Well this is pretty depressing all around. I hope Fuji will turn this around in last chapter somehow.

But like I thought, Makima was after CSM because of love, not because of any utopia bullshit and stuff like that, but I guess she might realize just now that she has been pursuing the wrong person.

I wasn't expecting Denji to eat her as a human. I thought Chainsaw Man-sama might eat her.
This was depressing.

Wishing for a Power epilogue now.

Glad he had a sort of creative solution, instead of just suiciding. Return of Genius Denji. Seeing him eat Makima is a bit awkward though, lol.

I wonder if she'll be able to controll him in the next chapter, or something like that. I'm also hoping we'll get to see Power again, and some of the other characters. Also it would be sad if something happened to Kishibe.

I can't begin to explain how fucking genius this chapter was.
The fact that it was Pochita disguised as Denji via being in the weaker form of Chainsaw Man the whole time, which is why he was able to make quick work of the Hybrids and why his arms were metal.
The fact that after all of Makima's shit-talking on who "Chainsaw Man" is ending up with her having been fighting and talking to Pochita this whole time.
The fact that fucking Pochita and Denji managed to beat Makima without a power-up, but with an actual fucking smart plan to catch her off-guard with that SICK visual callback to the very first magazine cover for the series.
The fact that Denji severed himself from Makima's view of who "Chainsaw Man" should be under Makima's gaze by dealing the finishing blow by himself and Power's ability.
The fact that Makima got her comeuppance in the most ironic way possible, being eaten slowly not by Chainsaw Man, but by Denji, with that last spread paralleling the one of Makima having breakfast after mindbreaking Denji.

Bravo, Fujimoto. Best shounen in years without a doubt in my mind.

Respect to Fujimoto learning his lesson from Fire Punch. Once 90% of your named characters have been killed you have to end your manga quickly, lol

Chainsaw Man was a wild ride for me. I love stories about fucked up broken people trying their best and that's the pure essence of CSM.

I was worried after leaks but after reading it and taking the time to digest the chapter, it's honestly amazing what he did with these few chapters.

I just wonder what kind of last chapter we are getting, but I don't see this ending very well unless Makima gets some character conclusion by realizing that what she wants isn't real and changing her opinion of CSM/Denji/both.

Another thing is that I like how it was confirmed that Makima really was just autistic about love. The bit with where she tries to smoke to feel cool but starts coughing is great way to characterize her.

Mindbogglingly amazing chapter.

I think he has to do one last meal before he prepares for his heroic sacrifice in the final chapter,because Denji survives in this chapter for now because the next chapter he will probably be killed off by making a heroic sacrifice using the power he receives form makima after he ate her flesh.

-csm has one more chapter left so she will be back probably
-the motivation of makima was to get the real csm (pochita) out of denji and as we saw the one who fought makima this last chapters was pochita so minutes before she dies she realised that there was no way to get the real csm

this ending, however sudden it feels, I have some hope for it. Fujimoto at every single fucking turn has surprised the shit out of us with the last thing we expected each time we started having ideas. I am hopeful

2. Maybe in a short spin off they could have him go search for power if he doesn't' next chapter. He did contract to find them again.

3. She says it. She wanted to either control the chainsaw devil or be eaten by it and Denji was in the way of that.

The moment where the Chainsaw Man is near to the conclusion, it was when the action chapters were done in just one by one chs instead of two chs. It could feel weird for the first time reading the ch 94 with the weakened form of Chainsaw defeating all of the Hybrids + zombies or in ch 95 with Makima pulling the heart like knowing nothing, besides that in the ch 88 she clearly saw the Chainsaw Man throwing his heart to the earth.
Anyway, I realy like the plan to defeat Makima, with some howevers and buts, and the "ending" like a moment of Texas Chainsaw with Denji eating Makima to become one(The ChainSawMan).
Denji was pretty smart for making this insane and clever plan, like using his heart as bogey while he's infiutrated in the middle of the Makmia's Squad to make a sneak attack and also tearing appart the woman, good. However, it worked for Makima making some weird and close to stupid action or acting out of her character. I mean, it hard to believe that this girl acted like had not knowledge about Chainsaw regenerating or something like that in the moment where she rips the heart. Also, Makima didn't notice the presence of Denji in the crowd of Devil Hunters, Ok...
As for the moment of Denji eating Makima to become one, pretty much crazy, insane and Fujimoto as Fujimoto, at same time it was very middle grounded. It's the first time that i saw a WSJ MC protagonist that eats the main heroine and at same time main villan... Bravo, bravo, bravo.

At first I thought that this chapter was great. I saw the chainsaw call back right away but there were some other foreshadowing and other callbacks I didn't notice. When I had some time to sit on this chapter and saw those I realized this was an amazing chapter. However I am confused hoe Denji survived. Maybe I am misunderstanding but the Denji who fought Makima was Pochita. So if that is the case how did Denji survive without his heart? I was under the impression that without it he would die. How did he get back from space? Was the Denji with Kishibe and Kobeni Denji or Pochita?

- Reze was the part of Makima’s hunting squad, she was killed in chapter 88 by Denji.
- There is still time for Power to come back in the last chapter
- Makima is the ultimate manipulator, she is in contract with the Control Devil, she is the one who witnessed The Chainsaw Man defeating (and eating) all of the strongest devils created by WW ll, Nazis, Aids and so on, she is also the one who manipulated Denji into killing Aki and ultimately the Gun Devil because he is the biggest threat in the modern world. She only wishes to use the Chainsaw Man to end the problems of the world like hunger and poverty by having Denji eat those exact devils (chapter 84). The only way Makima can control Denji is by beating him in a fight, her powers only allow her to control anyone who is lesser than herself, so she must defeat him.
Her true motivation was always good, she wants to make the world a better place by getting rid of it’s problems, the same way that she manipulated Denji into killing many devils so that people would celebrate the Chainsaw Man, many devils slain and Chainsaw Man weakened at the same time.

She may look evil, but she is doing the right thing. Her motivations are heroic.

This chapter really just makes me want to see the next one. Makima letting her guard down like that. I guess it makes sense she couldn't be beat directly, but even this feels like a stretch. I agree with Kishibe as well though, in that I also don't think this will work.

Power's blood shouldn't be able to permanently keep Makima from regenerating, and her contract is still in place. Digestion is just essentially acid which she should be capable of coming back from. Being eaten by Denji who has Pochita in him isn't the same as chainsaw man eating Makima as well.

And, really, how would control just disappear? This is what I mean, this chapter just makes the next chapter more enticing. The true ending, whatever it will be, has yet to come.

He survived thanks to the contract he made with Power, using the Blood Devil's ability. He only survived for a short while though without his heart, I'd imagine if Pochita took any longer with his bait and switch Denji would've died. The two of them came up with a pretty fucking genius plan to take Makima down.
