| And just like that, Gold is dead, she didn’t get a flashy anime death, just a single bullet to the forehead, she was pretty cool and amusing with her fixation on money but I’m glad she’s donion rings. I also appreciate the fact that Fire Force is merciless when it comes to killing the white-clad, ever since the Purple Haze knights it hasn’t been afraid to cull them, I just wish one of the main ones would die next like Haumea or Yona, Arrow not so much because she’s hot lol. But Gold wasn’t an easy kill, it took quite a bit of doing to end her, including Company 8 dropping their pants lol, only in Fire Force man, but hey at least Tamaki wasn’t singled out in the fanservice department this time, although the fact they made a super attack on top of her butt was wild lol, dat ass ain’t just for sitting that’s for sure. And this wasn’t just a good showing for Tamaki, but for Licht as well, he’s helped the 8th time and time again with his big brain and he’s done it again. Lisa was also pretty awesome here, I loved getting to see her using her fire ability for the first time since her villain arc, more Lisa content is always welcome in my book. And I had a feeling this Stream guy would die quickly since it’s happened before with the white-clad extras, and yep, Arthur to the rescue lol, glad he’s finally rejoined the fight tho, hopefully he gets to pop off during this arc. And man that is a mean cliffhanger lol, I doubt Obi becomes an Infernal here but I am really curious as to how he makes it out of this if he does survive, will he be compatible with the flames like Nataku or will something else save him? Next Friday will be here in the blink of an eye so I don’t need to wonder long. |

Well, there's Tamaki's ass from the preview... damn. Ok I know Tamaki is hot but, melting iron on her butt? lmao. Gold's death sequence ended up being kind of funny. So I assume Obi is going to awaken some power, right? Meanwhile Burns continues to stand there... menacingly. |

| Great episode as always, I like that they don't hesitate on killing their enemies, Hinawa is so cool, he avenged the 4th former Captain without even knowing it. Lisa finally deciding to help was also cool. And Tamaki, her growth has been great, her ecchi scenes are all over the place but who cares at this point, she is amazing. Btw this is what a peak female looks like and I don't care what anyone says:  Arthur is finally here! As always, the best for last! That ending was amazing, finally a bad guy who actually uses his head, "implant the insect in Obi", that was all they had to do to begin with lol, we are now sure that Burns truly became evil. I'm sure Obi will become the 7th pillar. |

| Late reply, but good ep Finally company 8 vs Gold is over, gang did well to win. Nice to see Arthur back again, VERY confused why they didn't put "" fully in the ep but it's fine ig since "" is in the pv. Great but minimal animation, way better than the last 2 eps. They gotta stop wasting time on things that could easily be summarized. Better ep in terms of pace ig. This ep adapted from ch 184-187 (4 ch), tho some pages of 186 is left out along with most of 187. SO more like 3.5 ch was adapted. Based off pv we should get "". Our first high PRIORITY EP "should" be next ep. 9/10 |

| I really shouldn't have gotten my hopes up so high after that banger first episode because man has every episode since then just been on disappointment after the other. Be it the slow pacing, the fact they have CUT DOWN (???) the runtime, and yes the elephant in the room, the Tamaki fanservice. Couple that with mediocre animation and storyboards... this is actually season two level again. |

| It appears Leo Burns has truly joined the dark side, he was not scheming some elaborate "inside man" play. A comment on the "science" of this episode: They could have easily gone with a "magic did it" hand-wavy explanation and none would be the wiser - after all this is a story with people having a multitude of fire based powers. Instead they tried -and failed- to provide a ridiculous pseudo-scientific explanation about the magnetic properties of gold, iron's ferromagnetism, and the relation of magnetism to temperature, to feign some science chops. Out of everything that was claimed by Licht & co only one thing was correct: that iron (and every other metal) loses its magnetism above a certain temperature. So melted iron is indeed non (ferro)magnetic at all, due to magnetism's.. distaste for high temps, the very different layout of atoms and electron spins in liquid vs solid iron etc For the exact same reason gold could never turn... heat into electromagnetism(!?), as was claimed, and its extremely weak diamagnetism in fact drops rather than rises at a higher temperature, as was also incorrectly claimed by Licht. Gold's diamagnetism is so weak, even at very low temps, that it would be impossible for Gold (the villain) to use a gold gauntlet as an EM weilder and controller. It is sensitive organs weak, and besides diamagnetism simply creates weak opposing magnetic fields; only a metal that is ferro- or ferrimagnetic is what is commonly considered "magnetic". The writer simply liked Gold being... gold, and then came up with a completely unscientific explanation, using high grade BS pseudoscience, about why her gauntlet was gold, which doubled as a plot device. An unnecessary "explanation" only the scientifically illiterate would buy... |

| Pretty underwhelming arc so far. This fight against Gold was probably the most boring one Fire Force has offered till date. |

| Hinawa and the others facing against Gold, and she's not an easy one to deal with. It now depends on the experimental scientist Licht to uncover her undoing, though by then, they can only defend themselves against her power combo of gold that creates magnetism. And for once, Tamaki's Lucky Lecher curse actually works, and Lisa, the former member of the Ashen Flame, shines through together with Licht and Vulcan to find their way to victory. To have the iron remnants and using Tamaki's butt for heating iron to combust her gauntlet, that's all it took just to defeat Gold. Even with that, it's one small step to victory, and as Stream the Gale steps up, so too does Arthur once being left behind his Purple Flash being the killer. Obi's indefinite fall to becoming an Infernal is set in stone, and Shinra is not happy about this. How will he deal with one, let alone two strong people? |

| Gold had company 8 surrounded with her magnetism, but she couldn't kill their teamwork! Vulcan and Licht's assistance can't be understated. Tamaki's powered up fireball was grand, and their impromptu iron dish couldn't have been thought up by anyone else. I'm glad Lisa was able to play a key part here too. This situation with Obi is reaching its worst case scenario. Some infernals keep their minds, or maybe he'll just be really lucky and gain powers from this ordeal like Nataku. I wouldn't mind the bug being extinguished either! |
