Imo, it felt like watching a Disney movie; where everything is reversed and they all live happily ever after. I also felt that due to the combined episodes of both series, that it was all dragged out for way too long. I do think it's the best anime in the world for "Slice of Life". Day to day activities are heavily emphasised, and pulled off very well. I'm also a huge fan of the comedy whenever it shows its face, but I really felt like the romance was lacking. I found it hard to accept that they actually loved eachother, as evidence of this was rarely shown. Plus the reset button ending really crushed any attempts at 'tragedy'. | Kanon '06 is easily the tops of the list. Clannad first season kills After Story, despite the fail I've seen in this thread trying to say otherwise. Air was just mediocre at best. Angel Beats is trash amongst garbage. How the hell it was so well received is beyond me. |

| yup, definitely Clannad After Story. The only parts of Kanon that made me sad, were episode 10, and the Ayu parts. As for Air, yes it was sad, but the characters weren't fleshed out enough to genuinely make me sad when...stuff happened. . I'm not really sure what to say about Angel Beats. it did make me cry, i admit that. That being said however, it wasn't generally sad per say. Bleak , certainly, And definitely somewhat depressing, but not terribly sad. |

| Clannad and Clannad After Story are the better ones. Angel Beats isn't as good but still worth a watch. Kanon and Air are pretty underwhelming and forgettable. Air is the worst one of the bunch though, it's just consistently bad all the way through. |

| Clannad After Story> Kanon(2006)>Angel Beats!> Clannad Season 1 Have yet to seen Air. Clannad S1 was pretty hard to watch, dragged through it just to get the back-story for AS. S1 didn't feel different from similar anime of the genre at all. Angel Beats! got me going, but due to being limited by so few episodes it felt a bit quick and has a few plot-holes, still got dem feels though. As for AS and Kanon, they're damn good. |

| Clannad After Story over the others. I didn't find Kanon 2006 so enjoyable because I already knew everything 'cause I watched the 2002 version before I started watching the 2006 version. I liked Air a lot and have a soft spot for it even though I know it has lots of flaws. Probably because it was the first series from Key I watched and because I watched it while still new to anime. Was a bit disappointed in Clannad after the first season ended before I knew there would be a season 2, because I heard that it was supposed to be so sad and I didn't really find the ending arc of the first series to be so sad. Love it now though :) Clannad & After story, Air, and a tie between Kanon 2006 and Angel Beats |
