| Sounds like a vengeful sick lady. I smell treason as being a main factor for a curse in regards to how her death occurred. Perhaps a man leaving her caused her a great depression that made her kill herself may be one example of the many that are responsible for making her that way she is to be shown in this episode. One thing I like about this how is how the occult is in masses in this series. I like the occult's mysterious themes so it's really a good factor for me in this series. |

| Good episode. I thought the opening they used was a little weird though. Huey is turning out to be another likable character. Dalian is just another loli detective with a tsudere attitude (not that it's a bad thing). |

| OP is awesome. I like it. Other than that, I feel like in some sense this is way too similar to Gosick. Oh well, at least there's a decent amount of action. Pretty good show. I'll stick with it. |

| I have to agree with the Gosick similarities since they are set up in a very similar matter. However, this show is actually good and has likable characters. It's definitely one of my favorites of the Summer 2011 season. |

| its amazing to me how calm Huey and Dalian can be in dangerous situations. The pacing is pretty fast. kinda wish they would slow down a little. Anyways, that lady is insane! Creeps me out |

| Invoking Baal to smite a golem--loved it, particularly the cuniform inscriptions on the tablet. It also looked like they were reading from one of Mysteries in order to raise the Aegis to shield them from the first attacks. The writers for this show have obviously done a bit more research than we usually see. I'm looking forward to episode number four...is it Lillith, Inanna or Hecate? |

| Good episode. Maybe Estella's family members were cursed because her female ancestors killed people, too. So Huey needs the key Dalian gave her to use the magic spells of another Phantom Book to seal a forbidden book down? Maybe there are too many magic chants, but the series is quite OK. I liked the idea that this time the book was a carillon. I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode. |
| Not a bad episode. Though there is something seriously missing to me. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's not horrible but it isn't really good either. Dalian is certainly cute. (So far much more likable then Victorica) and Huey is also nice. Though there hasn't been anything really about them either. Huey is kind of boring honestly I hope they spice up his personality a bit. I don't know...it's hard to put my finger on what it is... Also the opening song didn't really fit with the animation in the opening IMO. |

| Well, that is one hell of a strange OP. I can't even say it's unfitting. And I still claim that Sawashiro Miyuki speaks with a slightly too high-pitched. Oh, and dat "Yes" still sounds really, really weird. Anyway, I kinda liked it how Huey was nonchalantly walking around with that knife seemingly in his stomach. It was lulzy. And do we have to repeat the scene where Huey puts the key in Dalian every time? It's kind of a transformation scene, seeing how it takes time as if it were one. Speaking of which, dohoho, Dalian's got a pretty hairy chest. ( ¬‿¬) |

| The anime as a whole is good enough, it is quite fun to watch. Though they seem to be pushing through the story pretty fast and are having pacing issues, since they are restricted to just 13 episodes and they seem to want to cram in as much as they can. Also it seems to be another one of those animes that ignores the concept of time quite alot, such as in the fight scenes when he reads or the falling clock tower. They could of easily fixed the part where he read this time since he had the shield up but for some reason they decided to brind it down while he did the second one, that just screwed up the flow while he stood there reading the golem should of been going for him. They could of at least made him move about dodging reading a bit at a time when he had the chance or simply just left the sheild up. They also just decided to ignore the falling clock tower at the end to have a conversation then leave somehow before the clock crushed them. This is the biggest problem with this anime it is ignoring time to much. Apart from that is is quite good |

| It's definitely not the most original anime but it manages to avoid most annoyances and maintains a pleasent mood. I also don't see why people call her the next loli detective, since she doesn't realy solve anything and only offers her knowledge and powers. That's already better than Gosick's pretentious mystery and annoying characters. What realy stands out is the well done music and sound effects. If they add some new ideas to the next episodes instead of redoing the monster of the week formular, this could become a good show. |
| Well leaving the repetition aside, the fight was pretty epic. I just hope it won't be like this until the end. Also, Dalian. <3 |

| fuck 360p crap quality... it's ruining the show... anyway, the op is quite good... last time i encountered Latin in an anime op was in Elfen Lied's Lilium, and it was awesome... somehow i feel this is quite repetitive... is reading random passages really the only way to defeat the enemies? i want some action scenes, not some boring verse recitation... |

| Book reading pace and reused animation of Dalian aside, good episode. Huey is a bit too calm though. Not sure about that in the long run. I can never get tired of Dalian's 'Yes' and '-dess' though. Plus a bit tsundere and I'm good to go. |

| The show is still highly intriguing and I like the many mythological, theological and historical references it has. I'd like to see an actual plot develop soon though instead of these mini-arcs. |
| Seriously? The amount of conflicting 'reviews' in this thread are mindboggling. One says its too fast, the other thinks its too slow.. :( This > Gosick. Gosick started with a high potential, but Kujou is a moron and everytime he says Victorika its making my ears bleed :|. |
