| i don't know, i watched over 20 years ago and i still like it, and not just because of nostalgia. as for calling it a ripoff, that's kinda harsh. only thing superman and goku have in common is that they are both aliens who arrived as babies on earth. also i think akira toriyama was inspired by kinnikuman here and not superman. |

| I haven't watch DBS yet, but DB and DBZ are classics, and they revolutionized and popularized anime and inspired many of the series we know and love today. There's nothing wrong with making comparisons to other shounen series. If you've actually watched the series and payed attention, then you'd know that DB does have plot. Also Goku is overpowered, your point being? |

| Dragon ball isn't for everyone, that I acknowledge. But to say that dragon ball is plotless, saying that he is a superman rip off with no evidence is just stupid. Also, Goku isn't overpowered. He maybe overpowered in a different story but there are always villains or someone stronger than him in dragon ball. The main point of dragon ball is improvement as he get stronger every arc and isn't just strong for no reason. Being overpowered is being extremely powerful compared others that are living in the same universe. |
THAT IS CALLED A FUCKING MEME. It revolve around how the power scaling in dragon ball is so off that compared to other universes, he is just a being beyond imagination. But there are still some characters in dragon ball that can still beat goku. |
