| I love the manga so I found that the episode was great. I didn't check the cast, though, so OnoD not voicing Sei surprised me, but I love Zakki, so not really complaining. He did a really good job. Also, yay Hosoyan! |
| This was far below expectations. The first half felt so forced, I cringed the entire time. A horrible way to introduce new people to Handa-kun. It got better with the second part, but not resolving the plot within this episode is another minus for me. Making a horrible joke at the end about them wasting the first half didn't really help... Will stick with the manga, doesn't really seem like Diomedea can quite capture Handa-kuns awesomeness. |

| This was unexpectedly lame. Where is Daisuke Ono? He's the only one who can do Handa well, Nobunaga got nothing of that. It's not just that, the show is trying too hard with its comedy, I could not smile even once. Also the 4 friends minus the normal one are super-annoying. I was looking forward to Daisuke's glorious voice-acting even more because of their lame drama, but it turns out its a different seiyuu, tyvm 4/10 right from the start |

| Comments while I watch That beginning part before the opening (Which was good) was painfully unfunny. Ugh. Handa talking about his Middle School experiences makes me sad. :( Can relate somewhat to being not so popular during that shitty time in life. Maiko = Adorable. Her friend with the gigantic head = Sexy as hell. God damnit Handa... I love some misunderstanding comedy. Made me absolutely adore Mitsudomoe. Thank god I didn't insta drop this after those few minutes at the start, this is freaking hilarious. Dear God, the Handa Force shit is painful. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall the other stuff outside of the Handa Force crap was awesome. I'm afraid though that they will not stay in the background moving forward and these painful skits will continue to torture me. OP song was good ED was nice. Not a huge fan of not having OnoDai voicing Handa, but I think I'll get used to it. 4/5 |

| I got confused because it was about calligraphy and the guy's name was similar to the guy in Barakamon, I had no idea it was supposed to be a prequel. I thought it was a different show entirely. It's not bad as a standalone show. I definitely wouldn't call it a prequel though since Handa has a different VA. Also, they never really talked about how he was in HS in the original anime. I'm sure Daisuke Ono could've still done the voice. It's not like this Handa has a livelier voice. It's pretty funny. Juri is like a refrigerator. -_- |

 My reaction during the episode Seriously though, the first half gave me tons of cringe, and althought the actual episode was better, it will deliver something more than just Handa's social awkwardness. Speaking of which, is this run even canon? |

| I don't watch alot of Gag anime so I didn't know what to expect from this one but this episode was quite funny. Especially the second part when he told the HOT sensei that answering her question was a waste of time XD. Poor sensei. Nice episode. |
| Well that's one of many way to break fourth wall xD I like it, for first episode pretty decent I haven't read the manga yet, but I did read Barakamon, so I kinda know what to expect OnoD's Handa-kun is attached to my mind, Zakki's hmm he sounds younger.. sure But I didn't really understand the purpose of different seiyuu Studio thingy I guess? From this forum.. I guess so many people didn't like it.. Especially the first half eh Well if it's different from manga I guess it's pretty creative to me.. But that's just my opinion Well... I'm not going to complain too much and just enjoy anime like I always do xD Don't really care about other people/critics Note : You can't become popular when you're a loner in real life.. That's just how it worked in real life xD |

| OKay, that was horrendous. Its one thing to make a prequel ova a few episodes long, but a full prequel was not too thrilling an idea when I first heard about this. I tried to maintain calm and be positive, but...I have just seen too much anime, and other forms of media in my life, and thus should never have doubted myself... THis sucked, nothing like the hsow, obviously since it was in such formative years of Handa's...still, though, I feel there wont be a proper TRUE sequel to barakamon due to this tripe having come out. I will continue to watch, as tis my duty as a veteran otaku( not quite a master, but in another year or two, maybe). WHY!!!? WHY?! LE TRASH SHOW?! T>T |

| Hmm I think I dislike the traditional Japanese straight man gag now. I worry I may not be able to rewatch Gintama now. But this is definitely not what I expected based off Barakmon. |
