| I take back what I said in the other threads about how I hate these twins, this final episode made it all worth it! Balalaika is one cold hearted woman, I'd hate to cross her. | Best arc i've seen in any anime in ages... The start of the second season started off very strongly with the two 'vampire twins'. - the twins in the beginning were hatable killing machines, however by the end I really pitied them for what they have become due to their fked up past. - anyone unfortunate enough to piss Balalaika off, will get the fken guillotine. This arc made Balalaika jump to the top of my favourite 'female' casts in any anime for her wits and "badassery". 11/10 for flawless execution of an episode. |

| to be fair, that was the most humane thing to do to her/him/it... wasn't human anymore, after all.. she said to rock all she did was kill. no one was nice to her. she just liked to kill. (ally or enemy it didn't matter). first time i've seen revy actually hit the maternal instinct with rock though... that was protective and then some. rock will learn, not everybody can be saved. most don't wanna be saved. it's the life they've always known, no matter how ****ed up it was. the fact they tortured that "collector" long after he was dead was just 'normal' for them. (i did like the different ending as well) |

| Great episode...it's sad how those kids turned out the way they were due to the cruel circumstances they had faced, and that ending, WTF i did'nt expect that...nice ED song btw. |
| They messed with Balalaika (probably the most dangerous woman on the planet) and the Russian mafia. There was no other ending for these kids. |

| Just read through the comments on this thread and it amazes me how many people are wondering "what did she show Rock that made him sick?". I think it was pretty obvious that the reason Rock got pissed/sick is because the first thing she wanted to reward him for being nice to her was sex. Just shows the fucked up childhood these twins had to go through. |

| Fuck... Just fuck... I don't know where to start... This fucking episode was just bloddy awesome. Balalaika showing her most crude and badass face, proving for once and for all that among the rest of the gang leaders in the city she is, by far, rhe most dangerous. And those bloody twins have probable the most fucking tragic background i've seen so far in the series. I mean... come on... how tormented can a character be? The conversation with rock was disturbing as hell, and the fate of the poor child almost brought me into tears... How good can this series become?! |

Also, when Gretel dropped panties on that boat..as a pervert that loves Anime girls, I would of likely accepted her "offer" instantly. |

| I really like Rock's expression when he snapped, it's unusual from his "clueless" expression. The ending song really catch my ears, this time I didn't skip it. |

2 kids with the same splitted personality, that alone is a great idea. And making Hotel Moscow and Lagoon face each other is even better. Great episode, great characters, surprising deaths, really sad.  |

| Probably the darkest 3 episodes I've ever seen in any anime so far. It was quite disturbing in places and brutal in others. This was a great arc but I'm glad the show didn't go this dark again. |

| As far as I'm concerned, the highlight of this anime is how different Rock is from the rest of the characters, and how he has maintained a sense of uncorrupted goodness. I love that, and it was used in this episode with beautiful effect during the scene in the ship with Rock and the second twin. How often do we watch an action packed, explosive, gun-fest of a show and just see people dying left and right while not really thinking anything of it? Well, I know that I personally tend to get caught up in things like that, to the point where I get numb to the violence. I think the scene with Rock and the second twin was a bit of self aware reflection, perhaps talking outward to the audience. For all the times when we can get psyched up and numbed to the death and destruction of a show like this, there *needs* to be a character like Rock. He serves to slow things down and remind both the audience and the other characters that all this action and death may be exciting, but it is not normal or good. He is the call to return to sanity. I almost want to say that this one scene kind of sums up the dynamic of the entire show, with their conversational exchange, followed up by Revy punching the twin in the face. |
