Lots of suspense this episode with a misterious killer that flawlessly kills other Digimon with one shot. The biggest part of it probably the fact that Digimon being able to die was revealed for the first time in this universe. And of course everything needs to be in German, since German is THE scary language, right? XD The fact that he's killed almost 1000 Digimon so far again shows the scale of how many Digimon are probably all over the city already.

Nice to see Clockmon being an official ally now.

Gammamon being a show-off by showing he can count to three <3 I wonder if him suddenly chewing on senpai's monitor this episode was supposed to foreshadow something, it seemed pretty random tho.

Intense action started almost right away this episode, which left less time for build up, which makes me kinda wish this story was a two-parte instead. That's only a small nitpick tho.

Bokomon DID appear not so long ago, but I guess long ago enough for me to actually care about him being kgone, there was enough time to get used to seeing him around, being useful with his knowledge and always being nice to everyone, especially Gammamon. But I do think it's strange that Tapirmon seems to barely give a fuck about that, maybe VA's acting is off.

I didn't have any issues with how SkullGreymon and Megidramon were handled in their own series, but it really is a nice break off from the pattern to make GulusGammamon have a mind and personality of his own, along with for once the dark evolution not being human partner's fault at all, but Digimon's kokoro no yami instead. I love how GulusGammamon mocks their "this is not Gammamon" reaction. It felt like "Oh, so you reject me as part of him? Joke's on you, those are the facts, suckers!" What makes his personality more interesting that from his behaviour it's not entirely clear whether he's impressed/amuzed or disgusted by Sealsdramon's reasons. Props for graet acting, Miyuki-san! Especially that it's effectively your fifth Gammamon to play.

Interesting how the partnership between Gammamon and Hiro is still technically a thing in this form, since Hiro is still getting the attack names in his head (or he would if he didin't reject them this time). But this episode makes me wonder - are they even necessary? GulusGammamon seemed to be waiting for a command, even though he could still do the special attack without it. Is there some additional advantage/power-up from it being commanded by the human partner? Or maybe it's just that GulusGammamon still wants to work together with Hiro despite being warped? His behaviour and facial expressions seem to subtly imply this, which makes me think that maybe GulusGammamon is not a separate personality at all, just the "warped adult state" of the original Gammamon.

Another worldbuilding bit, Digimon DO turn into Digitama after dying even in human world (didn't happen in Adventure), though it's possible that it only happens in this pocket dimension. Interesting that BlackTailmon goes out of his way to gather them though, I wonder if he takes them back to Digital World.

this one is a great episode. RIP Bokomon. i'm just wonder about sealsdramon last word "Well Done/ Migoto" after getting killed by gulusgammamon. why i just feel like sealsdramon is just a subordinate of something bigger that wants to gammamon dark digivolve. and about gulusgammamon, rather than have berserk personality, he has his own. i think he actually just an adult gammamon with a new personality rather than the same personality as the baby like other evolution. because his word is like he wants to say he still the same gammamon but with evil personality. and the part when gulusgammamon want Hiro says the special attack name, i think he want hiro to cooperate with him because he is his partner but then Hiro confusion made gulusgammamon want to separate the partner link by calling the special by himself. i think he wants a partner with the same personality as him but Hiro didn't have that so he want to break the partnership. cmiiw :)

I'm pretty surprised by this episode.

Up til this point no matter how terrible a Digimon acts/ do , all of them are spared and there's 0 casualty up til this point.

Then suddenly 1k Digimons died in one episode.
We get the dark shinka from ep1 foreshadowing.

Finally seems like the show going to have a direction in terms of story.
Up til this point although not bad, I haven't see a goal or direction of what this Digmon series is going.

well thats gotta be one of the best dark evolution episodes since the original adventure. I liked how it actually had a personality compared to the mindless monster we usually get.

Damn, is this finally the dark twist we have been waiting for since the beggining of this ghost themed Digimon season?

Death has been dealt with in earlier seasons, obviously, but never depicted quite this seriously and violently, I don't think so, that digimon just killed 1000 other digimon, not for survival, but because he just wanted to.

And this evolution for gammamon was almost as impactful as Greymon evolving into Skullgreymon.

This was the kind of stuff i wanted to see more of after the first few episodes so its good we finally got more. I dont need it to be super dark all the time but rather i just want that forboding tone this and the first couple episodes have had.
