| Humm... To me I thought they didn't do the anime in order... 'The Day of Sagittarius' story was in book five wasn't it? Maybe season two is going to be even more of a mix, with the disappearance as the climax point? I mean, it may make it qualified to run longer than the first anime, but then again time lines would be even more skewed xD |

| True about "Day of Sagittarius", but for the most part the first season followed the first book. "Mysterique Island" was from a later book, too. It's not like they knew they were going to get more than one season, let alone the idea of having one for every book. They needed only a few more episodes worth of material, and the shorter stories from later volumes worked for that. I'm expecting the second season to be all book 4 since the story was so long. I want to know WTF the next book is coming out. |

| Mou ikkai. 1. KyoAni states that the next season of Haruhi is not going to be made. 2. In the same breath KyoAni states that they will make another series based on the Haruhi franchise named after the fourth book. 3. Why they do this, no one knows, but there will be more Haruhi in the future, and it will with very high probability be a sequel to the first series. 4. Not calling it a new season is kosher because KyoAni states it isn't. It's stipulated. It probably doesn't mean anything. 5. It's not a hoax, it's just silly marketing and director-shuffling or something - they haven't given us any reasons, but it's just a play on definition-type. Now someone kill this thread, murder it and let its corpse sink underground. And let us all praise the mighty longhaired Haruhi who art in production hell. |

| This topic isn't dead yet? After reading this (back earlier sometime) I decided to read the light novels. If they're making Disappearance, it's going to be considerably more epic than the first season was. And all the concept art points towards that. |
