| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Best episode of the series so far.. there's no doubt. 62-60! That was so close! Sakuragi's dunk was awesome and I think he should've got the bucket and the harm. He shut everyone up for a good 10 seconds! The foul-out streak continues. :D The last minute and a half was intense. Probably the most accurate timing of the show so far too. xD Either way, I was on the edge of my seat. Great last plays by the subs too. So amazing! :) |

| Wooooohoooooo!!!! Amazing episode, hanamichi won over the crowd. I still remember that i used to watch this series when i was like 7, until the tv turned into crap, with no more anime or at least decent cartoons in Argentina. God bless the internet for quality entertaintment! |

| The pay off of finally seeing Sakuragi do it! That dunk was incredible, not just because Sakuragi finally had his moment to shine, but because he was able to push two giants back with it. Also loved his reaction, instead of putting up airs he had a realization of what it felt like to finally hang from the rim. Wonder if it was the spark that was needed to finally see him develop. The highlights at the end were great, and I definitely felt for Shoyo. Everyone put their all into that match and there's nothing but respect for every player that went on that court. |

| That was close. pretty damn close. Sakuragi almost had the slam dunk. I lol'd at Ayako because I had the same exact thought. I was expecting of Sakuragi bragging about his geniusness after. He did not. weird. It finally ended, Shohoku vs Shoyo. That was awesome. Well played Shoyo. |

| Amazing episode! It is a pity for Hanamichi though, he performed that amazing dunk but he fouled. :/ I like how Ryota plays, he is pretty quick to act, and his height can be used for an advantage since he's pretty fast. Mitsui also contributed a lot in this game, 20 baskets and 15 of them being 3 pointers. Megane-kun was also decisive with his slight ball touch, which changed the trajectory of the ball. 5/5!! |

| That was some awesome play by Sakuragi, even though it didn't count in the end. If Haruko falls for Sakuragi, now that he's becoming better and better at basketball, for me she will officially became a very garbage and shit character. |

| I agree with everybody sentiments: best episode by far! When Sakuragi got the steal and was going to the basket, I was getting nervous for the dude. Then when they took a break in the middle of his fast break, it was perfect tension builder (thankfully I don't have to deal with commercials). Think it was a little lame he was called for a foul. The best part was how serious the show took this moment and Sakuragi did not go into "Genius" mode. You could see he is starting to fall in love with the game of basketball and not thinking about doing this for Haruko. Very well done. Cannot wait for the finals. |
| OK. Wow. It was nice seeing Sakuragi have his moment, even if he fouled and it didn't count. It was also really cool to see the subs actually doing something, since we don't see much of them playing at all. And poor Shoyo man. They put up a really good fight though. Like pretty much everyone else is saying, easily the best episode of the show thus far. |
| Glad that it ended it was dragged way too much regardless of that it had a lot of great scenes and they had quite a good impact. |
| I remember when you said there would be a big Slam Dunk by Sakuragi-kun, and it took 46 episodes for it to happen...and you totally redeemed yourself! Shoyo's manly tears. Also pretty sure a team wouldn't be able to sleep in a locker room after a game. Today athletes (and then) are so hyped up on Redbull and coffee that many of them have trouble sleeping at all after a game. Flying doesn't help either. Also they shut them out for two whole minutes! Is that possible? I thought their point guard was magic? Were they that struck by the star power of the bench and Sakuragi-kun? That's some epic defense, to win by two points. Sleeping after a game, that's cute. It's got to be impossible for the body to shut it down after such an extreme tournament game. |

| Rukawa is truly the Ace of Shohoku! Finally! Sakuragi making a Slam Dunk!! Also, that should not be a foul, Hanagata and the other guy tried to contest the shot. So that should be a foul on their end. It's just a stupid way to have Sakuragi foul out. Shohoku really pulled this off!! If Fujiyama had played in the first half, then maybe they would have won. I really love how in Japan. They have the players line up and congratulate each other. No matter how much they want to win and beat the other team or so. It's still a game at the end of the day and everyone should still respect each other afterwards. On to the next arc!! |

| my favourite episode so far. sakuragi'slam dunk was fire, tho its a bit disappointing they ruled it out but hanamichi's reaction made up for it. also the op playing at the end was great as well. |
