Their idea of remaking the excalibur actually sounded plausible. Not going to lie, they made the forging segments more entertaining, mostly because of the character chemistry. The random humor added in made me smile.

Also serves as a good buildup episode with only 3 left.

When this series focuses on the lore it’s actually good, we all know that, except bringing Arthur to his usual self, who never lost that usual self to begin with, isn’t actually a discovery about the facts of their world we were willing to know. Seriously, this feels so out of place. And you know, that twist with Arthur’s parents appearing out of absolutely nowhere.. like in every literal sense, made this even more goofy or more like stupid.

I never liked the humour in this series, and an episode like this just proves my point. Don’t even want to get started on how Arthur’s parents, just like him, make very little sense every time they open their mouths. I mean hey, they left Arthur up on the surface only to go down in the nether and make three more kids… lmaoooooo. Excalibur or whatever is needed for Arthur to do the stuff he’ll do later, but yeah, still, they could’ve easily adapted this part as a mini segment in the last episode itself. Sheesh, the pacing is really just.. whatever.

Operation forge Arthur a new legendary sword βœ… this episode was funny as shit man. It’s nice to get a really relaxing and silly episode after how tense the Hibana/sister Sumire stuff was. Really enjoyed this and I can’t wait to see our knight king in action again.

The fact Arthur family just casually knows all the big reveals of the series that we been building up to forever years is so fucking funny man. When his dad just blurted out all the evangelist and spontaneous combustion stuff I started dying. The way they went on a trip to save the world but just been having babies in the nether the whole time.. This really the most delusional family ever πŸ˜‚

Also a little sad though because Arthur has missed out on his parents for God knows how long while his siblings(who he’s never even met) have had them the whole time. He plays it off like he’s too slow to understand or like he fully supports his dad’s seeing abilities but he’s really missing them you can tell at the end.

On the bright side, we have our legendary sword and now it’s time for Shinra’s training arc! Both our heroes got knocked down, can’t wait to see em rise back up. Chill episode, always nice to get more Lisa and Vulcan too! S/O to them for being patient with Arthur’s journey lol

I'm still so lost regarding Arthur's family, it was so random and I'm still waiting for a reveal saying that they were bad guys and tricking him or something like that but it is only because of how sad it really is, they abandoned him twice. Super goofy episode but it got serious right at the end, Shinra with that lovely answer about Benimaru being the hope and faith of his people and then Shinra's unconditional love for Shou.

All right we got through the goofy Arthur side quest, but not before an unexpected reunion with his parents. His dad's "delusions" regarding the church, the Evangelist, and human combustion were spot on though. It was a short-lived reunion as Arthur's parents dipped out yet again, but at least he got his new sword. Now it's time for Shinra's power up.

Feel like Arthur's behavior is influenced by genetic level rather than environment, it just runs in his family. Arthur doesn't need anyone to feel pity on him, he think he's fine as it is. Actually, I think it's not fair to view Arthur as abnormal when everyone in FireForce world is also quite abnormal. If everyone is abnormal, then it becomes normal.

Calm ep

We get to meet Arthur's parents and sadly, they are sum of the most messed up humans in the series. Not taking a child but creating in the same place, you swore wasn't save for living in. How do u call urself parents, after abandoning him twice. Luckily, Arthur's dumb self ignores it. Kind of the boring part of the ep.

My boy Yu and Arthur were decently funny with those faces

We are able to create his new swords and similar to what Zoro said, he will never lose again.

Looks like we are getting a convo between Shinra and Sho, through a adolla link.

This ep adapted from ch 203 to the end of 206, though they skipped sum panels for sum reason.

Well I wanna say it was a wholesome reunion, and it kinda was? But at the same time it’s hard to ignore the fact that Arthur’s parents are pretty terrible parents lol, you could argue they’re all oddballs and this just works for them, or possibly Arthur’s dad’s power is actually real and maybe he saw the future for Arthur and that’s why they left him, but yeah no matter how you look at it, it’s still pretty sad, it was cool to meet Arthur’s parents and new siblings tho. But this episode wasn’t about being sad, it was about Arthur getting a new epic sword! I love that it’s made from the tip of a rocket, very badass, the tech from the modern age is what will be used to defeat the mighty dragon.

I also gotta hand it to Lisa, girl tried to fit into Arthur’s fantasy but he didn’t even entertain the idea lol, I respect the play tho. Also Yu went absolutely nuts in this episode, didn’t realize this kid had the potential to react that strongly lol, but they were good moments. And now that the goofy yet melancholic Arthur quest is over, it’s time for some Shinra focus as he tries to enter Adolla by force, I guess sleeping really was the answer if he actually did speak to Sho at the end of the episode lol, and speaking of Sho, I’m happy to see that he’s finally gonna remember his brother again after getting his memory wiped once, or at least I really hope that’s what this means.

This entire episode was a trip. Vulcan, Lisa, and Yu's reaction to everything about Arthur and his family were exactly how I was reacting. I’m shocked that those were actually Arthur’s parents, I kept watching for some villains to pop out but that never came.

There are negligent parents and then there Arthur's parents.
At least he found his "orichalcum".

Still, once again the show conjures BS facts out of thin air:
Aluminum is completely unsuitable for a rocket cone or anything else requiring high temperatures, and that includes all its alloys - the melting point of which tops at ~700 C, not... 2,000 - 3,000 C (?!) as was claimed.

A great metal for a rocket cone -or a fire resistant version Excalibur sword- is tungsten or some high melting point titanium alloy. Vanadium, tantalum, silicon and nickel could also be used for high melting point steel or nickel superalloys.

At very high temps, long before their melting point, all metals and alloys lose a lot of mechanical strength; but that would be a non issue for Arthur, since he does not use his sword in a conventional way (metal on metal).

But any aluminum alloy would melt like butter at the temps Arthur is working with, which a few seconds of web search could have informed whoever wrote this.. 🀦🏼

I feel very iffy as to how the series portrays and treats Arthur's parents. They abandoned Arthur on the justification that they couldn't bring children to the nether, and then they fucked like rabbits in the nether and birthed a child, 3 nonetheless, but it is treated as comedic. This could've been a great emotional moment if the series took itself seriously.

On the comedic scenes I did like were Lisa's antics; her attempt to masquerade as a boss monster, made me chuckle a bit, and her conversations with Vulcan are cute.

Arthur’s parents need to be in either prison or at the very least an institution for the mentally unwell. I know it’s a show, I know it’s a very silly show but what other reaction am I supposed to have but disgust and anger? Like…I mean it’s making me laugh now as I write this just because it’s so inconceivable and ridiculous, but as I was watching I was appalled. I need them to pay for their crimes to humanity

I think the idea is that people like the Boyles percive reality differently and are aware of things that others are not.

A bit of stupidity mixing information in illogical ways but still correct in the end.

Because the point of all of this is not to hate on the delusional but trying to give them a place according to their needs.

A very gentle japanese way of thinking about matters I guess.

Ahmm, I don't even know what to say about this episode.

We finally got the conclusion to Arthur's character arc, that started all the way back in season 2, but at what cost?
Are we really supposed to believe that Arthur's father went into the nether thinking he was doing an important mission, while actually knowing the truth behind human combustion, something that wasn't revealed to the characters just yet (I think at least, maybe Hibana already told them).
This all "Arthur his dumb, just like his father" trope went too far this episode. It was genuinely frustrating to watch the episode. All of this buildup for this? Disappointing.
Not only that, but they abandon Arthur a 2nd time, and it just doesn't affect Arthur at least just a bit.
Yu was the only one spitting facts this episode, a character that hasn't appeared since season 1. So you're saying they left Arthur at home, because it was dangerous for him to be in the Nether, but then they went and had 3 more children in the Nether, and that wasn't a problem anymore? And they are Arthur's siblings, and the anime payed a total of 0 attention to that. The funny thing, is that right after this, they jump to Shinra dreaming about Sho, and the preview for the next episode shows Sho wants to see Shinra one more time. One of the main plot points of this anime is the sibling relation between Shinra and Sho, but they completely ignore Arthur's siblings and Arthur's relation with them.

I swear, I can't take this episode seriously. It has been really one of the worst episodes so far, not because of the fanservice, that was actually minimal this episode, but due to the other big problem of this anime, it just glues to tropes that makes the anime seem nonsensical, when it's trying to be serious. They completely sacrificed character development in order to maintain a trope, that isn't even funny at this point, since it's the only thing Arthur is doing at this point.

Really disappointed with how all of this turned out...
