| Dials seem interesting! However, there seems to be a bit of inconsistency... since we just saw a fax machine, and what looked like a computer hooked up to a transponder snail back in the Jaya arc... so why would the crew be so surprised by something like a motorized boat, or some kind of tape recorder. Shouldn't this type of technology be commonplace in the one piece world if computers exist? Of course, this fax machine / computer combo was on a navy vessel, so perhaps it's simply new technology that the marines had developed or gotten their hands on before anybody else. Or perhaps it was added in by the anime team, and therefore not canon. I haven't read the manga, so I'm not sure if it appears there as well... |

| I have a big feeling that this is far from heaven. That maybe the lights will turn on figuratively and we'll see that this place isn't nearly as friendly as it seems. Perhaps God isn't really a God or a good person but someone who's claiming that role and controlling all. I don't know exactly why but I feel like this has to be the case in some way. I'm sure it also has to do with the giants that we've seen. I got that feeling ever since we met the attacker and the sky knight. Not to forget that evil old lady angel either or the fact that Conis and Pagoya didn't mention the sacred land Nami couldn't enter until now and let her ride around freely, this could be an accident but it's another factor that could be at play. Robbin looked happy, she never expected to be a part of a 'family' like this, nor did she think she would go on adventures this meaningful and interesting with them. She's always been alone or with someone for no reason but survival, often someone she despised. The casual and comfortable pacing of One Piece is a good thing. You could argue all that happened this episode was they landed at Skypiea's Angel beach, we met Conis and Pagoya, we got some world building, and Nami got foreshadowed to be in trouble. I think this was a comfortable pace to explore this brand new island, for if this anime was fast paced and that section only took half of it then it would be much harder to watch as a part of your daily life, it would be a much less pleasant watch for a 900 episode show. That said, if it was faster paced it would be less than 900 episodes and I do think some parts like some of Alabasta could have been tighter, but overall episodes like this are a good thing. So dials are a form of technology. I bet it would change the world if they brought it down to their world. Zoro's legs looked like they were cut off O_O WTH when did that happen O_o? ooohh never noticed it either that they put those details in. The wounds on his legs are from when he (and nami+vivi) were trapped by Mr 3's Candle Set on little garden(ep 74-75) . Zoro stated that he was going to cut his legs off so he could be free to fight, later saying he already cut half through them :D One amazing part of One Piece is how we see the crew grow from the ground up. We understand their pasts, their motivations, their development, the meaning of their clothing and where they got it, their ship and the changes to it, the weapons or fighting style they use and why, and even the scars they have. The care put into this blows something like "I wonder if he can float.", "Nope.", "He sank". That casual dialogue between Sanji and Zoro about Luffy drowning made me laugh. |
| Skypiea's a very fascinating place and their sea life is definitely one of the most useful ones out there. Nami's wandering off to places she shouldn't go to but I ain't gonna say no to some action~ |

| This is a wild arc so far. Definitely one the most unique. Everyone reaction at the beginning was so joyful. But very interesting were this is going with God and the Angles. I wonder that the big conflict of this arc will be. |
