| I literally started watching Gintama because of Sakura Mitsutsuki (this arc's opening song). After more than a year, I've finally made it to this arc. And I'll have to say that, despite the fact that it had the best opening song, it was my favourite Gintama arc (and I love Gintama). Hyped to see the movie now and more about Shoyo! P.S. When the arc ended I was like "PLAY THE SONG OMFG"...then it played and I burst into tears like a kid singing along hahahah |

| Great conclusion to the arc. The ending was really touching. I'm basically the opposite of a softie yet it almost brought me to tears. It was also pretty interesting hearing all of the political tension shit this episode. Hopefully, it gets handled well, as I can see it is a very interesting aspect to be expanded upon in the future of the show. No preview for next week, but I'm still hyped! Also, am I the only one who is loving the movie segments at the end of each episode? |
| What an amazing arc. There is even a bigger plot which has yet to unfold. Those two are finally reunited... cutting off both his arms was so cruel. No promise, no nothing... but their love story finally ended on a heartwarming note. Everyone here was spectacular and the comedy didn't ruin any serious moment. |

| Beautiful conclusion. Shogun quitting would've been an interesting change in the series but I guess he's staying for now. Amazing moments during this arc, just like the previous arc, we see the connections everyone has with each other, the bonds Gin has made, they're way too strong! |

| Beautiful conclusion to the best arc so far. Takasugi killing that bastard was great, he finally got what he deserved. Loved the kick the can scene and how everyone was involved in it. The ending was so emotional with them finally reunited, it brought tears to my eyes <3 |

| Such an amazing arc! This surely become one of my favorite arcs in Gintama. The fight scenes and story are solid especially as it started to reveal some about the main plot. I love all episodes of it. And yes for Takasugi doing the deed, I loved him for that LMAO. |

| No, you are crying! This small season of Gintama is something else. Sure, the episodic nature of the show seems to have been gradually transforming itself into a full fledged action shounen narrative where the end of a story arc hints at the next big event. Knowing today that Gintama ended and went in that direction, I believe the author did the best he could. This might have pissed a few fans of the comedic nature of Gintama, but all good thing have to end eventually, and the world of Gintama is so rich with so many colourful characters, that it would have been a shame if the serious nature of Gintama had not been explored. Because you see, the investment we put on these characters over the years only makes them even more memorable and the whole world of Gintama becomes not only fun and entertaining, but also deep and meaningful. And the comedy has not been lost! Its just more spread out, flowing together with good character development and an engaging story-line! For me, this evolution is a treat that not many series can pull off. I was truly mesmerized by the sheer quality of this story arc, that even years of not posting regularly on these boards, it created this urge in me of writing down the feelings this episode and overall arc evoked. Truly, outstanding series amidst the mediocrity of series out there. The more I watch it, the more I understand the invasion of Gintama titles in the Top anime of Mal xD (even if I agree the ranking system is flawed) |

| This arc is amazing from start to end. Hell yeah Takasugi killed that fat bastard. I am glad that I continued Gintama after put it on hold for 2-3 months. |

| This arc made me tear up a little bit. A well executed arc for sure. Seems like everyone is after each other. Tendoshu is after Shoyo's students, The other faction is after the Shogun Position, Gin is doing whatever he feels like to do. It's a treeway or even more battle. Nobume was also a member of the Nakara, no wonder tho. She's fucking strong. Shinsuke appeared too, seems like it's a good time to overthrow the bafuku. And Gin-chan, Kagura, Shinpachi, Tsu, Shogun, Shinsengumi and the rest managed to bring the two love doves together. Wholesome and heartbreaking arc, full of action and funny moments. 10/10 |

| Outstanding quality finale for this arc, loved chemistry between the characters more than anything else, I'd say that this is one of the best if not the best arcs so far, just greatness on many levels |
| So far till this point, this is definitely my favorite arc in Gintama so far. A great balance of comedy and serious content, emotional moments, big reveals, tense scenes and action sequences, a great and touching ending, and a lot of heart and soul mixed with them all. All wrapped up in 5 incredible episodes from start to finish in such a consistent manner. Gintama's produced some fantastic arcs but for the first 260ish episodes, this has definitely been the best so far. Stands to be one of my top 3 Gintama arcs overall alongside what's to come later on in the next season. Plus, it made me love Tsukuyo and Nobume a lot more too, I enjoy those two more than most Gintama female characters out there so having them be together in this arc alongside the main crew is great. |
| It was a nice conclusion for those 2 but it wasn't that emotional. However the political game in this episode was great, Takasugi is here!!! For me the climax of this episode was seeing Gintoki and Takasugi pass each others while being aware of it, but Takasugi didn't do anything because of how beaten up Gintoki was. And again, WHERE IS KATSURA!! There has to be a joke about this in the next episode. Seems like Nobume is much better than I thought which makes me happy and Isaburo is just as interesting. Overall a great arc that might be my favorite after Four Devas. |
