| That arc was amazing, too bad it only lasted a few episodes though. Before watching the arc I didn't think that Gintama would be able to be serious but it pulled it off well. Looking forward to Gintama going back to comedy in the next episode, even though I love when it is serious, I'm missing the comedy. |

The serioiusness came off as pretentiousness to me. I didn't like it. Can't complain about the length of the arc though. :) I'm just glad they didn't have 10 episode staring contests. |

| Really tight arrangement to end this arc. I'm a sucker for a serious scene in anime accompanied with a theme song in the background. Well formatted episode. After so long sticking to comedies and neat fillers, Gintama touches its root again back to the past memories meeting old comrades in addition to appearance of present day Amanto. Personally, I love the seriousness for a change. We don't see Gintoki fighting with a real sword (not his auction wooden sword) often, and shattering the Benizakura is so his style. Of course, the dialog keeps me enjoying the whole scene. You don't see samurai joke about diarrhea, image change, etc. often. XD The Gintoki-Zura... janai.. Gintoki-Katsura combo is just badass! Also, Kagura is GAR (ﾟ∀ﾟ)!! |

I kinda thought he was the manager all this while. I forget what gave me that idea. But, now that he's with Takasugi, I doubt that he is the manager.... |
| He's one of Takasugi's elite men, the same way Nizou and the others were. They talked about it briefly in ep 59. Gintama delivers again. The final battle was everything I was hoping for and more (including Shura in the background...awesome). As much as I love Gintoki's VA, I guess he does come off as slightly pretentious during his speeches. Regardless, a fantastic episode that was handled brilliantly. 7/5. ...So, is Zura going to keep his new slightly-less-girlish hair? |

That's like his side job...I guess and he listens to Otsuu's songs not Otae's. Otae is Shinpachi's sister. |

| Awesome episode!! I saw this in raw like years ago and now with subs, it was just GREAT. Kagura was so cool and Katsura so funny. Back to comedy next one, still looking forward to it! |

| LOVE. This was amazing. everything was great, everyone was awesome... (seeing a series where I just love all the characters is soo fun and refreshing)... Gin-chan in kickass shiroyasha mode was HOT. and loving Zura's new hair. was also nice to see the flashbacks.. ah it was pure awesome. I loved every moment... and actually the entire arc was amazing... I'm glad I'm waiting for subs for this series... they may be slow but so worth it <3 |

| Loved this entire arc! Gintama can be serious when it wants to be! Oh and some history was revealed between Gintoki, Katsura and Takasugi. I want to hear more about that, but that'll have to wait, since the comedy returns next eps.......... |

| I've got to say the Benizakura arc was amazing, enjoyed every moment of it. The various fights that took place over the 4 episodes were pretty cool and filled with action. The Shiroyasha vs Benizakura - Nizou fight scene kicked ass and showed how great Gintoki is Also liked how the episode ended, with Gin & Zura surrounded by the Amanto and them throwing some banter at each other. Can't wait to see their next encounter with Takasugi. :D Next ep looks to be a laugh, <3 whenever the Shinsengumi get screen time |

| I don't mind the seriousness of it all, I thought it was a nice touch (considering I almost dropped Gintama a few times because the humor was too over the top, hence me being so behind), and to the contrary, I thought they were trying too hard to add humor in. The last scene was the only funny thing in this entire arc. |

It's not Gintama at it's very best, but I think the fight scenes were much better than many shounen I've seen. |

| Whether it's the random episodes of comedy or these rare and serious arcs, Gintama always kicks ass. Overall, I liked the Benizakura arc better than Kagura's, even though Kagura's arc was more emotional. |
