| Damn this animation is rough, so many still frames, 5 fps fight scenes. The last anime iv'e watched was Chainsaw Man, and i know i shouldnt compare the 2, but damn does the animation in Edgerunners feel lazy and all over the place. Story is decent so far though. |

| Unimpressed. Extremely rushed and emotional beats are horrible. A twenty-five episode series would've done this series wonders, from a character writing standpoint. I'd compare this to Bleach. Style over substance. Even then, at least Bleach tried to give character development. I love the style, animation, music, even the characters are cool. It's just hard to get attached, when they just die before we know much about them, lol. |

| Oh hell nah, didn't expect Maine to go cyber psycho. Poor Dorio got caught in the crossfire. Rip Maine and Dorio. Other than David and Lucy, only Rebecca is left now. Is Kiwi even alive anymore or was she in the building when the blast took place? David's look of sheer loss and shock is so sad. It's kind of an iconic image from this show. Bro ain't nobody got plot armour in this show 😭💀 |

| I really wish this show was longer, because like some people already said it’s a bit hard to feel sad for a character I’ve known for at most 4 episodes? regardless I still am enjoying this show for what it is |

| A lot of strong artwork and colours in this one. Maine succumbing to Cyberpsychosis was something destined to happen, considering how much of a threat this has been built up for David, and the discussion of David taking his hands once Maine kicks it, but I didn't really expect it to come so close. I think episode 4's mixed montage did a good job of expressing the bond David formed with them, as well as conveying a decent amount of time passage, but considering we've really only known Maine for four episodes, I don't know, I just didn't feel that emotional during this at all. I liked Maine fine, he seemed like a cool bro, but there really wasn't much too him beyond that, so this episode lacks a lot of the impact it seemed to have for everyone else. Can't particularly say I care too much for the series' action either, though I do appreciate how graphic it's willing to get. Some gnarly stuff in here. |
| Pretty chaotic narrative at the beginning of the episode, though as always. Dave should have listened to Lucy, not gone to save Maine. |

| I'm gonna have to agree with a lot of other people in the thread. This anime feels way too rushed and I am not sure why it is so hyped. I understand they don't have much episodes to work with, but that is exactly why they should have planned things out better within that episode amount in mind. Even the romance between David and Lucy is rushed and it's hard to understand or believe they even like each other. She went from betraying him to loving him so quickly. Maine was fine before and now all of a sudden he gets psychosis. There is no buildup to anything in this story, things just happen and damn if you don't get a reason for it. Yet this is highly rated? lmao.... just goes to show you most anime watchers prefer style or substance.. |

| Man 3 deaths in one episode!! This was a sad one, I can't believe Maine killed Dorio, which I'm assuming was Maine's wife? Crazy that Maine was able to have a normal conversation with David during his cyberpsychosis and told him to run away. I wonder what Maine's flashbacks were about. |
