Hello everyone, and welcome to the country guessing game of the MAL Bunkasai Event.
For this game, you'll be given a screenshot of anime that take place or are heavily inspired in real countries. Your job is to guess the 5 unique countries that I chose for this event. A new image will be added for each country on the 13th, 15th and 17th of september, ending with a total of 4 images per country.
To submit your answers, you will have to fill the Google Form linked at the end of this post. After I check your answers, you will be notified of how many answers you had right and which. You will only be allowed to submit one answer (of 5 countries) until a new image is revealed (i.e. only 1 answer between the 12th and 13th of September). On the last guessing window, you will be able to make 2 guesses.
To complete this game, you are allowed to do almost any search you want. Browsing what appears in the image, using Street View, looking for Geoguessr tips, checking my own list (not that all of the anime I've used is there), recognizing the anime, working in teams... The only exceptions are image searches, which remove the fun from the game. I would also ask players not to give additional hints outside what can be seen in the images until all 4 images per country are shared. Then again, I can't control if you cheat and there is no real reward to those who complete this challenge, so this is all up to you.
You will get your ticket with the correction of your game if you have at least 3 correct answers. A winner ticket is given to those who guess the 5 countries.
EDIT: Due to the sheer amount of PMs that I need to send, I need to automate the process, so there is a new Google Form that tells you which answers you had wrong. You still can only guess once per window. I will still PM you the tickets manually, so I strongly advice against using multi-accounts to answer more times than you should.
Note: I still manually check the submissions, so typos will be corrected on my end. Please do care about capital letter usage on your answer to avoid trouble.

I want to say a big thank you to all of those who have PMd me saying that they enjoyed the event, and also to those who have written comments along with their guesses. It was fun how some people were so accurate, as well as those who failed misserably but somehow got the country right anyway. I haven't been able to answer most of those because of the sheer amount of PMs I had to send, but I did read them.
Now I'm going to reveal the answers and the anime. Click on the spoilers for more information of each country.
COUNTRY 1: United States of America
Accepted answers (not including typos): United States of America, United States, US, USA. Common invalid answers: America (it's a continent and also the way US people call their country, ambiguous answer), New York (it's a city, not a country).
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S - 10 – 06:43 – The image corresponds to the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain in New York.
Banana Fish - 01 – 06:41 (of a version with no opening) – The image corresponds to an unspecified location in New York, probably in the Bronxx.
Banana Fish - 21 – 06:40 – The image corresponds to the New York skyline, specifically on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S - 10 – 04:37 – The image corresponds to the Times Square in New York.
Notes: Probably the easiest one, maybe I should have swapped images 1 and 2 and added something a little bit more obscure instead of one of the obvious pictures 3 and 4. I was surprised to see that so many people had watched the second season of Kobayashi-San Chi no Maid Dragon, but that's my fault for not checking beforehand.
COUNTRY 2: Spain
Accepted answers (not including typos): Spain, Kingdom of Spain, ES, ESP. Common invalid answers: Canary Islands (it's a region, not a country).
Nasu: Andalusia no Natsu – 19:22 – The image corresponds to an unspecified location in Andalusia (South Spain), most likely on the north of it in Jaén.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island – 00:02:59 – The image corresponds to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, one of the two capital cities of the Canary Islands, the Spanish islands in Africa. The picture is a copy of a photo on the city's Wikipedia page in English.
Nasu: Andalusia no Natsu – 32:09 – The image corresponds to the an unspecified location in Andalusia (South Spain), most likely on the north of it in Jaén.
Yuri!! on Ice – 01:18 – The image corresponds to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Easy to recognise thanks to the cranes in the background.
Notes: Probably the trickiest one, except for those with basic stalking skills. I changed my location in MAL, but I did not delete the Interest Stack that I took so long to make. Apart from that, the landscape is mediterraneaon on the first picture, the second picture is either an island or a peninsula, and a relatively big city with a port. The third picture gives away the language (Spanish or Portuguese) and also how streets look, and then the fourth is one of the most famous monuments.
COUNTRY 3: Italy
Accepted answers (not including typos): Italy, Republic of Italy, Italian Republic, IT, ITA. Accepted answers due to my own error (only after Image 4): Vatican City, Holy See.
JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze - 08 – 21:15 – The image corresponds to the Capri Island in Italy, exactly in the sea in front of the Via Cristoforo Colombo (near the port).
JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze - 18 – No exact minute, I didn't take the screenshot – The image corresponds to the Via della Libertà, in Venice.
Aria the Natural - 02 – 14:31 – The image corresponds to a location heavily inspired in the Piazza San Marco, in Venice.
Maria-sama ga Miteru 3rd - 05 – 24:23 – This is the image that I mistakenly posted. It corresponds to the Piazza San Pietro, in Vatican City.
Notes: Although I messed up because I'm dumb and copied the wrong file with a similar name, this country was easy to guess starting from Image 2, because JoJo is that famous. In case you are wondering, here is the picture that I was supposed to post instead of Image 4.
Maria-sama ga Miteru 3rd - 05 – 24:46 – This image corresponds to the Piazza di Spagna in Rome.
COUNTRY 4: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Accepted answers (not including typos): United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, UK, GBR. Common invalid answers: England (it's represented in the United Nations under the United Kingdom), Great Britain (Northern Ireland exists), London (it's a city, not a country).
K-On! Movie – 00:59:45 – This image corresponds a landscape in London, more specifically taken from the Hotel ibis London Earl's Court (in the anime, you can see the characters stay in that hotel).
K-On! Movie – 1:00:30 – This image corresponds to an unspecified park in London, most likely Hyde Park.
K-On! Movie – 1:00:51 – This image corresponds to the Abbey House in London (there is a sign specifying it).
K-On! Movie – 1:17:55 – This image corresponds to the London Skyline, with extremely famous locations like the London Eye, Westminster Bridge, Big Ben and the Westminster Abbey where the Queen has just had her funeral as I write these words.
Notes: Another country that was surprisingly easy at the beginning and unsurprisingly easy at the end. Those rooftops are very specific and you can see ships in the background of the first picture, but I got more correct answers than I expected. I almost put a Scottish picture of an anime of the 80s, but K-On! looks way too good for me to do that.
COUNTRY 5: Singapore
Accepted answers (not including typos): Singapore, Republic of Singapore, SG, SGP.
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho - 06 – 05:48 – This image corresponds to the Esplanade Bridge (do not mistake with Benjamin Sheares Bridge).
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho - 06 – 09:35 – This image corresponds to the Singapore skyline in Marina Bay (I haven't checked the location from which the picture is taken, but given the angle it's likely Marina Bay Sands).
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho - 06 – 06:02 – This image corresponds to the Marina Bay Sands.
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho - 06 – 06:19 – This image corresponds to the Merlion.
Notes: Westerners may have trouble with this country if they don't recognise the anime or follow Formula 1 (Marina Bay is the street circuit they go to in 2 weeks), but the last two pictures are easy to Google (a friend found Marina Bay Sands by googling "three skyscrapers and a boat on top"), so there is no excuse for not guessing it. :P.

I already submitted. Although I like geography (And because of the biome and buildings I was able to guess 2/5 countries without searching). I suffered a lot with country 5, it cost me too much.
