The first season of Pokemon. Just the English opening theme makes me want to shed tears of fond memories long gone.

I actually got my first copy of Blue Version just days after seeing the anime for the first time. "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad" was the episode I first saw. KFC was giving out Pokemon Beanbag plushies. I got Vulpix. <3

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

30 times? If you watched it that many times then you must really love Elfen Lied. Cant blame you though it is a great anime.

Even though I finished it less than two years ago, Neon Genesis Evangelion makes me feel the most nostalgic, mostly because of the 90's animation and the subject matter, which I can heavily relate to. However, DBZ and Pokemon, like a lot of others, also give me a good sense of nostalgia.

Elfen lied has to be the most horrible shit ever.

Anyhow, probably Pokemon, Naruto and Inuyasha since I would always watch those when I was younger *o*

Digimon too = u=

For me it's Berserk and One Piece. They are the anime I started out with and will most definitely always remain in my top favorites.

Quoted for truth and bolded for extra emphasis. I usually try not to specifically hate on an anime series but damn if it ain't the most bloated, overrated little anime I've ever seen. A 12 year old could write a better story and wouldn't even need to include the whole shock value shindig just to make a lame story seem cool.

I can't narrow it down to one. Though some of my most nostalgic anime would have to be Hunter x Hunter (the opening song kills me), Yu Yu Hakusho, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Digimon (the first two seasons). I did also watch DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh (played the card game), and Pokemon (played the original on Gameboy) but it never really grew on me the way the others did.

Back then I used to be completely obsessed with it. I don't love it nearly as much and wouldn't call it a great anime but I also wouldn't say it's the most horrible shit ever. But let's not turn this into an Elfen Lied love/hate thread.

I know this will sound completely cliche to the common demographics found on these forums, but season 1 of Pokemon is very nostalgic for me.

At a time I had the complete dialogue for episode 1 memorized. I happily owned the VHS tape. Still have it, in fact.

Gotta go with the common 3 as well DBZ, Pokemon and Digimon. I still love the first openings. The early One Piece gets a mention since I'm watching that since 8 years as well. Still airing might disqualify nostalgia tho :D

Inuyasha for sure. Every time I listen to any of the OST songs I just die a little bit inside. CCS is a close second, though. Also, the Pokemon movies - especially Spell of the Unown and Mewtwo Returns. Oh, right, and Spirited Away. Saw it when I was around six for the first time and fell in love with it.

Inuyasha. I grew up watching that shit.
Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Detective Conan too.
As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all.

Outlaw Star gives me a galaxy load of nostalgia.

Also Digimon Tamers gives me nostalgia from when I was just a kid. Yeah, monsters and card games were a big thing for me and my peers back then.

Oh, and this show makes me want to say aah for nostalgia.

Well, puting aside Pokemon and Digimon and any other anime I watched during my childhood... Ouran High School Host Club and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. They were the first two slice-of-life anime I had ever watched; Ouran was my first shoujo. Those shows sure do bring back memories.
