Giant list incoming:
  • Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai- mostly falls under comedy but there's some romance on the side later on (especially in the second season)
  • Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai- I thought it was really funny, romance is cute, and there's gif-worth material everywhere
  • Hataraku Maou-sama!- My personal favorite show from last season. Really funny and when there's action scenes, they're pretty epic. While there is romance, I'd consider this to lean more towards the comedy side of the "romantic comedy" genre.
  • Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The World God Only Knows)- This one is pretty awesome and is definitely one of those shows that screams romantic comedy, unfortunately I don't get to reccommed this very often since most people have already watched it (so thanks I guess?). The third season is currently airing and I'm loving it (even though sadly they skipped a few conquests).
  • MM!- This one is really weird but absolutely hilarious.
  • Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai- While this isn't officially listed as a romance, there is romance in it.
  • Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo- Really good but pretty heavy on the drama later on. It's made by the same people who made Toradora! and there's Palmtop Tiger references lol
  • Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.- This one was pretty popular last season and is pretty good. The main character is unique and awesome.

On top of Newmn84's list, I'd like to add Mayo Chiki, which I found to be quite entertaining.

Your top stuff seems to all have a "wow" factor, climactic, dramatic, emotionally moving, thought-provoking. As opposed to anything genre specific like funny, romantic, action, or anything with a particular theme. So some other stuff with that sort of awesomeness I think you'd like would be:

Mononoke Hime
ef: A Tale of Memories.

Any recommendations for me based on my top 10 or the anime I've rated 8 and above? If it's already in my PTW list, I can check it out before the other ones.

Thanks.

Since you like Gosick and have already put it in your to watch list I'd say you should check out Kamisama no Memochou. IN some ways the shows are extremely similar but the setting is completely different and, to me, KnM felt a lot darker, especially towards the end.

Utawarerumono, strategic large scale battles

Mobile Suit Gundam 00, mecha, feels, and people trying to make a better world through different means which brings them into conflict with one another.

One Outs is a good Psychological anime
Kuroshitsuji [This one is already in your "plan to watch list"]

Also I recommend these anime beneath, that in my opinion are anime that come close to code geass (at least to create there own ideal nation/country and fight for there belief)

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
Legend of the Galactic
Break blade

If you liked Sakurasou, then you'll probably also like Toradora!. Both are romantic comedy dramas and are both made by the same company (there are actually references to Toradora! in Sakurasou lol)

Though I can't put my finger on something based directly on your favourites, judging by your list, I think you mayl like some of these:

Brigadoon
Flag
Glass Mask
Glass Rabbit
Hataraki Man
Michiko to hatchin
Oh! Edo Rocket
Shigurui
Sound of the Sky

There is a bit of variety in genres here to suit any time of day. I hope this helps. :D

Maybe try Kara no Kyoukai movies, and if You do, watch them in normal order, don't try to look for chronological. There's a reason why it's made that way.

Kanon is similar to Clannad, they are both a little harem/slice of lifey but at their core, story driven. They are also both originally adapted from visual novels by Key as well.

For Code Geass, you might enjoy Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, because they were both shocking disappointments for half of the show, and pure awesome for the rest. Though while Code Geass is all about fighting intellectually and tactically, TTGL is all about shouting louder than the other person and trying to be manly.

Someone else might be able to give you a proper rec for CG as it wasn't really my cup of tea, or you can check the user recommendations if you choose to as well/instead.

For Code Geass, its not as serious, and has some romance, but Eureka Seven, and Full Metal Panic (a mecha, but also a school life one, but a little more on the lighthearted side), But a good one like code Geass is Guilty Crown. I can't really say anything is close to Clannad, but try Sukitte Li na yo, try Tokimeki Memorial as well, i think it was similar, but has been a while.
