| In the Aureatia prison, there lies Nihilo the Vortical Stampede, the revenant who's known to have once annihilated an entire Aureatia nation and is imprisoned until her specific use. Meanwhile, the 17th Minia Minister, Elea the Red Tag, teaching a fellow elf of Yawika on the various magic Arts uses, but that she can't exactly tell her the real reason why she's here. On the other hand, there is Kia the World Word awaiting her bathing time as a fellow elf. Though her usage of Word Arts is rather unkempt, Elea advises her to tone it down since she's starting school soon in Aureatia, for someone who dislikes studying. Of course, there is the Imperial hero selection which Elea is aiming with Kia for, but that everything within of her must remain a secrecy. Kia's World Word power is impressive at best, the one who rejects all law and logic. Still more character introductions to go...which can feel like a slow burn. |

| So they decided to release and set Nihilo on a mission, despite being having one of the most malicious and worst personalities in their world. Desperate times calls for desperate measures I guess. Hey, at least they they kept her personality true to the promos. Tone of this episode was kinda strange...adding the fan service and more relaxing segment involving Kia and Ela. They're definitely fleshing out each of the main characters from the lineup, just in different ways. |

| I'm thinking we'll get to see all these folks in the big tournament pretty soon. Upon receiving a report of the complete annihilation of the intelligence unit infiltrated into the New Principality of Lithia, Hidow the Clamp, the Twentieth Minister of Aureatia, takes drastic measures. He releases and intends to exploit the most formidable threat that once endangered Aureatia, the notorious Nihilo the Vortical Speed. Meanwhile, another Twentieth Minister of Aureatia, Elea the Red Tag, known for the red memo paper, infiltrates an Elf village away from Aureatia. Posing as a teacher, she finally discovers the target entity. I'm not sure if Kia is just really perceptive or if she's playing the tsundere card, but she's quick to call out Elea for being a not-so-great adult who lies about caring for her students. It's interesting to see Elea planning to use Kia's talents to win the tournament. The power system seems more like spirit magic, especially after the teacher's (who turns out to be a spy) explanation. Kia's powers, on the other hand, look like pure magic without needing any go-between. Things are definitely getting more interesting in the world, but I'm really hoping we get to see more of Soujirou soon. |

| 12:15 This week's eyecatch: Language This world has no common language, each individual one is constructed with its own distinctive grammar and phonation (the production and utterance of speech sounds). This is due to translation of each language's meaning by the Word Arts. (This basically means that everyone can understand every other language with Word Arts. Damn, convenient.) A conversation can be formed as long as one has a language, even if they are non-human, or a Visitor from the Beyond.  I saw some people complaining about SDH subtitles. Honestly idk why do sites upload anime with SDH subs for Netflix and Disney Plus/Hulu anime. The episodes that I download always have both SDH and regular English subs + a ton of other languages. I really feel like 12 is not enough for this. I hope a sequel is announced right after this ends. How's the pacing compared to the LN btw? Are they still adapting the first volume? Nice exposition. Always thought that Word Arts were really cool, nice to leard more about them. Kia is hella OP, damn. I feel like she could solo everyone in this universe. But there is probably a limit. Ah, so at 19:27 by "World Word" Elea mean Kia. I wonder how do they get all these titles lol. Or maybe it's just a quirk of this series, I won't mind if this is never explained. Really good episode. |

| Damn, Kia’s word magic is seriously broken. I feel like she’s the most dangerous person in the tournament so far despite being the youngest lol. Surely her abilities will have pros and cons, but from what we saw in this ep and how highly sensei rates her.. she’s gonna be a problem. Lot of cool worldbuilding in this episode(and fanservice). The magical arts are very nuanced and lot of depth to them. Craft arts, life arts, etc. there’s a ton of thought that went into this story. I just wish we would start progressing with the actual battle royale lol. I guess it does make things a lot more interesting when all the characters are well established. Everyone’s got their own cool special abilities, motivations and powers and I can’t wait to see how they all fit together in this battle royale. Still kinda confused on who the MC is supposed to be.. guessing it’s dude from the first episode? I’ve never seen a straight up battle royale like this before so this is a very novel experience that I’m loving |

| who is even the main character? i thought it'd be the 2 from the first episode but we literally haven't seen them since and every single episode has had a different plot and different characters. as far as i can tell, nothing is really connecting the episodes besides the power/magic system. is this show ever going to get into an actual plot? are we going to see any of the characters again? |

| That's almost absurdly overpowered. I mean, if her ability is pretty much exactly how they describe it with no off-panel limitations. She's basically a walking God. |
| I don't really think there is supposed to be a main character and I'm fine with that. I like these introductions, everyone is likeable in their own way, which is going to make the war really sad. I have a feeling the rating is going to go up in the latter half of the cour. |

| Yeah I’m dropping this. By themselves, these episodic stories are written well, and the characters are interesting, but as a whole story this is just abysmal. It’s fine to lean heavily into character building, but the thread that weaves them all together is so thin it’s practically nonexistent. Aside from the intro each episode and the story’s synopsis, as well as the occasional reference to similar locations or countries, there’s basically no story here. Pity. I’m sure the story will eventually bring them all together and become more fun, but I just don’t have the patience for this kind of lackluster narrative. Maybe once it’s finished I’ll give it another try so I can skim through it real quick as needed. |

| Bruh the bandit, I'd like to see him fight off with Soujirou. Kia is uhm great if she can manage to say something before you strike, which by the looks of it there are a lot of characters that move faster than she can speak. |

| I don't appreciate Elea's line of work, but she looks wonderful :) It's a shame that the elf village is going to get raided sometime in the future. They seem so peaceful in their secludedness. |
| Kia definitely seems like she'd die nearly first in any serious combat between the characters introduced so far, assuming it's literal that she has to speak a command for the world to obey. We've seen several combat people who could kill her before she even notices, I suspect. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| After the first episode I thought I would drop this anime, but it slowly grows on me. The concept is actually clever; I assume we're going to have a battle royale at some point, but since none of the featured characters is the protagonist, there's no way to tell who's gonna win. That already eliminates the issue of plot armor that a lot of anime have. Plus I really like that we're introduced to the powers before the tournament, and not during it like you see a lot of times in other anime. |

| Well, for the looks of it the next chapter we still are getting introductions. The tournament has to be of epic proportions with so many characters and powers. While kia's power is OP I don't see her winning or even getting far in it to be honest. |
| So more characters were introduced including Nihilo and Kia, with Elea accompanying Kia. That elf girl putting her head between Elea's chest did what some of us were probably thinking lol. Anyway, I hope that the character introductions are done but the title of the next episode implies otherwise. |

| Damn another instant kill cheat user here? With just one word, the nature obey her command even if she said die anyone would just die? Sasuga my Yuuki got such an interesting character, none other that an elf! Tho, by how Kia called Elea, a professor Viper, which naturally suited well with her job there, but there's no detail explaining why Kia subjectively following her around to the Auretia capital. Its kinda gives such a missing piece to her introduction here. Perhaps Kia just being a tsundere and thats all? Or perhaps Elea just too good to be a manipulator teacher than any other minister? Or perhaps, well, let's just continue along then! Beside her, there another powerful woman introduced as well and she voiced by Rieri. The black spider woman. Looks like a woman supremacy episode here, i guess, and its all good... |

| Once again, the next episode involves the introduction of new characters, but unlike the previous two, it was not boring. I wonder how this elf's opponents will be able to survive in the future, because this word magic seems too strong and, for example, the Samurai from the first episode has no chance. It's a bit funny that this new character is an elf and has almost the same hairstyle as Frieren XD |
