying the first half of episodes were cheesy because they had so much comedy, you are forgetting something called "theme exploration", each episode had a certain theme related to the apocalyptic setting, or Vash's ethics, themes such as political corruption, revenge, pacifism, poverty, running from own's past, and many other themes.

Having a linear ongoing plot is not necessarily a good thing, when now we lack well written sub-characters and minor villians, theme exploration was also lost when it could still be blended with each episode.

Previously, opinions and different life perspectives in context with the abovementioned explored themes were important for character development, now both Meryl and Milly are completely useless characters, because only raw power and fighting abilities is what's currently important.

These gung-ho-guns sure don't mess around and calling out Vash as not human, to boot.

Three cheers for accidental ship acid, Wolfwood!

Ah, there was a Jessica puppet, that's why in the last episode she gave zero craps about being held hostage and piles of dead bodies and just hugged Vash.

That ending was brutal. So sad.

I never cared all that much for Brad, so, oh well? But also; I always sort of felt like this was one of the less interesting episodes. I definitely didn't care about any of these other Gung-Ho Guns when compared to the previous ones. Though, they were all way more fleshed out in the manga anyway. Iirc just about each one got their own volume. So throwing 3 into essentially 30 minutes was going to be rushed no matter how you look at it.
