| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Big stepper Kaido. Episode didn't cover the whole chapter, but the beginning of the announcement was great. A bit slow overall yet decent. Nice that the director of the Kanjuro traitor reveal episode got to work on this one as well. The OST's were pretty solid again. In particular liked Luffy's fierce attack during the Akazaya face off and the Kaido one that got played at the end. The epic transition from Kaido to Big Mom's entrance gave me the chills. The scene captured her creepiness perfectly. So well done. Also updated opening |

| Well, the little conversation between Yamato and Luffy is interesting. Luffy looking down when he heard that Ace was talking about him back in the days felt so emotional. On the other hand, you have Kanjuro being the ultimate traitor. Kaido and Big Mom scene was just epic, I got no words for that. Pretty okay episode. forgot to mention the adorable sound that yamato made in the end, my heart cant take this |

| Nice Scabbards scenes this episode, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi complimenting each others weapons, Kiku trying to give a chance to Kanjuro, but Kanjuro proving once again he's such a great actor to be able to deceive them for so long, also being a person who beats a child ruthlessly.. The ending part with Yamato & Luffy was interesting, looks like Luffy will get her free soon. Kaido finally announced the alliance between Big Mom and him and their plans together which include acquiring the goddamn Ancient Weapons!! |
| Looks like it's finally time to take on the enemies. Akazaya are facing Kaanjuro and his men on the outside while Luffy is still there with Yamato. She has her dreams to set out to the sea on an adventure. Nami and Carrot has been captured by Big Mom and it's not looking good for them. Poor Momo got beaten to a pulp by Kanjuro. |

| God all the dragging in the Kanjuro scenes really ruined the impact of that skirmish for me. Also why does the anime insist on building up the Ace stuff? I think this is the first time that they've skipped ahead by so many chapters to bring up a plot point that isn't supposed to happen yet. I liked Big Mom's entrance at the end, but everything else was just more of the same. |
| The Akazaya Nine got a lot of screen time this episode which was quite nice. Sad to see Law not fighting alongside them but it was something I kinda expected of him. Now we got the big showdown between the Akazayas and Kanjuro. We saw the condition of Momo and how badly it looked, but what a cruel scene when they showed how it actually happened. What kind of human trash do you have to be to hit a little kid. It's the absolute worst.... The gifters aside, because they're too weak to normally be mentioned at all, the main fight will definitely be Kiku vs Kanjuro. Even after the betrayal and all what Kanjuro did, Kiku still believes their "friendship" meant anything to him, but instead Kanjuro was just slobbering over his great acting skills which is disgusting. I wished Nami, Carrot and Shinobu hang on a little bit longer. They got caught way too easy and not even by Big Mom herself, but rather just by the things she gave a soul with her ability. That's a RIP for Zeus. Loved the conversation between Yamato and Luffy. I always smile and get sad at the same time when I see Ace. I miss him so much ;_; What a piece of shit Kaido is. Imagine beating up your kid and giving it handcuffs which explode if it leaves the island. No wonder Yamato never felt freedom. But did I see it right? She wants to join Luffys crew? That would be so sick. Please, for the love of god let the monster quin-tett happen :D If there's nothing special about the handcuffs, it should be easy for Luffy to take them off. I see, so Kaido wants to collect the ancient weapons which was also the reason why he allied with Big Mom. At this point I wonder if this would have also happened if the world government didn't decide to abandon the seven warlords. Anyways, can't wait to see some Kiku action next week. |

| The only good thing was Momonosuke getting beaten ... This feels so dragged on and they show you the same things over and over every episodes like we forgot it in a week ... just pause the damn anime already for a year and let the manga have more chapters instead of making 1 chapter per episode ... How many episodes have they shown Oden in the fire or the samurais saying : "We endured 20 years and kept a low profile to avenge Oden" ... it's like every episodes they have to say and show it. |

| Ah so that is why Oda cutted off Cat vipers hand off, it's to attach a cool weapon to it ! I wonder what dogstorm would get for his leg if thats the case. *14 minutes later* a leg knife, sweet! I'm glad they turned Kanjuro into a villian, I was never a fan of his design. Good to see Dogstorm and Catviper getting along and fascinated to their new body weapon attachments to their limbs ! How did the electrcity not surge through to Shinobu after Nami attacked the lamp? BUT DOES THIS MEAN THAT YAMATO IS A POTENTIAL TO JOIN THE STRAWHAT CREW?!!??! O_O |

| The OP changed a little, we finally get to see Yamato in all her glory in the OP! Now I felt as though this ep really has slow pacing, even with One Piece standards, the full backstory between Ace and Yamato hasn't been revealed yet, so does the grand announcement that Kaido is about to announce. However, we do get some sense of brutality with Kanjuro beating the shit out of Momo who's still a child. Most kid would've died there, but as Kanjuro said, Momo held on to his. |
