This explains the situation of Aries, looks like Charce lied about a big part of his background story but part of it was true sadly...

First real injury this episode, I wonder why the heck Kanata sticked out his hand into it but yeah at least Charce stopped it in time before they would be thrown into space again

I wonder how the heck they are going to end this all in the last episode

That is one hell of a twist, I have goosebumps all over geez.

The real parents in this show are fucking pieces of shit, the truly good human beings are the teacher, the brother and the handmaid. That Aries and her mom scene nearly got me crying. Charce you freaking stubborn bastard, Kanata had to sacrifice his arm to beat some sense into your head.

What an episode, 10/10.

The scene where Kanata lost his arm and said : You'll be my right arm, it was astonishing tbh, loved this scene so much, gave me chills, and then the music started as well. Perfectly crafted.

To be honest after the previous 10 episodes I thought this show would be too afraid to shed any blood but I'm glad to be proven wrong.
I'm guessing the lost arm won't be too big of a problem on Astra, though. At this point prostheses are probably both well-developed and not that hard to get, right?

Good to find out who the would-be killer was and get more background info on Charce. But I hate that whole power of friendship crap that was the second half of the episode.

Friendship will always win!! I'm sure that Charce already treat them as friends.. that's why I don't want to believe there's impostor who wants to kill. They surpass all hardships together and they got close together so it's impossible to betray each other!

The Aries reveal would've been more satisfying if they had been more subtle with the hints for it in previous episodes. It was kind of obvious she was Seira's clone ever since the flashback was first shown and they clearly had the same voice actress (not to mention the backwards name)

I know damn well i'm a year late lmao but charce did say at some point " it's like we're parent and a child" although it doesn't mean that exactly but still that was a good foreshadowing

Did anyone notice bossun and himeko back there?

I noticed it the first time I watched. Rather strange but turns out they have the same author.

I really like name drops, my favourite being one by Eren Yaeger himself.
I really like the foreshadowing in this one. I thought those initial episodes were very slow and thought I was wasting my time. Now it feels good to know I wasn't.

Anime was it's best 20000 years ago, when cavemen drew art with real depth.
Modern anime is all garbage. I miss great old days of anime.

I'm really amazed by this story. This is friendship!
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Lol power of friendship. How many times charCe changed his mind. If it has had to come to this, at least the arm could've saved.

Made me drop some ratings.

Yoooooo what an episode! Charce's real backstory wasn't bad. Knowing that he was gonna be used for the king and living on borrowed time. And Aries just being Seira backwards makes me feel kinda dumb for not noticing. And here I thought she'd be the traitor; but being a clone of the king's daughter will suffice. And Kanata losing his arm in order to help Charce was a pretty noble sacrifice.

Definitely hyped to see how this series ends.

friendship beats daddy issues! Actually that's true for literally every male character lol

I laughed a little bit when la croix basically said "yeah I'm planning on committing suicide" and kanata just punched him 😭 gotta love shounen problem solving

Holy shit, I was expecting some plot armour magic but he straight up lost his fucking arm, jesus.

Now that's a true bro, the pun at the end kinda ended the episode on an unexpectedly lighthearted note too lol.

Okay, what? LOL You're telling me Charce had a second device to create wormholes? Why tf does he even have a second one? And he even has a special compartment for it? And why tf did Kanata reach out to the wormhole as if he was going to stop it? That felt really dumb 🤦‍♂️

Overall this was an alright episode but I get the feeling a lot is going to be left unanswered and swept under the rug. There's only one episode left

Why did bro stick his hand out to the wormhole 💀
He better get a bionic arm once they get back to Astra, it’d suck if he would have to live permanently disabled.

I've been really enjoying this anime because it's made me feel really smart for predicting the twists before they happen.

So how the fuck did the I miss that Seira is Aries backwards!

Nice job tying together a complex series of events to tie things up. Kanata always running, giving so much of himself- and now literally giving a piece of himself- to save his friends. A good job with character and story development but I do think it's time to wrap this up.

Anime rarely makes me cry. Because it's difficult to write characters that feel human, that you feel connected to. Kanata no Astra's characters might not be the most human characters I've seen but they are way more than enough to make me love them and feel connected.

After Charce revealed his true past, what did the crew do? They understood him, they accepted him. Kanata sacrificed his arm to save himm from ending himself. Charce didn't attempt everything for no reason either. He's someone that's been told he can't have a purpose to live, he is not a person, he should live just to serve the king. How do you even react when you are told the opposite? Yes, I feel a little embarassed to say but I cried.

my feelings on this episode are "oh f*ck, oh f*ck! We gotta explain this plot quick." They answer the questions hanging in the air, but at what cost? (The cost is however much a 2nd cour of animation would have cost to keep pace with the rest of the anime in order to reveal this shit naturally.)

Also Kanata's sacrifice was very unexpected, but very emotional.
I thought what I'd do was pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
