Man, this was like the all out adventure episode. Food, traveling, taking photos, enjoying the outdoor nature. Loved somes of the photography they used for the episode.

Some of it as also resembles real life locations. Good for Satsuki and her friends enjoying life.

Something about this shot... I love it so much

Even as someone who doesn't really like most CGDCT, I've been enjoying this a lot these past couple episodes. Need more adventures of Ham-san asap. I mean, I think it'd be better than whatever she usually gets up to if that footage we saw was anything to go off xD

When people think about Sakuga, battle shonen and action oriented series come to mind, but don’t sleep on slice of life Sakuga. The last couple Mono episodes have had some absolutely scintillating scenes. The panoramic view ride and Haru sensei’s bus ride were incredible. S/O studio Soigné!

Is that photography FINALLY back in my photography anime? Like I said last week, I love the girls and enjoy seeing them go around to different places, but as a photographer I really wanna see them taking pictures and working through the basics of photography lol. The shots from Yatsugake turned out great and I enjoyed seeing them do a Timelapse of Haru sensei’s manga drawing process, but give us more!

Of course the horror mangaka is a goth girl lol. Kurokuma sensei is soo cute. Please keep her in this show consistently!

So is the “demon” possessing Haru just gonna be this series’ equivalent of the ghost from one room hero where we just acknowledge it in passing every other episode lmao? This was a fun one, can’t wait for next ep

Sakurako's such a cutie—not just her design but her personality as well. It was funny when she asked about the pig leg or the times she was saying the prayer.

I think Taishou has probably traveled all across Japan by now, considering how he’s known by the masses under so many different names.

It’s funny how this fluff anime turned into a horror show, and let’s not forget what Satsuki and An thought about Haruno being associated with successful and popular people.

This episode was so good.

Looks like Ms. Hamu loves ham and wants a lot of it. Sorry, I meant "pig leg". I'm still wonder how Taishou/Tama/Kotaro/Peko keeps appearing at places I don't expect him to be at. At least he's quite the popular one though. I love how the rest of the episode after that was about a ghost. It was so random but I loved every moment of it. I was NOT expecting an exorcism to happen today but, at least it was fun to watch.

Legends say that, that spirit is still lingering behind Haruno till this day.

A chance to escape the heat is defo a god send. A ham shop is defo something you don't see often. Taishou sure managed to range quite far thats for sure. The terrace sure was impressive. Bet the views from the top would be stunning. Hamu is quite the new nickname for Haruno. That sure was a lot of ham she brought. That was quite the car that Kurokuma sensei had. Though considering her sales records not unusual. That scene where they got the ghost to leave really was something and the OST for that was just perfect.

Haruno certainly lived up to her new "Hamu" moniker in this episode! I enjoyed watching the girls go off on a tour of Yatsugatake to escape the worst of the summer heat and the views in the mountain range looked fantastic. Satsuki using her camera while riding the chair lift up the mountain looked really good, both in terms of animation and the view the camera gave to us viewers. Of course, Haruno ending up spending too much money on ham. XD

The second half of the episode was also pretty fun, too. Kurokuma, Haruno's manga friend, is hugely successful and drives around in an expensive sports car, but she also knows in how to help Haruno with the ghost that's been bothering her thanks to the events of episode 3. A revisit to that same place and go through the tunnel via a bus was all that is needed to part ways with the ghost, but Soigne just had to throw in a few seconds of impressive sakuga animation in that tunnel segment just for the hell of it and I'm all for it.

After the spending she has done with the ham and taking a 6 hour trip back hone via a train, I can see her being strict on her funds for a while!

Why is there an exorcism in this silly mangaka/photography slice-of-life?? I thought it was setting up a joke, but the punchline never came...

I'm not sure why I'm still watching this, but I'm having a good time. It's funny how far the art style, the production quality and those wide-angle shots can take you.

Hamu san hehe..

I do wonder who pays for all of their travel. Girls or Haruno covers them. Also spending 25k on beefs just for a wine. Haruno must be rich af even being this lazy.

"You Dog basterds"
That's some manga name.
Didn't expect literal ghost to appear. But for seeing Kurokuma sensei it was worth it👍

Hilarious episode, as usual. I loved that they basically drove around Japan just to buy enough ham for Haruno, to prevent her grandma from mistaking the groceries in the fridge and accidentally cooking Haruno's personal stash, haha. I’ve got to say, “Hamuno” is such a perfect nickname for Haruno, especially when shortened to “Hamu”, haha.

Haruno and her ham aside, I loved the Samara-looking ghost girl. It was pretty hilarious that they went all the way back just to return her to her home, with both Haruno and the ghost girl dramatically saying their goodbyes, only for the ghost girl to tag along with Haruno on her way back anyway, haha. And then there’s Torayo, casually telling Haruno she’s done for the day because of work, so good luck dealing with the ghost girl, haha.

Well I guess ghosts are real in this show, I was wondering what this had to do with photography at first but I guess it was caught on a camera, close enough lol. And this bit introduced Kurokuma Sensei, she’s like a more mature version of another horror mangaka, being Fuura from Comic Girls, although I do wonder why the horror girls are always portrayed as spooky types or goths, I love horror and I’m a regular ass man lol, but I guess it is an anime and how else would you know they’re the horror themed character without the horror themed getup. But thankfully Kurokuma helped Haruno get rid of the ghost, only for it to come right back anyway lol, maybe this isn’t the last time we see the ghost girl.

And the first half of this episode was especially chill, it may not be all that focused on photography but I do love watching these girls explore new places, it’s just so chill, and we did get some amazing looking moments with the camera here so I don’t really have a problem with it. And two things are certain after this bit, the first is that Haruno really likes her ham, and the second is that Taishou the cat goes by many names and really gets around lol. I also thought the ski resort without snow was really cool here, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

No way there's a ghost LMAO it caught me off guard, I thought they were going to pull it as something like "oh it's just a girl that doesn't attract much attention" and introduce a new character like that, but it was really a ghost XD
Well, I really liked Kurokuma. She's really pretty, and seems like a cool character. I hope she appears more!

Taishou is a free cat, he goes anywhere he wants!, funny how they just left him there lol

Love the 360 shots in the lift with the 3 girls, the sceneries and the panoramic views always give a relaxing vibe, this is what a healing show is, aside from cute girls doing cute(and dumb) things.

I can't believe Hamu-san has a ghost(friend) that's been there since they went to the tunnel... well I guess she can use that as a reason why she's always slacking off haha.

Really like Kurokuma-sensei, cute and funny goth loli, hope she joins the group sometimes.

Was Satsuki suggesting it was an abuse of the action camera to use it for surveilance or timelapse?

Nice to see more camerawork, but, we're dipping into the paranormal genre now?
Not quite as cute as the ghost haunting the office worker from Shachiku-san wa Youjo Yuurei ni Iyasaretai., but still kindof cute.

Kurokuma reminds me of a more grown up Kuroneko (from Oreimo).

They use bait like that poor nobody Senpai in EP one and the Clubs.

In the end, it's all about Protag Mangaka and her (not JKs but her dear ghost friend included) friends.

I like that Mono is in some ways more lore-heavy about their shared universe than the original show. I mean, not only does it expand on the setting where the characters live, but it also adds in various characters outside of Rin and Nadeshiko's school. Even ghosts, lmao. Also, I was surprised that Kurokuma is voiced by one of the rising young stars, Hina-chan. She definitely has a talent for mysterious and charismatic characters.

@Skuvan It's not like my region is as rich in culinary traditions, but the idea of just getting in the car and driving to a neighboring town for unique, delicious dishes seems incredibly tempting.

100%, if it were just a neighboring town, sure. But I don’t think that’s all it was, haha. In the last few episodes, they’ve been traveling all around Japan, or at least that’s how I remember it, since I watched the episode a couple of days ago.

Like, I wouldn’t mind driving to a nearby town with friends to grab some food, that’d be amazing to do once in a while. But going all over the country like that every day? That’d totally wreck our bank accounts with gas and fast food expenses, haha

Everyone's talking about how this ep confirmed ghosts, and I agree that it not being a prank camera effect or something subverted my expectations. But the real thing for me is Taishou's omnipresence. They didn't even give him a lift to the next place after seeing him in town. It doesn't matter how many towns away it is, I'm pretty sure the cat can teleport at this point.

Kinda weird how the show appears to actually be mostly about Haruno rather than the three set up to be the main leads. She's by far the most dynamic/interesting character and always the one driving the plot. It's different, at least, but I kinda wonder why they went through the effort of all that set up to give them so little dialogue/focus.

Some more good dialogue from Shikishima this week, definitely feel she's the best character of the club ones.

I sometimes forget Satsuki is even there tbh. They seem to have ditched the initial premise of her trying to do more with photography through the club (Kako has been the one pushing photography in this ep, not the club, and the trip was not framed as having anything to do with the club), which again is surprising given how much initial focus it got. Based on Yuru Camp, which tried to put its most character-heavy episodes at the beginning and end of its first season, I'm guessing it'll show up at the end of the season. But it sure would be nice to see some kind of link between episode themes beyond "Haruno takes everyone on a trip for some reason."

To be fair, Hafrono's also listed as a main character but very special because she's the protagonist. Just look, she has a genius fat cat, awesome friends, the trio JKs follow her around like a bee, even a ghost like her a lot.

You want more club activities and less Hafrono? Forget it, the show itself forgot about the school, the clubroom, and it even manage to forgot that the trio girls are high schoolers. So yeah, just enjoy the wild ride I guess.

I spent the entirety of the back half of the episode waiting for the rug pull where they reveal the ghost girl and the exorcism and everything are all just pranks. I was psyched when it turned out, nope, they're committing to the bit. Ghosts just exist in this setting. Amazing LMFAO. it's funny how they barely touch the photograph part of the story, lol

the girls from the club most of time are just along for the ride, while we focus on the daily adventures of the mangaka

not complaining, it's all good... but it's curious
